This is not an over statement. One of four college players in history to be named an All American as a true freshman and the ONLY receiver ever to be named as such. Coming out, he was leaps and bounds ahead of the class according to scouts; there was Watkins and then everyone else.

One half of football vs. the best D in the league isn’t what I’m talking about. Gotta give the Ravens D al, the credit. But anyone who has watched Rivers over the course of his career knows what a great QB he has been. If you wish to define his ability based on this game alone, feel free. But it’s a myopic take to say the least.

I’m pretty sure I’ve read in these very pages that defense is obsolete in today’s NFL; a mere afterthought in the grand scheme of things.

Buffalo's reputation amongst free agents
K-9 replied to clayboy54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tyler Eiffert is simply ignorant of the realities. Visiting players only see the visiting player facilities and not the expansive facilities available to the home team players. The Bills have some of the most state of the art facilities in the game and they are still expanding their player training areas. Eiffert would change his tune if he came in for a visit. If we're interested in him and he chooses to deny a visit based on what he's seen or heard from others than don't know any better, then he's too stupid to know better and we are better off. Maybe he should ask Preston Brown about the facilities. Brown can start with indoor practice facility the Bengals don't have. -

Looking a lot like a certain wild card game from many years ago, only Frank was on the low end of the score board at the time. -

Got that right. Especially Nelson. He's the real deal. -

Frank is calling a GREAT game so far. Safeties backed off after the first series and he's gouging them with the run now. Houston may get blow out if the Colts make it a one dimensional game early. -

I'm OK with the play by play guy, but Jason Wittless and Booger Mac are two of the worst of all time. Especially Wittless. Dumb. As. A. Stump. (apologies to all stumps out there) -

Robert Foster makes PFF All-Rookie Team

The decision he made to stay in town and work with Josh over the bye week was instrumental in his turnaround, imo. If he can stay on his current trajectory, sky’s the limit. -
Great article. And he would be that much better if our clueless head coach wouldn’t insist on playing him on the right side. Sure, unlike many Dmen, he can play his off side if called upon, but he’s simply not nearly as good. On the left side, he is elite; on the right he’s below average. And he he should be as far from paired with Scandella as possible.

Palmer would have to take a major cut in pay to become an NFL position coach.

Levi Wallace ends season as highest graded rookie CB by PFF
K-9 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not surprised in the least as the All 22 bears out his high ranking. He quietly solidified the #2 CB role since his insertion into the lineup and the weekly guest star appearance at the position came to an end. His story is remarkable on so many levels. To do what he did at Alabama is rare. Can’t help but root for the kid. -
Not surprised at the outcome, was actually expecting it given the roll the Islanders are on while we’ve been struggling to find consistency. The Isles are a far deeper team along their forward lines while we have one legit NHL scoring line and nine other 3rd/4th line skaters. It’s a work in progress I guess. Housley continues to disappoint, too, as he insists on using Dahlin on the right side, which is bad enough, but then pairs him with Scandella which is a travesty. I get the impression Housley doesn’t give too much credence to analytics, but the difference between Dahlin on the left vs. Dahlin on the right is night and day. Put another way, on the left he puts up superior Corsi numbers, while on the right side, he is downright terrible. If Housley has ANY capacity for observation, he will put Dahlin back with Bogosian and let Scandella muck things up with whomever. But his decisions have hurt Dahlin’s development. And that’s unacceptable.

I just read in this very forum that KW has been a liability so this must be some sort of mistake. -
Bills sign Derek Anderson to extension

What a difference a year makes going from zero stability at the most important position to making it one of the most solidified on the squad. No mysteries heading into 2019 at all. -
I think he may garner HOF consideration at some point down the road. Steve Buerlein made the comment today that since 2006, KW has more tackles than any other interior defensive lineman in the game. I found that interesting.

Buffalo News: PFF Breaks Down Josh Allen's Accuracy "Issue"
K-9 replied to Thurman#1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Allen was the opposite of rattled after the pick 6. He looked determined to atone for the mistake and he spent the entire second half doing just that. The ability to shrug off adversity may be the most important quality in a QB. I remember a Monday night game vs. the Bengals when Kelly threw three, count em, THREE interceptions in the first quarter and then proceeded to throw five TDS the rest of the way. You can’t coach mental toughness and I suspect Allen has it. How would Peterman have responded, I wonder.
