If we do nothing more than improve the PK, our goaltending will improve as well. Ullmark’s numbers 5v5 are indicative of solid net minding.

215 yards? In the first half? DaVonta Smith is gonna go to Miami at 3 overall and be a pain in our ass for the next 10 years. What a player.

So that was the grinding sound of rusted gears I heard earlier. -
Passer Ratings from Wild Card Weekend: Josh Allen is #1

I’m as dyed in the wool of a Bills fan as there is, but I can also fully appreciate what Jackson and other players do on the field as well. No dilemma at all from where I sit. -

I don’t know if “stole” is the right word since we scored 27 points in less than 26 minutes. Josh and Co. took full advantage of the limited opportunities they had. And that’s on the Colts.- 54 replies

Passer Ratings from Wild Card Weekend: Josh Allen is #1

There’s always been a difference between being a passer and being a quarterback. Some appreciate that nuance more than others. Luckily, Josh is good at both. -
Special education, indeed!

“Just give it to ‘em!”

All the Allen/Jackson hype aside, this game boils down to how our O line handles their D line and pressure. I suspect Martindale will play man and bring the house like he did last year until Josh shows he can handle it, which he didn’t last year. Martindale is in for a surprise this year, though, because this isn’t the Josh Allen of last year and this isn’t the receiving group of last year, either.

What is the second-most important position on a football team?
K-9 replied to LeviF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dominant edge pass rusher. If QB is the most important position, then the ability to consistently pressure the opponent’s most important position is the second most critical position. -
Wild Card: evening game Browns at Steelers 8:15 pm NBC

Hmm. Old Mo can be fickle if he starts to root against you. Steelers score here and it’s on. -
Absolutely, as I’ve been giving Rivers major props for his outstanding game. He’s a great QB.
-
Good point as well.
-
There’s nothing to discuss. Our D just didn’t answer the bell all day long.
-
That’s true, but it was less a D stand than it was a missed TD pass by Rivers. I’m not gonna quibble though. We gave the ultimate response by going 96 yards for the go ahead TD. Reich is gonna be answering questions about that decision because three points was the ultimate difference, but it was the right decision. Yet again, he disrespected Josh Allen by assuming his D wouldn’t let us go 96 yards. Oops.

You’re putting words in my mouth by suggesting that I implied the Bills receivers weren’t good. My ONLY point in the original post I responded to is that I don’t want to hear how Josh has to be better because he ALMOST had a turnover in a critical situation when he had three passes go thru his receivers’ hands in JUST as critical situations. Josh Allen won this game for us and his receivers all made GREAT plays when called upon at various junctures. Just don’t ding him for a turnover that wasn’t when he had three incompletions that should have been catches as well.
-
True. But it should have been over because of plays that didn’t happen. This fumble clearly did happen.

Rivers seems to play well against most teams his entire career, so I can’t act like I didn’t expect him to have a good game. That said, he’s been a Bills killer throughout his career. Then again, Big Ben was undefeated vs. the Bills as well before that Sunday night game.
-
Thank you for that. The refs stole our D’s only big play of the game.
