  1. They showed on the broadcast that after returning to the sidelines following the offenses TD on their first possession of the 2nd half, Allen was passionately screaming at the D , in a good way , motivating them before stepping on the field. That was a fire I didn't know Allen possessed and my favorite moment of the game. It showed me the stage isn't too big and he's ready to be a vocal leader. Definitely encouraging sign you like to see from your future franchise QB
  2. The only silver lining about the first 2 games is we have yet to see our full offense. Daboll has been forced to scrap his playbook by the 2nd quarter because he's down 2-3 scores. The little we have seen of the run game looks very encouraging , Ivory looks surprisingly explosive. As long as this D gets their heads out of their butts , we'll see a much more complete offense and Allen on full display. When your defense gives up 4 consecutive TDs in your first start , and the defense knows you're forced to go pass heavy , that's about as tough as it gets for him.
  3. I second this. Just focusing on his on field ability, he is the best WR since T.O and Moss, with Megatron # 2 and Julio #3 imo. He's a gamer , this is the first i'm hearing about AB just worried about stats over winning. Always viewed him as a guy that wants to get Ws
  4. The first half he was absolutely atrocious, and I very rarely bash players so harshly , especially a rookie , but like you said, he was directly responsible for numerous huge plays in the first half that eventually resulted in TDs. The Chargers intentionally exploited him play after play after play. It was at the point where i felt he should have been pulled. At the same time, alot of that is on the coaches for putting him in positions he clearly isn't comfortable in. In the second half though, the whole defense looked different , and i'm very interested to look at what was done with Edmunds specifically. I know McD took over play calling too, but if we can see that defense going forward, this team can be successful. I absolutely loved Allen firing up the defense after the O scored on their first possession in the 2nd half. Back to Edmunds, if he does turn out to be a bust, that'd be a terrible look for Beane, giving up the 65th and 22nd pick to move up 6 spots. But, if he did turn out to be bad at the mike, he's so versatile and physically gifted, he can attempt to play any LB position and DE... But ya, it's at the point where ya gotta almost take him off the field if he's going to be picked on like that. I mean 10/10 in Red zone percentage for our opponents is hard to do for a defense and the MLB plays a big role down there......Maybe Preston had a bigger impact on this defense than we thought??? We're def missing something out there.
  5. I overlooked that. We're really paying him 3 Mil!?!??
  6. Perfect example of the house always winning.. From an outside perspective casual fans might think they can be in trouble but anyone with a n ounce of football I q and knows anything about Buf , knows there is 0% chance of this happening. Jesus the overreacting and hot takes have reached a new level this year..
  7. Lol. I think in all seriousness , Peterman is your classic QB that will look good and efficient in practice vand scrimmages , but when the real bullets fly , it seems the stage is clearly to big for him. No flow, no consistentcy, the whole O looks like it didn't believe in him. I figure the coaches saw enough in practice to have confidence that he'd be serviceable at least , but learned the hard way that he cannot be trusted to run an offense at this level in a real game. He clearly needs more time to develop. On the bright side, it's a good thing he was so bad, we now get to see Allen sooner than anticipated , clearly Allen has superior talent and looks like the stage isn't too big for him, will be interesting to see how he performs Sunday, if he's the real deal , we are set up lovely for the next decade +.
  8. I disagree. In those final 7 games, only week 16 was ugly, the other Pat's game was close up until the late 4th . Allowing under 20 points on every team besides NE was impressive , especially in Nov/Dec... All with one of , or the most inconsistent and unimaginable O in the league. If Allen can just play better than Taylor, which isn't far fetched, we can definitely have a successful year, as I'm confident the D will bounce back and be improved over last year . Again, I just think after last year, this team and coaching staff deserve a longer leash
  9. You didn't list week 12,14,15,17 .. Including Jax, So the final 7 games ,the Bills gave up 23 (to the Pats)and 30+.. The 5 other games were under 20! I guess it's a positive trend...
  10. Welcome. I like your way of thinking! Glad you finally signed up!! I agree with your points to the tee. The overreacting is reaching outrageous levels , this team deserves better from the fans.
  11. Exactly , this was my main point. I don't think I've seen it this bad on here. I watched week 1 , yes it was ugly, I personally attribute alot of that to Peterman , who seems to be a classic QB who looks good in practice but is absolutely atrocious in a real game. Just the energy Allen brought to the offense and sidelines was an improvement , you can see it in the offense and even seems like it spreaded throughout the team. But ya , I guess it's just the social media era and the instant reactions and million of hot takes out there , the truth is we won't know who the real big dogs of the NFL are for another month or so . Shoot, Even if we lose and Allen looks good , the whole tone of the board will change and the 0-16, 1st pick in the draft posts will slip into oblivion
  12. I understand things aren't looking too good , to say the least but a win Sunday, and the whole tone of the season changes. Just last year , after 3 straight blowout losses , this team never quit like so many do in that situation . They walk into a desperate KC teams stadium and hush the Arrowhead crowd.,go on to finish 4-2 and sneak into the playoffs. I think this coaching staff is excellent but simply had an awful day at the office but this can be a good thing and learning experience for the players and coaches , who got a harsh reality check last week. Adjustments will be made, and I have faith in this staff and team as just last year they bounced back after those 3 games , with a very similar narrative. Team was 6-2 at home. If Allen looks good, the D rebounds and we win , this board will be singing a completely different tune. There's still plenty room for optimism despite local and national opinions and nearly every post on here.
  13. The kid has to start. Some incredible throws , defenses have to respect his deep ball which will open up Shady ,Clay Murphy etc underneath. You could even see the offense perk up a bit as a unit ,had more energy . At that point Dabol went more vanilla cause the game was over.. I'd be shocked if # 17 is not starting. I think he can be the spark we need if he starts slinging TDs
  14. Yup. I could have sworn I saw Shaq inside a few plays already. Shaq overall looked solid. Nate takes his place in the DE rotation. Shaq replaces Adolphus in DT rotation. Upgrade on both He jumped offsides on a PUNTING ATTEMPT, resulting in a first down!!?
  15. That was my initial reaction. I don't know how he could possibly trot Peterman out...
  16. It's all about how our draft picks pan out. Tre White is a stud, #1 Cb. Dawkins will show us a lot this year. Potential franchise LT . Zay Jones needs a huge turnaround to live up to that pick. Edmunds , potential franchise mlb. Milano , potential partner in crime. Taron Johnson , Teller, Ray Ray ,Neal - can these guys be starters, serviceable backups? Then the big one - Allen, who has a nice young potential core to grow with if he pans out. We really need an Elite player on that DL.
  17. We'll learn a TON about this team, both players and coaches next week. Just a disastrous performance but an excellent opportunity to learn from the horrid execution. The only positive that comes to mind is Edmunds. He had a couple hiccups but for a barely 20 yr old mlb, he showed that elite potential , he's a real asset in the pass game and just lightning quick to the ball in space. He needs work on play action and dissecting plays quicker but he has progressed lovely. Got our QB of the D for a Long time. Build both Lines Beane ,and we'll be in bussiness.
  18. Actually missing Tyrod Stage is too big for Peterman. I'm sure he looks great in practice. Under those lights though, he's not even serviceable. You have to pull him. This QB gaffe by McBeane could cost jobs.
  19. With Tyrod this is a close game I bet...
  20. How can McDermott not pull him?
  21. Peterman clearly has the jitters. He's not executing like he does in practice. Stage just seems to big. Not pulling the trigger
