  1. Yes, he is.
  2. If Barkley makes the team at all, it will be as a practice squad player who won’t dress and be available on Sundays.
  3. Great Bill and future Wall of Fame designee. Best of luck, Jerry.
  4. Hack article. It’s as if they think that the books on Epenesa, Rousseau, and Basham have been written. Sorry, but you can’t judge these guys definitively before their third seasons. For crissakes, they are late first and second round picks. Was anyone expecting immediate Myles Garrett-like level of play out of them?
  5. There were moments when the Rangers looked just as wiped out. All game, the Crosby line tilted the ice in the Pens’ favor and the Panarin line tilted it for NY. I think the other two lines essentially canceled themselves out although the Rangers’ kid line was a bit more effective. If shots mean anything, and they often don’t, the ‘Guins had both more attempted (by a wide margin) and on goal (by 15). Also, the Rangers had 30 more giveaways in the game, 75 to 45. That doesn’t suggest they were a less tired team. All that said, I agree; the Penguins were fortunate to come out with a win.
  6. I was commenting that Malkin looked spent in the first period. By the 3rd OT, he looked like a geriatric out there. Is he still battling an injury?
  7. “42’s the mike! No wait, 8 is the mike! No wait, 13 is the mike! Screw it! They’re all the mike!”
  8. That’s because Taylor is a far better coach than Appert. Krueger saw him as a threat and had him jettisoned. That said, the Amerks have battled a ton of adversity this season, especially with injuries, illness, and call ups. But they are finally back to being healthy and look to be rounding into form just in time if that 8-1 drubbing they handed Utica last night is indicative of anything.
  9. Looks like the Amerks are gonna sneak into the playoffs after all. Marlies down 3 with a couple minute left. We get to see Samuellsen and Krebs join the boys in Rochester for the playoffs. Nice.
  10. Oh FFS, what contender isn’t an injury away from key players and having to play lesser ones? Your Mr. Yuck schtick is old. We all know you’ll find a way to crap on anything this team does or doesn’t do. There isn’t a can of RAID big enough for the bug up your ass.
  11. Good for him. But why the F should I have to cheer for the Bears because Kyle Brant is a Bears fan? Makes ZERO sense. Regardless, it was a fun bit. Like all his other fun Bills related bits the last couple of years. Well, fun for anyone with even the a little sense of humor. I think that stick in the mud might be misplaced.
  12. WTF does that even mean?
  13. I think Spags is more of a gravy guy.
  14. Can someone find Spags’s take after last year’s first round? I seem to recall similar bluster out of New Jersey as well. Each year all the pundits tout how the Jest have killed it in the draft only to see it fizzle once the reality of the NFL season sets in. Hey Jimmy, let me know when the Jest actually accomplish something on the field instead of on paper.
  15. Enough about Dallas already. You act as if Dallas was the only concern because they were IN FRONT of the Bills and that there weren’t teams BEHIND the Bills on the phone with the Ravens inquiring about pick 23. I’d bet any amount of money that there were and that Beane had been in touch with the Ravens and other teams picking in the low twenties for days leading up to the draft. I’d also bet money that KC moving up to get a CB had the Ravens’ phone ringing off the hook immediately afterward tonight.
  16. Good take. Some people here are only focused on Dallas as the team we jumped in front of, but that’s myopic at best. These GMs aren’t shy about telling each other who’s calling who with what offers. Beane may or may not have been concerned with Dallas, but there were other teams on the phone with the Ravens inquiring about pick 23 I guarantee it. And I think your hunch about the Titans is spot on.
  17. Love what he told said to Beane at their visit lunch and I love this as well. It suggests he reeks of football character.
  18. And it’s not like he amassed those numbers playing in a weak conference against second tier competition either. He faced the best receivers the SEC had to offer. And he’s only 20. Stratospheric ceiling.
  19. As people, perhaps I can see the comparison. As professional athletes in their respective sports, I don’t see it at all. They are night and day in terms of both talent and performance as pros.
  20. Can’t see the Menziel comparison because Eichel is a genuinely talented player at the NHL level whereas Johnny Football should have quit after college.
  21. Eichel quit on this team and its fans well before he hurt his neck and then spent six months throwing the team under the bus over his surgery, continued to lie about it on a Chris Weidman podcast after resuming playing, and then saw fit to insult the fans after his return to Buffalo with Vegas. He deserves every last ounce of derision coming his way from this fan base and he has only himself to blame for that because he’s a classless individual. Once a masshole, always a masshole. F U Eichhole.
