  1. Why do they keep playing it? Because it’s paid ad revenue. It’s on the advertiser entirely. They must think there’s a market to tap.
  2. On paper, it looks like it could be a carbon copy of the Pats*** game. I certainly look for the Titans to copy BB’s pressure schemes. Easier said than done, though, as the talent available on the D side isn’t the same.
  3. For crissakes, Tyrod Taylor was entering his fifth year in the league when we acquired him. Allen is a baby by comparison, especially given his background as a QB coming up through high school and college, where TT was also light years ahead on the development scale.
  4. Well, that’s worrisome because now he will have far more time to be in the general public on a daily basis.
  5. True. That may be a simple case of just getting owned by superior athletes, but that should have been adjusted to, regardless.
  6. On a scale of 1 to Adam Gase, just how “off” did his eyes look?
  7. Just a cursory initial review of the game tells me that, in addition to poor decision making by Allen, we have serious flaws in our pass protection schemes. The O line looked just as confused as Allen and, again, I have to give credit to Belichick for his designs and to his players for their ability to execute them at such a high level. We can expect to see much of the same from here on out until we show we can solve it. I’d like to see us break the huddle faster and get to the LOS with at least 15 seconds on the play clock to allow more time for pre snap reads and adjustments. There is also no variation in cadence as well and Allen is too easy to get a jump on as a result.
  8. Not losing faith at all. Weird question. QBing is often about how you respond to adversity and his second half was a big improvement over his first. It’s a shame a cheap shot didn’t allow him the opportunity to continue his fourth quarter trends of this season. It would have been nice to see if Allen could have completely negated his bad first half. And Bill Belichick has made far better QBs than Allen look bad for decades now so I have to consider that as well. It’s interesting that fans have to make it more about Allen sucking than BB’s defensive wizardry. That Pats*** defense is incredible and there’s no shame in struggling against it because every team has their last five games going back to the SB. And I’m not convinced Daboll put our offense in the best position to succeed, either. But that’s another thread topic entirely.
  9. Had a better completion percentage today than Brady did.
  10. You’re a lucky man.
  11. Took John Elway 10 years to hit the 60% barrier for a season.
  12. That was...bad. Laughably, embarrassingly bad. I want a refund of the 2 minutes, 54 seconds of my life wasted on that trash.
  13. Back in our glory years, we routinely made the Pats*** our Bwords. Routinely. But 1994 served notice that the tide was changing. A young NE*** team started to arrive on the scene and began to kick our asses. As we continued to age and regress, they did the opposite and ascended. Sooner or later, our current young team has to serve notice that we are no longer an easy out for them. Why can't tomorrow be like their 1994 for us?
  14. 7 of those were against Miami. Not saying that the other 6 in two games isn’t impressive and that we won’t have our hands full, but I think getting more than half your total against a very poor team adds some perspective.
  15. I appreciate this perspective. Which is why I hope we come out loose and ready to just let it rip. Nobody expects us to win this game, there is no pressure, and we should play that way. And our coaches should coach that way. Just strap it up and punch them in the mouth.
  16. Well, if that’s the case; that JBotts wants more than Ehlers for Risto, then we are worse off than I thought. Ehlers is a far better player at his position than Risto is at his.
  17. Laine re-ups with the Peg. Still have to fit Connor, the better player, into their cap. If Byfuglien doesn’t come back, they need Risto. If he does, then they need to give up somebody else to be under the cap. Give me Ehlers, please.
  18. You can say that again!
  19. Yep. He’s got the requisite nasty in him. Love that in my OLmen.
  20. Who needs analytics when you have state of the art covert surveillance systems and radio jamming electronics.
  21. Oh, absolutely. Nothing lends itself better to improv than experience. I wasn’t comparing Rodgers’ and Allen’s relative ability to improvise. Just saying that Rodgers still does it a helluva lot. But given his intelligence, work ethic, and raw skills, I believe Allen can get very good at it with experience as well.
  22. My only quibble with the OP’s well thought out post is the suggestion that Rodgers doesn’t improvise. He’s made a living out of that ability and continues to do so.
