  1. Haha. There’s a fine line between “big” jokes ”fat” jokes.
  2. Keenum blows chunks. Elway has serious buyer’s remorse I bet.
  3. Yeah, Hutton made a bad play but he also saved our bacon too many times to count tonight. Tennyson? Not so much. He sucks and needs to go. And I’ve already given credit to the team for the battle they gave the Caps. In spite of gift wrapping them three goals, we had several chances to put the game away. Reinhart will see that gaping net in his sleep. Sucks about Pilut. I guess Hunwick makes his Sabres debut tomorrow?
  4. And yet in that 9:06 on the ice, Tennyson managed to cough up the puck twice on direct giveaways that immediately led to two goals against.
  5. This game is on Tennyson. Period. He must get off this team ASAP. He is not NHL caliber and he’s shown that on nearly EVERY shift he’s played this year. That said, we had our chances against a good, DEEP Caps team tonight. Something to build on. Tomorrow will be a grind against a Bruins team chasing us in the standings. I like our chances.
  6. If Pilut is not injured or ill, then Housley is an abject idiot. That is all.
  7. Absolutely the best team in the league that year. Dominant on both sides of the ball. And they were thisclose to going 16-0 that season.
  8. I like Teller’s trajectory. He’s a work in progress but shows a ton of promise. Regarding Dawkins, I’m not sure I understand the criticism. The biggest reason the coaches felt comfortable dealing Glenn was because of the high level of play Dawkins gave last year. He’s a very good LT. And the biggest reason for his struggles this year was the loss of RI and EW. As it was for the entire OL.
  9. Uh, yes he is. But I won’t belabor the point, so no need to argue it. I agree to disagree.
  10. I appreciate your point, but I doubt they can be much worse then Shady in the blitz pickup department. He’s terrible.
  11. Me, too. I’d have liked to see his Browns teams go to a SB or two. But they had some of the worst playoff luck imaginable. Cleveland will never forget “The Drive” and “The Fumble.” Those demons wont be fully exorcized until they win it all. I think they’ve finally got the QB to get there, too. Your gramps saw some of the greatest of all time, too. Marion Motley and Otto Graham are fun to watch in those old clips.
  12. Why? Everyone knows that defense is passe and not a major requirement success in today's NFL. I've read that right here in these very pages.
  13. Workmanlike. Nice. Coyotes are much better than their record indicates. They play teams the full 60. Well earned win for the good guys tonight.
  14. Yeah, I agree that biting on play fakes is one of his issues, but I think he’s improved in that area, at least incrementally, over the course of the season. I still think his biggest issue is hesitancy though. He’s been sipping from a fire hose since OTAs.
  15. I agree with anyone who said ‘Little Drummer Boy.’ No other song captures the true essence of the Christmas spirit like that one.
  16. Very impressive stat for Mayfield. Perhaps the most telling of his early career success. I would be interested in what percentage of his successful plays vs. the blitz went to Landry or Njoku, two of the best in reading their hot routes.
  17. I’ve suspected that Edmunds’s biggest issue is hesitancy born out of thinking too much. After reading Frazier’s comments above, I’m convinced of it.
  18. Listening to WGR and they are describing a very tough team to beat tonight. And IIRC correctly, even though we shut them out in their barn earleir in the season, the ‘Yotes and their speed gave us fits all game and if Ullmark hadn’t stood on his head, we would have lost. Any team that can go into Nashville and whip the Preds is not to be taken lightly. Gotta be ready to answer the bell FROM THE OPENING FACEOFF.
  19. Yeah, I’m a big fan of hyperbole as a literary tool. But using “truthful” as a modifier is a total crock and I think you already know that. But just so everyone is clear, you really have seen Allen stand in the pocket and deliver, right? The trajectory is pointing in the right direction as his improved development has been visible since his return from injury. I think much of that has to do with Daboll and the infusion of speed into the lineup. But it is clear that he doesn’t trust his OLine.
  20. Per the bold text, if you haven’t seen Allen do that then you simply haven’t watched or haven’t been paying attention. This makes me question the validity of your posts. It’s as if you’re simply making something up to support a narrative.
  21. PRESENT!
  22. I’m as frustrated with Eichel at times as much as anyone else, but I’ve learned to just accept his bad with his good. For all his turnovers entering the offensive zone, he’s also been among league leaders in offensive zone entries since his rookie year. He’s also ranked near the top in defensive zone exits. It stands to reason since he’s a puck possession player. It also stands to reason he’s going to be dispossessed of it, too. I wonder if the switch to a shorter stick this year is something he’s still adjusting to as well. Ironically, he made the switch to facilitate better stick handling in tighter spaces and he seems to struggle a bit more.
  23. Do you mean “snowflakes” in the frozen precipitation sense of the word or the Fox News definition?
