Stuff can go wrong on every play in every game. Should we not have called the TD pass to Motor on fourth and goal because “too much can go wrong?” Look at the Bills OL personnel on the field at the time. Look at the first two attempts to run it in. Now, put your math hat on and ask yourself why Dorsey may not have felt the odds were with him on another attempt to run it in. If Josh doesn’t lose his footing and crumble as he throws the ball, it would have been another short, routine TD pass for him. But hey, you have the benefit of hindsight, so good for you.

My hyperbole notwithstanding, that’s an easy throw from Josh as we’ve seen countless times. How many times has Josh lost his footing making a throw? Watch the play again and tell me Josh’s lower body mechanics weren’t FUBAR. That’s WHY it was a bad pass. And that WAS a fluke. The bigger question is, WTF and am I even responding to your crap on a game day after a loss? I should know better.

The 20/20 hindsight armchair quarterbacking never gets old around here. Miami’s D line abused our interior OL all day. Now, I think having a 3rd string center and OG much of the time played into that and it’s not much of a stretch to assume Dorsey and Co. were seeing the same thing. Perfectly understandable that they’d opt to pass in that situation and 9 times out of 10, Josh doesn’t lose his footing and miss an open McKenzie.

NFL Week #3 - Bills at the Dolphins - Post game thread

Offense ran 90 plays. 90. Yeah, I’d say Josh was fatigued. Which is why I’m taking the Bengals on Thursday night. Dolphins D was also out there for 90 plays in that heat. And on a three day week, I just don’t think that’s enough time to recover adequately. -

Miami didn’t do much go win the game while we did just about everything we could to lose it. Reminds me of the occasional early season losses to Miami back in the glory days. People overreacted to those losses as well. Miami should be concerned that their all world QB and receivers couldn’t do more than a couple plays against a decimated defense. -
Love it when some feel the need to spout off about the rules when they have no grasp of the rules they’re spouting off about.

You should have stopped before posting this because now you’re just embarrassing yourself.

Always sucks to see a player get hurt like that, but earlier in the week some Pats*** fan mocked Micah Hyde’s injury and I said if karma is a thing, then Mac Jones oughta be weary. Looks like karma was a thing this week.

Early contender for most absurd post of the year.

The 70s can never be erased. Never.

I’d prefer to defer, regardless. Especially on the road.

By what measure is the Miami defense pretty good?
-
Oh, absolutely. It was a coaching failure from McD to Frazier and right on down the line to the position coaches and players as well. Somebody has to know the game situation, speak up, and make sure everyone is on the same page. We were confused and that made it way too easy for an offense like KC’s and the players they had.

The bless to have Josh by our side in Bills uniform

The kickoff was just the initial blunder. Our coaches played the last 13 seconds like they didn’t understand that KC had timeouts remaining.
-
Yeah, that’s as classless as it gets. If karma is a real thing, Mac Jones should be weary.

Blue Jerseys, White Pants for Miami. AKA, Tua's spanking uniform.

There’s no looking ahead with this staff. None at all. If Groot can dedicate himself to the game like Bruce did, there’s no reason he can’t get there. But that’s saying a lot. Bruce could break down opposing players better than anyone I’ve ever seen. From how much pressure an O lineman was putting on his hand in his stance, to how much weight he was putting on his heels as opposed to his toes, to detecting the slightest differences in how opponents lined up to run or pass block, Bruce was a film savant.

Wind confusion indeed!

You’re curious about what Josh does against a blitz heavy attack? Go back to the beginning of the 2020 season, watch every game and then do the same for last season. You will learn two things: Josh absolutely destroys blitz heavy schemes and why teams seldom do it anymore.

I appreciate the insight.

Well, when you wrote that Burroughs went thru the same thing, I took it mean the “same” thing. How silly of me to take what you yourself wrote literally and wonder if it had been reported somewhere. Hyde seeking another opinion opens several possibilities. I would hope that after he sustained his first serious neck injury in 2016 while with Green Bay, that the doctors would have discovered any congenital issues with his cervical spine. Him simply seeking a second opinion from those that treated him previously is as much a possibility as anything else.
-
Derrick Burroughs has cervical stenosis, a condition he was born with. Where has it been reported that Micah Hyde has the same thing?

For all this talk about injuries, why so little mention of Miami’s? They haven’t come close to stopping Allen with a healthy Howard and Jones the last two years. And their OL is less than 100% going up against one of the best fronts in the league at the moment. Key injuries often have a way of galvanizing a team and I can see the vets on this defense rallying around the next men up and proving a point. As for Tua and Co., I’ve never seen an offense gain so much hype for one good quarter of football where the QB joined the illustrious Matt Flynn in the record books.

Hot take: Secondary will be fine this week vs the fish.

There is nothing about the weather in Miami that this team hasn’t already experienced. This will be the third year in a row that we have played a September game in Miami.
