US has a shortage of mansions

Wow, its too bad they made that home modern- not that it isn't beauful inside, but that interior is no longer Edwardian Era style... San Fran is a wonderful place, but man, at those prices, visit and rent rather than live... I mean, unless you are trust fund kid. -
Mommy Grizzly likes it Dog Style, bet. I wonder what Megyn Kelly thinks of that tard sitting on the same couch as her?

bank of america paid bonuses to foreclose

the lines between our political parties, tax payers dollars, campain contributions, lobbying groups and overall the banking sector have been blurred for some time.... that is unlikely to change, so this will not be the first nor the last time this happens... I go into any tranasction with a bank realizing they don't give a !@#$ about me as a person, we are entering into a contract where 1. they need to make money 2. they hold the cards if I sign up a bad deal 3. struggles to uphold that contract are on me, not on them to be compassionate and understanding. To me, its no worse than wind power producers paying a utility $10 to buy their power, because they get a $20 credit from the Government to produce it- but only if they sell the power- it !@#$s up energy market pricing, and create inefficiency in the system. I don't like Banks in particular, but they lend me the money to acquire asset, therefore wealth. I am a conservative responsible lendee who take ownership of illiquid assets ALWAYS with a escape route- the government got involved in the housing crisis and took the uneducated populus and convinced them to get heavily leveraged in illiquid, fickle assets like real estate.... banks were gleaming to sign up those FHA backed loans.. End game? Government stay out, banks don't loan at zero down with varibale interest rate in inflated asset prices, no bust- -
how so?

Did you have stroke or something? If EJ shows he can be competent that opening day against the Patriots, in my opinion, he starts. Give him a heavy run first offense, make the offense simple enough to give him some success and lean on the Defense that day to see if the game can be close/ winnable. EJ is supposed to be a smart kid so I think he will pick up the playbook prety quick, no doubt Big Bill will make him look silly for the most part, but I htink gettin gout there and getting a feel for the game is essential- The Kolb project seems like a exercise in futlity- so he wins a few games, maybe we get off to a qucik start but if past predicts the future in some sense he will be hurt or inconsistent, meaning nowheresville again.... If EJ is ready, he plays -

I don't understand the issue here. If you run into 250 pound human beings full speed and get up seeing stars, year after year, why would you expect there not to be long-term health consequences with that? Its just like smokers who got lung ailments and sued tabacco companies... did they honestly believe that inhaling smoke in lungs was long-term a safe thing to do? If the issue is the NFL knew the long-term study evidence and buried it, then maybe I see the point. But people love football, and the players have a chance to make huge bucks and never have to worry about money again if they play it right... they know the risks, they follow the money.... its not hurting fans or other is society... -
You have no rights in an NFL venue, they can do just about anything they want- you make a choice to buy a ticket and go in... if you don't like, like I don't stay home or go to a sports bar to watch the game (I guess unless you are blacked out)....

Willis McGahee needs a job: Cut by the Broncos

They need to get him signed, and it time to get him in camp. That is team is Title or bust this year and Ryan is a big part of that effort. Did you go to school with him? -

Clearing up room to sign Clady.... that squad is gonna be stacked -
I think the basic assupmtion that every NFL player is clawing to the best to play the game at their position is incorrect. I watched a diddy on Brady and his QB specialist a while back, to me, Brady was obssesed with being the elite of elite. Manning as well. Other guys I am sure want to perform because they got the NFL because they were competitive and commited, but it would not shock me that some guys treat it like any job, do enough to perform but not over the top. Didn't our own Stevie say he never lifted a weight or worked out in the offseason until recently? why did he not hire a private position coach once it looked like he was going to be a player in the league? Maybe he did?

Edward Snowden: Hero or Traitor?
B-Large replied to CosmicBills's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Heros run into burning houses and pull out survivors, run into the streets of Oklahoma during a twister and pull kids to safety.... I am uncomrtable with hero being thrown around in this story.... Patriot maybe? Freedom fighter perhaps? When you get security clearance and are privied to some top secret ****, you should honor that priviledge and commitment. I am not saying there is not a line in which the Government should not cross with reagrds to protections and rights preserved under the law of the land, but in matter s of domestic security I think these programs are designed to keep the citizenery safe and to thwart attacks, and I assume they are successful at doig that. I keep thinking that one of the few duties of the Federal Government is to provide for domestic defense, this is just another tool in that effort, am I right on that or just a naive plug begging for his right to stripped from his very hands? -
I see what you did there....

A Rush To Judgement Or Does It All Make Sense?
B-Large replied to 3rdnlng's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Its concerning that the Government seems to be digging deeper and deeper into the personal matter of Americans, but to be honest, I just assumed post 9/11 that this sort of activity was going on.... I assumed that is why the Patriot Act was passed and enjoyed a continuation through this adminstration, to "connect those dots" that everybody was concerned with after the Towers fell. Honestly, I find the targeting of political opponents through one of the largest adminstrative arms of the Fed, the IRS, much more disturbing than the NSA collecting phone numbers and analyzing for suspicious activity... I understood the rationale for the Dept of HS and the Patriot Act post 9/11 and on goign as we fight a war against terrorist networks- the big question is whether the Law and the Creation of the Dept of HS has really made up any safer when you consider the intrusions we have endured? As far as Coup, I don't know- I listenedd to Rush on vacation a few weeks ago while int he car, he is a rebel rouser and needs ratings and listeners, so I take his ramlbing with a grain of salt..... I listed becuase I want a gilmpse into what the far right is thinking on various subjects.... I assume there are articles that, if you go back and dig, than Bush and Cheney were evil masterminds that were attempting a Coup D'etat against the American People, blah, blah, blah.... Truth be told, if any of the scandals implicate the President directly, then he should be held to account. -
Obama signs Warrantless FISA bill

Yep, just like he got privied to the scum at Gitmo- and the other looong lists of updates Georgie Boy had to look at, fret about at night why people tar and feathered him and thew him under the bus ... I am not saying I like the Patriot Act, but being realist we are not living in the USA of 100 years ago- I mean, we do have people who have delared a holy war against our nation... people blow up marathons... the question is what do we see as reasonable to give up in the Liberty arena to make sure we walk out cities safely??? -

Federal Charges against the men who recorded Buddy Nix

we were all 20 years old once, and we all know we did stupid stuff because in a way we were to undeveloped to think through the consequences. I am not saying these guys should get a smack on the hand, but should the penalty destroy the lives of these two nit-wits forever? Scare the wits out of them, put them on probabtion for 20 years, and make them pay their penalty through community service.... to me its about intent, their intent was being idiots panksters- I hope that is taken into consideration. -
