  1. True, he’s been known to shill from time to time. Was it Gabbert he shared the same agent with?
  2. Posted in the Mayock/WGR thread, but it bears reposting here: I like Mayock for what he brings in his role as a media analyst, but that’s as far as it goes. He is not a scout and doesn’t possess a fraction of the insight on all these players as scouts and other personnel evaluators do. It’s just not his full time gig. I take everything he says with a grain of salt. From Sanchez over Stafford to Gabbert over Newton and the many players at positions in between over the years, his “evaluations” leave a lot to be desired.
  3. Yeah, that’s a big reason to hate Rudolph. I question the entire validity of the article. Too many “he’s good, but...” takes, none of which sound like actual scouting lingo. And teams just don’t share info on prospects at this time of year when boards are in the earliest phases of construction.
  4. Chris Cooley, former TE of the Deadskins, once deposited his $6m plus bonus check at his local bank drive through teller window. Always thought that was funny especially in the age of direct deposit.

  6. Lot to like about Rudolph there, too.
  7. I thought the GM committed to them by saying they’ll find a place for them and I took that to mean as coaches. Could make them highly paid ticket ushers I guess.
  8. True. Doesn’t matter who they bring to camp, there are only so many reps to go around.
  9. Can I cry for the prospective head coach who had his nuts cut off when it comes to hiring his own staff?
  10. No, because they will need to sign a vet and splitting reps four ways is no way to develop two first year and one second year QB.
  11. Very interesting quote regarding Belichick's admission Jimmy G wasn't gonna be available. There is no fricken way there wasn't a ton of friction in the front office when they did trade him. Talk about ownership meddling! The Pats*** will live to regret that decision. It's not like they have a Steve Young ready to take the reins when Brady moves on. They're gonna start reaching to find one, too. Good luck with that.
  12. But they are .500 in Super Bowls; 5-5.
  13. Not me. I don’t care how good he is, there is no place for the consummate AHole he is on my team.
  14. I hope they did this fake walk through in a style from the Ministry of Silly Walks:
  15. That was impressive. Easy to see why Belichick is pissed about losing him.
  16. Completion percentage equals passes caught. Accuracy equals ball placement. Glad TT has a decent stat in the former, but he could be a helluva better in the latter.
  17. All of this transpired after McDaniels committed to Indy, hired coaches, and then reneged? Seems sudden. After all, it was pretty much known since the regular season ended that McDaniels was going to be hired by the Colts.
  18. If I had to guess, I’d say the one that helps the lock home field advantage and then the one that helps them keep it.
  19. Didn’t read the article. But thanks for answering my question.
  20. Why is it interesting that “even Kraft did not know?” I doubt any owner, with the exception of Jones, would be involved on such a granular level. Especially in the case of last minute scratches. My guess is something happened between warmups and introductions and Bellyache brought the hammer down.
  21. Talking about what’s happening with other NFL teams in an NFL FOOTBALL FORUM is not obsessive in the least. What is obsessive is the compulsion to have to defend EVERY criticism of your favorite team. Your insecurity about one of the most successful teams in history is childish.
  22. His only hope for bar work is being a bouncer as tending bar requires AT LEAST a modicum of intelligence to work with.
  23. Pretty sure he’s going to DisneyWorld.
  24. Butler is the one who screwed over his team. Unless, of course, you think he did nothing wrong at all and that benching him minutes before kickoff was a simple coach’s decision. That’s not impossible, but it’s hard for me to believe.
