  1. 1996 is great. It will be nice to see where Josh is in his 14th season as well. Have you looked at Elway’s relative rankings to his peers over the 10 years it took him to hit the 60% plateau? While middling in terms of completion percentage, he was a GREAT quarterback, regardless. That’s because there’s a difference between being a passer and being a QB. People can harp all they want about Allen’s completion percentage, but they are missing the much bigger picture in the meantime.
  2. I agree there is little chance, especially in Foxboro this time of year. But NOTHING is preordained in the NFL. Nothing. We simp.y shouldn’t take that for granted.
  3. I’ve pointed this out in the past as well. Be prepared for the, “It’s a different league now and you can’t compare across eras like that.” When I pointed out that’s true, but that you CAN compare the relative rankings to their peers of the eras, I never got a response. It took Elway 10 years to hit the 60% plateau, regardless of the era he played in.
  4. Seems to be little regard for the “anything can happen” aspect of football. If we beat NE*** on Saturday, that is all the MORE reason to play everyone against the Jest the following week.
  5. “Ball’s out!”
  6. For decades coaches always defined them as plays of 20+ yards, be it run or pass. I had no idea that the criteria for running plays was 15+ yards until today.
  7. Levi, like 99% of DBs nowadays, has an issue with technique more than anything else. It’s maddening to see these guys, time after time, think all they have to do to get a guy down is throw a shoulder into him. Wrong! Tackling requires WRAPPING UP the ball carrier. Especially when you don’t have a size advantage. You’d think coaches would be driving this point home 24/7.
  8. He certainly had ample reason to complain, that’s for sure.
  9. What kind of person begrudges an 85 year old man his right to protest after years of dedication? Especially given all that he did for his fellow Bills fans over the years. You sound bitter towards Russ. What, did he overcook your steak or something? Kick you out of his party in Fort Lauderdale?
  10. Who takes the time to write that letter? A person totally committed to the team for decades who has had his heart broken and needs to vent. And he is SO much more than a restaurant owner. That’s the LEAST of what he is.
  11. FFS, the last person who deserves derision for losing faith in this team is Russ Salvatore. He’s a great, self-made man and we have been fortunate to have him in our community for all these years. From his many philanthropic contributions to his ceaseless Buffalo boosting in the business community, he’s shown time and time again that he puts Buffalo and it’s people first. How many other fans have we known to have reached their breaking point over the years? Christ, how many of them come to this forum just to rejoice in that? There has never been a bigger fan of this team and he’s welcome aboard the band wagon any time he wishes to climb back on.
  12. Duck Dynasty. My ass. How many 4th quarter comeback wins is that for Josh Allen now?
  13. This is just...wrong. Really, really, REALLY wrong. I hope the OP is drunk out of his senses or being totally sarcastic, one or the other. This is just Lenny and the Rabbits stupid.
  14. I still miss Hogboy. He was one of the most unique posters this forum ever saw. Some of his humor was pure genius.
  15. If it wasn't the fan from Crystal Beach, it was the young fan from the Sloan Kiwanis Club.
  16. Regular season only. We beat them at Three Rivers in the '93 playoffs a week after the comeback game against Houston.
  17. Daboll is a liability. That's the simple truth of it. How much say McDermott has in neutering his QB isn't known, but Daboll's playcalling leaves a lot to be desired, regardless.
  18. I don’t believe a single playoff contending team is interested in adding AB to its roster. Not. One. It makes absolutely ZERO sense on multiple levels.
  19. They didn’t find their legs until the 10 minute mark of the first and from there on out we pretty much owned them, especially in the 2nd. I think the shots attempted were something like 65 to 29 in our favor. We really owned the offensive zone much of the time. Sorry you had to suffer through Dunleavy on the radio. He’s the worst.
  20. Helluva point. Seven out of the last eight, with five of six against three of the most difficult teams to play.
  21. We haven’t played a better period in years. To absolutely dominate the Islanders like that is a rarity. Too bad we had three consecutive penalties to kill off because that was the only thing that slows us down.
