Didn't listen yet but I started laughing when you mentioned judo I respect it though but I just think he's too fragile and will likely have a history of concussions

Would you guys trade one of Elam/Benford/Jackson?
JerseyBills replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I probably overvalued Jackson in the OP. Didn't even realize he was a RFA. But imo he deserves more respect than a backup vet CB. He filled in for Tre for basically a whole season and did a helluva job . He was our preferred CB2 over a 1st rd pick in Elam when Tre did return. Just saying, I think he has a bit more value. He was CB1 opposite the rookies this year before Tre returned. So I still go back to a team like Philly with a similar scheme , they could replace their CB2 Bradberry (who is doubtful to return because the $ he'll get) instantly with Dane. I do think he has a market I guess imo, it comes down to this Benford to S deal. If it's a lock that he's converting, I'd keep Dane. If he stays at CB I'd let Dane walk. Benford (and Jackson) were great late rd picks. In the limited time Benford was available I thought he was phenomenal and just as good as 1st rder Elam. Hope he does transition to S and gets a nice amount of playing time -
Diggs interview with Dan Patrick on 2/10..
JerseyBills replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Absolutely. Again, I believe the UCLA injury was a huge part but I remember watching a 20 min clip of our best plays and Diggs was an absolute monster prior to the injury Including that game , through 8 games, he had 7 tds and 4 100 yard gms The final 8 games, not counting Cincy which would've been 9, he had 4 TDs and 1 100 yard game.. Clearly something changed. -

Here is an article from Andrew Witworth about the injury. Looking back I think he's just a tough s.o.b and the injury definitely impacted his play and possibly play calling , Carson Palmer. Same injury," Whitworth said when asked about Allen's injury, via the Cincinnati Enquirer. "Tried to come back and play. And then -- tried it out, didn't work, felt like he was too uncomfortable and then sat out the rest of the season." -

I still value McD and feel he's a great coach. He literally turned us from a 17 year drought , to being a consistent division winner and in the playoffs every year, while gutting basically the whole roster. McD deserves his credit but he just needs to shift his mindset when it comes to the offense. Looking back, I think it's a high possibility our O struggles came from Allens injury. Is it a coincidence that was the 9th week of the year? And Diggs says after week 9. So , I think it was alot of factors and possibly they changed the O after the injury. 👆 Check this comment Nobody was saying this before Allens injury when we were slaying teams, rarely punting and looked unstoppable Alot of factors at play here- 79 replies

Diggs interview with Dan Patrick on 2/10..

I mean I'm just guessing here. I just like his passion and winning mentality. Rather have our #1 offensive weapon outside of QB be aware of our offensive struggles and care with all his heart about the issues. Rather than our #1 guy just being a Yes man and toting the company line.. He's not just in it for the $. Diggs wants to win. How can you not love that- 79 replies

Interesting interview . Still love this dude and his passion When Jefferson was brought up about winning opoy, Diggs went out of his way to mention he has an offensive HC. Shot at McD? Maybe Also brings up what we've been talking about how we looked different in the 1st 9 weeks - edit -, that was the Jets game where Josh injured his UCL. Coincidence? Maybe Great listen. We're in good hands with leaders like this and 17 slinging the rock. Touches on Damar situation and how he felt in that moment. Blood coming from his mouth. Apparently passing away twice on the field Love this dude- I'd suggest everybody to give this a listen when you have 15 minutes

Bills sign S Zayne Anderson to a 2 year deal
JerseyBills replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's very important. I'd rather have Hodgins for example over a ST ace but especially with a kicker like Bass that can get you great hang time inside the 5, we routinely stopped teams inside the 20 the last cpl years. -

How reliable are these ppl. The only way to know any of that is to have a source on the staff -

Really? I just searched and didn't find anything. When did they say this? What did they say exactly. That'd be great. Kid was a steal -

I've heard ppl on here saying Benford to S , is there a source or pure speculation? -
Hopefully he's not impacted by the toxic chemicals in the train crash in Ohio Always stood out to me as a great poster

It has crossed my mind as a way to aquire picks or a player trade because they're 3 starting caliber CBs with 1 slot available. Tre and Taron are locked in at the other 2 slots , and it feels like having all 3 is a luxury vs a need. Elam might be off the table because I doubt we'd get a 1 for him but Jackson or Benford would be great for a zone scheme team and either net us a 3 or 4 or a player at position of need like a OG. Just feel like having 3 starting caliber CBS for 1 position is unnecessary unless one can transition to S. All 3 filled in admirably for Tre and are legit #2 guys. I'd be looking at Philly who'll likely lose Bradberry and give them an immediate starter opposite Slay, if they have an OL the Bills like that could do the same for us. What you guys think?

Both would be great but I been saying Edmunds should be priority #1 as far as our own FAs
-
Idk. They're too similar. We need a bruiser, I'd love Jamal Williams from Det for 5 mil a year range. Would also love a few packages with Hines/Cook together in the backfield but I'd almost guarantee we bring in a RB1 or 2 to complement Cook. Our last 27th pick didn't turn out too bad. All pro Tre. Whoever they draft, I just hope they have an immediate impact. Hopefully OL but if there's a stud RB or WR , pull the trigger

Of course. I'm in NYC area. Davis is a guy the radio guys - Tiki barber, Bart Scott, Craig Carton etc have talked about the Gmen acquiring to get Jones some weapons. They must've thought he was a FA this year but they all spoke very highly of Davis. Let's face it, Hodgins just couldn't Crack our roster and it took multiple injuries and Toney trade for Dabol and Co to aquire him. It's not like he was plucked off the p.s immediately. 31 other teams passed on him for weeks but it's a great story and wish him well. If Davis, hypothetically, was on the p.s, he'd be signed by someone that day. He's clearly superior to Hodgins and is a great WR to have as a big role player. His awareness is great, he generally excels at "toe drag swag" and controlling his feet, his big play ability is great, he just has too many drops unfortunately. Just doesn't cut it as an every down WR but great chess piece as a role player.

I wish we had Jeudy alongside Diggs

Josh Allen massive favorite in odds to win 2023 NFL MVP
JerseyBills replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
He is the best QB in the game. He'd dominate under a great play caller -
THIS Gabe , Mckenzie are still here and are really good role players. Need that legit #2 though. Shakir might be special in the slot - he looked like a seasoned vet at times, he's twitchy , has great awareness and hands. Upgrade both G positions via draft. I doubt they give up on Brown after 2 years. Should make an incredible impact
-
And apparently they've been working on this field for 2 years. The process cost 900k. There's a video out there I'll post when I can but it's almost comical they put in all that effort and epically failed. Almost as much of a joke as the zebras been for years
-
Absolutely. There's a reason we're still the number 2 team to win the sb next year. The gap is extremely small between us. Beane just needs to make a few tweaks and we'll be in the hunt for many years
