  1. I think the documentary was about several things, that aspect being one of them. The research showing the relationship between the killing of animals and serial killers has been known for a while now. From the opening scene of the documentary, we knew that if he hadn’t already killed a person, it was only a matter of time before he graduated. Psychopaths, especially intelligent ones, don’t always provide tell tale clues like this person. Authorities need to take these acts seriously, investigate, catalogue and monitor individuals who commit them when caught or reported on.
  2. Gilmore has matured. He wasn’t pointing a finger and yelling at his safety as Brown waltzed into the end zone.
  3. Depending on the TV, you should be able to go into settings and set the color value to “0”. Good luck.
  4. Oh for crissakes, just watch the game in black and white if the uni colors offend so much.
  5. Then my advice is don’t watch it. He records the killing of four kittens and posts them on the internet. While the filmmakers don’t show the entirety of the acts themselves, they show enough and it’s beyond horrifying none the less. Beyond comprehension.
  6. Did they catch the person who was doing that? Because there’s a better than even chance he’s a serial killer.
  7. Then Daboll needs to get him into a rhythm from the get go to dispel the butterflies. A short, easy pass or two or a couple designed QB runs perhaps.
  8. I don’t put any of it on Krueger. Just to be clear, I put a player’s attitude on the player 100% of the time. Good coach, bad coach, smart coach, dumb coach, it doesn’t matter. Attitude is always in the player’s control 100% of the time.
  9. Good point about letting these guys play without calling all the tic tac penalties we too often see. Gilmore gets away with murder, Tre tends to get flagged just for looking at a receiver the wrong way. Let em play.
  10. Noticed served. Embracing your role on a team, regardless of how prominent or minor, is ESSENTIAL to team success. Complaining about it is the exact opposite. ERod gets $2m per to skate up and down the ice each evening while having virtually NO impact to the team’s success. The Sabres rewarded his potential by giving him that deal in the first place. He hasn’t lived up to it. Not by a long shot. And he has the temerity to complain? He needs to be jettisoned just for the negative vibes he brings. Same goes for Bogo and anyone else who can’t play well enough to earn more time (Miller?).
  11. I agree. I see Hopkins getting 6 for 60 and a score, much like last season. And Tre will have done a great job of limiting his effectiveness in the meantime. Bigger keys for me are Edmunds and Milano limiting their TEs.
  12. Mentally collapse or quit, however we want to phrase it, equals the same thing in my mind given that it’s now three consecutive coaches they’ve done it to. Regardless, I don’t see them recovering from this debacle. Exorcising the Tampa Bay demon was essential to their season, for several reasons.
  13. First playoff game ever at Rich Stadium. Will never forget the electricity. Masses of fans gathered at the gates chanting in unison, “Let us in! Let us in!” We actually opened the gates earlier than normal that day.
  14. They are done. They won’t recover from this loss. We saw the same weak minded group we’ve seen under Bylsma and Housley. This group has now quit on Krueger. Nice.
  15. I understand where you’re coming from regarding JBotts. But that has nothing to do with a player’s decision to act professionally or not. Requesting trades because you don’t like how you’re being used, ESPECIALLY when you’ve done NOTHING to earn being used more, is bullcrap. ERod, Miller, Bogo et al, need to understand that they are on THIS team and in THIS circumstance and it’s ENTIRELY on them to accept their roles and not complain in the meantime. Attitude is ALWAYS a personal decision.
  16. F all these little to no talent whining bastards! If anyone wanted your sorry lack of skills, you’d have been gone by now. Ungrateful pricks, the lot of them!
  17. This strikes me as a “lipstick on a pig” kind of move. Taking nothing away from Dalton Smith, but he’s not gonna infuse the ERods, Shearys, and Veseys of the world with any grit. He’s not gonna make anyone more able to win puck battles or go to the greasy areas in front of the net. Besides, our main issue isn’t lack of grit, it’s an inability to score if Jack isn’t dominating. That said, I hope Dalton Smith knocks a chiclet out of Cernak’s face tonight. Same goes for that dirty little prick, Kucherov. The league’s response to their cheap shots that took two of our guys out of the lineup, was inadequate. Time to mete out some old time justice and go biblical.
  18. A myriad of explanations to be sure, as has been pointed out. Two that come to mind are the evolution of offenses towards a shorter passing game with higher percentage passes and the proliferation of sub packages as the league has moved to a greater degree of specialization over the years.
  19. The Texans have nothing to do with the Oilers’ legacy. That legacy was transferred to the Titans when they moved to Tenny. And I’d say any Oilers ghost from the past was exorcised by the Music City Miracle. Nice stretch by the media to try and create a story line for this game.
  20. Neither. It was a necessary move at the time.
  21. This is the only best scenario.
  22. What else ya got, Nostradamus?
  23. That’s a very low bar, but yeah.
  24. You may want to watch his last four games again. Major improvement.
