He had a bad half of a game. Coaches made the right halftime adjustments and Edmunds was much better as a result. First half looked like the defense hadn’t played In a couple weeks; very rusty and tentative. And I’ll give Jax’s Oline credit for that as they owned the LOS in the first half. But it isn’t always how you start but how you finish

Everything wrong with the Bills run D was corrected at halftime. Great adjustments by our coaching staff.

Still can’t talk after ruining my throat at Wednesday’s and Friday’s games. Just got back from taking my kids back home to DC. After streaming last night’s game, I think the best thing about this nine game streak is that they’re doing it without playing great hockey for much of it. There is a TON of room for improvement and that’s just gonna happen naturally. But those intangibles that matter so much; things like resiliency and playing well under pressure when it matters most are things that just can’t be coached. This team has those components in spades. When they actually figure out what they’re doing, look out league.

Kyle William's...my gut tells me he comes back.

I couldn’t agree more that stats don’t tell the story, especially for DTs. That’s why I asked the question: how is a fall off in play manifesting itself in KW’s game? Is he weaker at the POA? Is he losing the leverage battles more frequently? I just don’t detect much of a fall off, if any at all. -
My hoarse throat will attest to that; can barely speak after all the cheering. As loud as I’ve heard KBC in a while. This fan base is so wants to embrace this team again. And I think the players really sense that. And while I have a few gripes about Housley, his consistent message to the team about the importance of earning the affection of this city, is something I give him a ton of credit for.

Bills already behind in the NFL’s newest trend....

The only rookie QB I can see playing somewhat well is Mayfield. And it ain’t like the Browns are tearing it up. -
He is being totally tongue in cheek about winning too many NFC games so that’s kind of amusing. But I think he’s being totally serious about Luck. Your point is a good one though as it’s a complete waste of time to debate the issue any further. I agree to disagree and will simply leave it at that.

Given the Keys to Draft How Would U Drive The Car ?

With the top down, music blasting, hair blowing in the wind. That’s how you drive the draft car! -
Ed Oliver won't be a Buffalo Bill

If you look closely at the video, you’ll see a player shivering uncontrollably at the end of the bench. All for the want of a warm team parka. -
His billing was as the top QB prospect since Elway. See how that’s not the same as the top prospect of all time? Those QBs on your list; can you provide breakdowns of their first three years and what they were able to accomplish in that timeframe? He was hurt halfway into his fourth season and missed a year and a half in rehab and is still not 100%. Is that not a consideration? I don’t know if you’re crazy or not, but you seem to lack an understanding into why scouts made those evaluations of him as a prospect coming out. EVERY criteria listed as a predictor of his potential for success, from decision making, to accuracy, to arm strength and everything in between has been shown to be warranted. That’s why he’s lived up to the hype. Now, if you need to conflate the careers of HOFers, SB winners, future HOFers, playing in different systems, under different coaches, and with far superior supporting casts, feel free to continue to do so. Perhaps another hockey player or bull riding rodeo star instead? By all means. Wiser people would wait until all the data on Luck’s career is in.
-
What kool-aid is that, exactly? Is that a reference to the imaginary Luck worship cult you conjured to support your point of view? It was fun when you made absurd comparisons to hockey players to support your point. Unfortunately, you just can’t agree to disagree and let it go at that. Suffice to say there are several independent evaluation factors to support the idea that Luck, when healthy, has lived up to his billing.

As a PROSPECT coming out, yes, he’s lived up to the hype as the best PROSPECT since Elway, imo. I won’t repeat why since you aren’t interested in considering that. That is not the same as saying he’s accomplished more as a pro than all of those on your list. Like your Gretzky comparison, I find it lacking.
-
Strained logic aside, yes, he was better than all of them as a prospect coming out and his first three years, when he led an under-talented team to wild card, divisional, and conference championship playoff runs, respectively, bears that out. Like I said, it’s a subjective undertaking. You have your opinion, I have mine and I’ll just leave it that.

Kessel has a tendency to make the Sabres his b.itch. If that doesn’t happen tonight, I like our chances. ERod again out of the lineup. Housley continues to puzzle. Is it just a simple question of them being hell bent on developing Thompson at the NHL level, regardless of what’s best for the team? Sure looks like it. The analytics clearly show ERod generates offense on a team starved for secondary scoring from its forwards. Thompson? Not so much to this point. Maybe he gets untracked tonight. Thanks for demoting Scandella to third pair. The less minutes for him, the better. Thanks also for getting that fourth line back together. Our best checking line in years, hard to play against, and that shows later in games, especially. A chance to capture all eight points since before beating Tampa when four out of the eight would have been fine with me. Now I’m greedy. Hope the Sabres are, too. It would be nice to see a fast start for a change. The ‘Guins will be up for it, I’m sure. Need to match their intensity, step on their throat early and often and have them thinking maybe they really DO suck as much as their record shows.

Of course Gretzky helped those players. Has Luck ever had a comparable supporting cast to help? Not even close. I do agree Luck was the best QB prospect coming out since Elway at the time. In terms of personal accomplishment as an individual player, yes, I think he’s lived up to the hype for the most part, considering his lack of supporting cast and the playoff runs they made, regardless, in his first few years. Given the nature of the QB position, lack of team accomplishment will certainly impact his legacy. Fair or not. It’s a subjective analysis to be sure, though, and I can understand how some are less than impressed.
