  1. 2k more and he’s in the HOF. Hard to do at his age but I wouldn’t put it past him.
  2. That’s funny, I thought it was your high colonic delivery mechanism.
  3. Not as much as his boneheaded plays have ruined him. Easy to see why nobody in Moanrayall was sorry to see him go.
  4. Ike was worried about Russian influence in the region to be sure, but Russia certainly didn’t need the oil. And while the CIA gets credit for the overthrow, it was really an MI6 led plan but the British needed cover given their interests in Iran. And that interest can be spelled in one word, oil. When Mossadegh had the temerity to nationalize that industry in Iran, BP and the Brits couldn’t let it stand, he was ousted, the Shah installed, and Khomeini and other clerics considered to be radical, were banished. The chain of events since BP first discovered oil in Persia in the early 1900s is fascninating. If there is one commonality worldwide since, it’s that any country leader that attempts to nationalize that industry will be dealt with harshly. History bears that out. Big oil has been in bed with some of the most ruthless regimes and dictators throughout and as long as those leaders played ball, things were cool. Rock that boat and bad things happened.
  5. So it’s predicated on outcomes yet to be determined.
  6. How do you know the Chiefs will win the common opponent tie breaker at this point when no common opponent factors have been weighed yet? I appreciate you larger point, though.
  7. Just to be clear though, suite and local revenues like sponsorships are not shared revenue. Jerry still keeps all of that.
  8. Root for the Chargers. Our hold on a WC spot currently is due to no common opponents being factored yet. We hold the first tie breaker vs. KC and not against the Chargers. We need the Chargers to win their division as a result.
  9. You were the one that brought up real life in a previous post so I explained how being frustrated is no excuse in real life, either. Not for nothing, but several of your posts have been nothing but excuses and rationalizations for Gronks thuggish behavior.
  10. What makes me think that? Really? Does the term “unbridled optimism as a result of totally irrational homerism” mean anything to you? C’mon, man! But if we are flat, it will be pancake flat; not crepe flat like Smokin’ Jay and the rest of the Phins.
  11. Perfect. The Pats*** will lose to the Steelers, who by virtue of winning the head to head tie breaker, will essentially be up three games with two to play thus rendering our game in NE*** meaningless for Bellyache and Co so they will rest Brady after a quarter, keep other guys out to heal, and we will emerge victorious. Miami will be flatter than a crepe next Sunday. Book it.
  12. Yeah. He's finding out not every OT plays like Mills. On that run just now to get inside the five, he got turned in easily and gave up the corner.
  13. Keep rationalizing to your heart's content. You and ONLY YOU are responsible for your actions and reactions. Just as Gronk is. This "the refs made me so mad I couldn't control myself" excuse is pitiful. The refs had nothing to do with his decision to cheap shot a defenseless player and just because he was "frustrated" is no excuse. The real world? Try doing what Gronk did in the "real world" and explain to the judge you were just "frustrated" with whatever external stimuli and you just couldn't control yourself. See how far that gets you.
  14. We can rationalize anything; it's a strong defense mechanism. Bottom line is, what the refs call or don't call during the course of a game, has ABSOLUTELY NO BEARING on whether a player is able to control himself or not; that is ENTIRELY on the player. Gronk was 100% responsible for his action. Period.
  15. The rest of your post is moot because it hinges on what is left to be determined.
  16. AFC opponent when the better conference record is more than likely to be the first tie breaker. Again, this was the antithesis to a meaningless game on any level, let alone mostly.
  17. That’s not the point though, is it? The fact is this was anything BUT a meaningless win given the current AFC standings. Feel free to come back and gloat if we don’t make the playoffs, but on this date and time, it’s not meaningless in the least, let alone mostly.
  18. I agree that we can't say "never" accurate. TT certainly has his moments. But there's a difference between completion percentage (balls caught) vs. accuracy (ball placement). Most QBs don't have a great mastery of the latter, Tyrod included. It's what separates the good from great passers.
  19. What happened to his deep ball? The receivers on the other end aren't there any more .
  20. And that desperation always leads to QBs being over-drafted. I get that and I understand why teams need to reach for the most important position in sports. But that doesn't sway my thinking. I'm hearing it's Rosen and then everybody else at this point, with Rosen the only one with a preliminary grade typically assigned to a legit top 10 pick. Looking forward to the post Senior Bowl reports, when the preliminary compilations first start to crystallize before the combine.
