  1. Kay Stephenson says, “Hold my beer.”
  2. Rooting for Levi Wallace big time. Seems like a great kid, easy to root for. He’s gonna get picked on and I’m sure he knows it and welcomes the challenge. Walk-ons that get awarded full scholarships at Alabama are rare and I like his chances.
  3. Gronk douche. Lost all the respect I had for him after that gutless act against Tre White.
  4. Once the OP clarified that his post was tongue in cheek, I understood. My response was also tongue in cheek. But I’ll be serious for a moment: Peterman has not taken advantage of his opportunity and has shown himself to be lacking, to say the last. The coaching staff apparently sees that, too. Finally. As I said, unless Peterman is the greatest practice QB in history, it’s beyond concerning it took the staff this long. Unless Barkley gets hurt and barring further injuries the remainder of the season, we’ve seen the last of Peterman and today will be his last day in a Bills uni.
  5. Right, which is why I’m referring to that “few” who never see the light of day except in mop up duty and sparing themselves and their coaches the full exposure to their total lack of ability as a QB. One would think that seeing their work in practice on a day to day basis would be enough to clue them in, but apparently not in some cases.
  6. Hear, hear. Cannot agree more. I hope the rumors of return of the royal blue to commemorate their 50th anniversary are true.
  7. I appreciate the clarification. If only Peterman could have remained an anonymous backup never pressed into service, forever. There have been QBs who’ve made careers as backups never seeing the field except in mop up duty. I dont fault McD too much for trying to get a spark out of the team when he started Peterman in SD. It didn’t work out and McD ended the experiment after that disastrous half of football. But unless Peterman is the epitome of the Jekyll and Hyde persona, where he is lights out as a practice player and gives the coaches hope he can translate that to games, then McD and Co. deserve to be called out for their total inability to see his talent for what it truly is. And that is VERY concerning moving forward.
  8. While I’m waiting for Reinhart and Housley to convince me before I hop on their bandwagons and I’m convinced Scandella is best in a 7th Dman role, I am happy to tip my hat to a player I’ve been equally critical of at times: Kyle Okposo. Even realizing the impact of his concussion and scary stay in the ICU and knowing he couldn’t train normally all of last offseason, I was convinced whatever he had left in his wheels was gone forever. Happy to say I was wrong as he seems to have found that lost step and is kicking into a higher gear with regularity lately. As a result I am retiring the derogatory nickname, “Slowposo”, as he continues to prove how wrong I was to hang it on him.
  9. Giants’ Barkley will have more yards than Bills’ Barkley. It’ll be a boring battle of the Barkleys.
  10. That’s a fair point to be sure. Beane has admitted they mismanaged the QB situation. And that’s putting it politely. But regarding this thread topic, it’s on Peterman, and all players for that matter, to take advantage of opportunities when they’re given. Or not. I have a hard time believing that grown men playing a kid’s game for a living are these fragile little things that need coddling and just fall to pieces if they fail. If Peterman is scarred for life and beyond repair as a QB because he has screwed the pooch in such spectacular fashion, that’s because he doesn’t have the psychological makeup required to overcome that setback.
  11. If a player can’t overcome adversity, he won’t succeed. Especially QBs. That’s on Peterman. I might even argue the contrary, that by giving him an opportunity in the first place, McD set Peterman up for success. But Peterman’s carpe diem game is weak.
  12. SR has had a couple good games in a row. It’s a start. He’s done that in the past before disappearing for long stretches. If he finds consistency in his game’, he can be a legit top six forward in this league. Plenz and I have never suggested otherwise. But I’ll believe he’s arrived when I see he’s arrived. He’s fooled me before. Regarding Hutton, his stellar play kept the game close while our D was getting its ass handed to it so I’ll forgive him for a couple bad goals allowed. Speaking of our D, we have issues on the back end. And unless Girgensons is injured, Housley cannot sit him. That fourth line has been very good for us this year, our best fourth line in I don’t know how long and it makes a difference, especially late in games. Question for the board: did they ever say what happened to Eichel? He didn’t look right.
  13. And UB wins it going away in OT. Signature win at West Virginia, their first opening loss in 29 years. And on their home floor to boot. I can see why the pundits made the Bulls the #1 mid major in the preseason polls.
  14. Massinburg hit's a three with under 20 seconds left, UB defends, and forces OT. Great showing vs. the #13 team in the country, on the road in their barn.
  15. Good have been anyone. I just used Anderson since he’s the o e we ended up with and he was out there all along. My post certainly wasn’t any type of endorsement of Derek Anderson. Not by a long shot.
  16. How is that manifesting? Snap count and stat wise, he’s still producing at his career averages.
  17. While I believe Peterman deserves compassion, I don’t think he requires our pity, either. He deserves criticism for his onfield failures, but he does not deserve to be publicly humiliated in the fashion he was by the loser Ahole that started the gofundme movement. I believe the pity move adds to that more than it mitigates it.
  18. Have Bucky and Sully addressed this attack against freedom of the press?
  19. Very little decay in his game, if any. If he wants to do it, I can see the staff welcoming him back. Just depends where he is mentally.
  20. Good point. He probably would have used Cook as a DT, so it’s hard to say. Receiver, probably. Given what he did with the Juice.
  21. I stated the same several times over in various threads for some time now.
  22. Asked and answered. Twice. We are at the point of talking past each other. I'll leave it all at that.
