  1. I don’t believe a single playoff contending team is interested in adding AB to its roster. Not. One. It makes absolutely ZERO sense on multiple levels.
  2. They didn’t find their legs until the 10 minute mark of the first and from there on out we pretty much owned them, especially in the 2nd. I think the shots attempted were something like 65 to 29 in our favor. We really owned the offensive zone much of the time. Sorry you had to suffer through Dunleavy on the radio. He’s the worst.
  3. Helluva point. Seven out of the last eight, with five of six against three of the most difficult teams to play.
  4. We haven’t played a better period in years. To absolutely dominate the Islanders like that is a rarity. Too bad we had three consecutive penalties to kill off because that was the only thing that slows us down.
  5. So far, it’s much a carbon copy of our first game against the Islanders this year.
  6. Why you do me like this, God?
  7. Including interim head coaches? Looks good from where I sit.
  8. When I do stop actIon on that video link above, it sure looks like he slipped it just inside the Dman’s right skate. Unreal.
  9. For some reason, I keep seeing the thread title as: Antonio Brown Apoplectic.
  10. So, Bogo was on the ice for practice this morning. Awkward?
  11. Thinking they had enough other talented receivers had nothing to do with their decision to get rid of Brown. Nothing at all.
  12. There aren’t many players that can take and make that shot like he did.
  13. That was a thoroughly enjoyable game. Three in a row over two division leaders and one that is threatening the division leader we just beat. Nice.
  14. Same here. There were no obstructed views of the ice from any seat in the Aud, even in the last row of blues under the overhanging oranges.
  15. Yep. If the Steelers can’t run the ball, they will lose. Period.
  16. More like the Condiment Bowl: ketchup vs. relish.
  17. They just showed a bunch of different angles on The Instigators’ and it looked like it went in far post, low. Didn’t appear to go though any part of the goalie’s body and pads.
  18. One of the greatest seasons by a player in league history, regardless of position. Even more impressive because EVERY opposing D player keyed on him. Every. Play.
  19. I don’t see any sign if Eichel wanting out, either. Unless putting the team on his back, playing a dominant 200 foot game, and establishing himself as a star in the league is a sign he is totally miserable and wants out.
  20. Teams have had that blueprint for Allen since last season. The difference between the Pats*** and Ravens blitz schemes vs. everybody else’s is their respective CB play. I’m not convinced the Steelers have the CBs to support all those Cover 0 blitzes. That said, the Steelers D can hurt you in other ways, regardless.
  21. If there is one thing I’ve noticed about Allens’s attempts on go routes, especially vs. blitzes like we saw Sunday, is that they are rushed. Allen seldom has or takes the time to set properly and make a smooth delivery. Virtually every time. Maybe Daboll should scheme some mass protections to give him that extra second to set up. Our wideouts have done a decent job of beating press coverage and that extra time just might help Allen gauge it a little better.
  22. Nicholson already did that role. Has an actor ever played the same role in two unrelated movies before?
  23. I’ve done the research and if a TSW forum member doesn’t improve after his first two years, he is what he is. Sadly, our friend jrober is a three year veteran at this point, so there is no hope.
  24. Perhaps when Jack is in his last contract year and approaching free agency like Hasek was, the Sabres will be forced to trade him or lose him for nothing as was the case with Hasek. And perhaps not. There is no sense in worrying about that now.
  25. Good listen, thanks for posting. Liked the part about Eichel not being afraid to embarrass guys in practice. You get better in practice and it’s nice to know he is setting a standard in that regard. Reminded me of the stories about Hasek back in the day when Lindy would tell him to let guys score on him practice sometimes so they wouldn’t get discouraged. Hasek said, “screw that, they have to EARN the right to get a puck past me.” Something about that mentality appeals to me. It screams “competitor” and that’s always a good thing.
