Good luck with that, Sean. -
Week 14 - Ravens (-6.5) at Bills Over/Under 44

It’s Eskimo Pie, Monte! A whole year’s supply of Eskimo Pie! -
He needs to retire, simple as that. He’s got two young kids, all the money he needs, and he’s still young enough to enjoy it all. For crissakes, he almost died a couple years ago because of complications arising from treatment of a concussion. I have no idea about concussions and LTIR ramifications. Seems you should be able to do that, especially with his recent history.

Postgame thread: Week 11 Bills defeat Dolphins!

When we play with leads in the second half of games more often and teams are forced to be more one dimensional, I would expect to see Oliver getting more snaps. -
There are two schools of thought: bench a player or get him immediately involved on the next play from scrimmage, whether on a run or pass. Given his penchant for big plays, I would have opted for the latter with Singletary. Given McD's penchant for conservatism, I am not surprised he sat Singletary.

Kyle Allen passed for 325 yards today

124 of those yards came with 8:02 left in the game and us leading 37-20. Fitz did little to hurt us in this game. -

Fitz threw for 300 yards and NONE of them had an impact on the final outcome. Unless we actually witness the full context of a QB's performance on any given day, then we really aren't in a position to make pronouncements one way or the other. -
Best TE the game has ever seen? Best in his era, but that’s as far as I go. There have been several TEs who have had similar impacts at the position over the years. None more than the late, great John Mackey. But I get it, recency bias and lack of familiarization with past impact players at the position can cloud people’s judgement.

Where to? -
I think that’s right. I was going by what RJ and RR said on the telecast. I’ve come to learn since that Dahlin wasn’t even on the ice when Ennis scored! Much has been said about the two times he fanned on the puck in his own zone on that one shift in the first period and yeah, it resulted in some O zone possession time for the Sens, but he eventually put out his own fire by making a decent play to clear the zone. I think he was benched in the third, like he was vs. the Panthers earlier in the season, because he gets out muscled too often in his own end, loses the puck, and we give up scoring chances. There’s a video of Jack giving him a pep talk on the bench. Good stuff by Eichel; good captaincy.

I don’t think the Senators are as bad as they were supposed to be. The Eichsnipe was en fuego tonight. And Asplund looked like he belonged all evening. Dahlin benched for most of the third after Ennis’s goal. Hmm. The lack of secondary scoring continues to be an issue. At least the Blackhawks have to travel tonight as well after their game in Nashville.

He’s handy that way.

I agree that, in general, Botts is doing a good job; at least the best he can. And that our trash is gonna be trash to other teams as well. There are no quick fixes, but it’s amazing that after sucking for so long and having so many higher draft picks, that we are still treading water with these same types of players. I won’t snicker at your predictions, but I don’t share the same optimism after seeing the rapid regression since our hot start. Something needs to click, and soon, or it will be a repeat of last season, given the roster of floaters currently assembled.
-
Well, until we churn the roster and rid it of those players who lack capability and/or desire, then we shouldn’t expect the improvement having those players would provide. Botts can’t be expected to be a miracle worker, but he’s into his third season with those types of players inhabiting our roster. I can understand wanting to see if Krueger could coach those missing traits into those players, but I think the spots on those leopards ain’t gonna change.
