Progressives tout California Health care "success"

The cash doctor still bills insurance for labs, procedures and patients still need insurance when they are referred on for tertiary care... Why go into primary care and make high hundreds, when you could go into Dermatology and make 350k?... -
Supreme Court Voting Rights Act Decision — Section 4 invalid
B-Large replied to B-Man's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
ok, so congress had the opportunity to modernize the section in question, and chose not to.... so i assume if voter ID laws come into place in places like Texas and S. Carolina, and there is evidence that they are discriminatory, those said laws will end up at some point in the future infront of the Supreme Court anyway, right? I don't get the feeling the Supreme Justices will tolerate voter disrimination, but at the same time will not uphold a law that is outdated and not repsrentative of the current situation.... I don't see the problem. Jesus, is Clarence Thomas really Clayton Bigsby? We all know Bigsby hated people of all color, because they stink... lol -
I would only do it if I could be pancaked on concrete. No kitty pad or grass stuff. and I want to lambasted by Wilfork of some other tubby DL-man.

Twinkies will be back in July...

Balance sheets and cash flow statements typically don't lie, well, unless you're Enron. Maybe those workers are happy to out from under the union??? -

why cut off your nose to spite your face, I will never understand that. They could still be making them, today, instead then kill a company and tons of jobs... illogical. should this be merged with the HFCS diabetes thread? LOL I might have one, haven't had a twinkie in 30 years..... plus I need to check out this HFCS thing once and for all.... -
yep, its political. it will be DOA in the House, and the finger pointing will start carrying over into the next POTUS cycle as well. I still don;t see why securing your domestic border is such a point of contention, I can imagine how anyone could argue against it... but they do....

Its like grew up in the same house. My mothers meatloaf, when it cooled had solidified fat at least half way up the pan... that **** was so good. Also, we always had breaded pork chops or stuffed pork chops... pork shops were never enough, they needed a coating or stuffing... We also had Stuffed Peppers quite often to.... My parent barely recognize what my wife and i eat nowadays.... in fact I get bad indigestion when my mother makes food when we visit... she obviously thinks I am still 16 and have o fear of Cornanry Artery Disease... lol

He adressed Heath Care Costs, to be fair we will have to wait until the program actually goes into effect and see what the outcomes are... that is another 6 months from now, so congress and the president did address it. I am not saying it will lower costs, I am saying it was sold as a coverage bills that would lower overall costs for most Americans. Entitlement reform is a dead issue for this President. There are idelogical differences between he and the House that simply cannot be reconciled, and I don't believe our country has the gumption to address programs like Medicare and SS until they are in crisis mode- some would argue they are now, but the last estimates I had seen had Medicare safe util 2024 or and SS much longer than that. Immigration reform is a low hanging fruit right now, neither party wants to address the tax code and like I said above, Social Programs are just not urgent enough- so they focus attention on the next issue down the line. Securing the Border, Defining a Pathay to Citizenship, Establishing an Enforncing a system or Temp Work Permits- there is common ground there and commonsense solutions that can be had- from what I have seen, then contention wil be doing a comprehensive versus piecemeal solution.... I would prefer pieces, the Government does not do comprehensive well...

If there is hard evidence that the is substance is poison, and it is deliberatly hidden from consumers, do you feel there should be a route of recourse on the side of the person hurt or damaged? and you had to lug blocks of ice up 12 flights of stairs, and walk to and from school up hill both ways in 3 feet of snow to, right? lol We played street hockey- got home at 3PM, played until the lights came on, in the winter until our fingers were numb. there were not many fat kids in our group, and video games where just coming out... It really not different than fat adults- we eat to many calories, work sedentary jobs and sit on the couch too much... its amamzing once you start tracking calories and moving around everyday how all of sudden you are no longer fat... hmmmm

sigh... HFCS probably is bad for you, the research tends to point in the direction, and there have been warning about other additives and sweeteners like Phenylalanine for years.... if you haven't noticed you're developmentally delayed. My guess is the girl was a big fat person, and became diabetic because of her overeating and lack of activity. If you don't want to take the risk, you don't want to be exposed, only eat food which on the label you can recognize and pronounce. better yet, avoid any processed foods and start from raw elements... Its probably no different than the brain trauma cases in the NFL right now, or the people sued the Tobacco compaines when they got lung cancer.... the question is, is it a organizations repsonsibility to make consumers aware fo all potential evidence of harm/ additction/ damage of a product or behavior, or is it the reposnsbility of the citizen to have common sense such as running into other men weighing 260 lbs for 10 years is bad for the noodle, or that inhaling smoke for 30 years would be harmful, or that being obese is dangerous to ones health, no matter how you got there?

NPR opens new $201,000,000 headquarters
B-Large replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Like NPR, and I like PBS. But I have to say if I am in charge of Public Braodcast, I am designing a building to be as functionally minimalist as possible when I know it is funded partially with tax payer money. To me its the same as congress expempting themselves from participating in the ACA in their State- what, the rules on apply to everyone esle? Or, its not my money, its taxpayers, a Chef is no big deal? I am !@#$ing tired of the word "wellness" at this point to... what does that word even mean anymore? -

or a head full of **** -
Thats fair, Ralph- I just wanted to be smart ass..... the worst stonger of all if the McKelvin return = loss ot the Pats.... that one hurt Bingo, Cursed. I have been on a few Bills MB's today, all of them have a thread about "chances" in the season opener now due to RG's surgery, Hitman Hernandez's legal challenges, Welker leaving, Brady's perrenial decline that started in 2009.... I love the Bills, but it articulates how far we have from the grace of the great teams and management of the later 80's and most of the 90's. I guess the Chefs, Faiders and Chargers all prayed for Elway to decline, Smith to get suspended, Davis to get hurt and need surgery... but man, just once I wanted to see this organization get is right a reclaim the top of the East without wishful thinking....

I know, everbody wil come out of the wood work with a story now... don't get me wrong, my deepest condolences for the family who lose their son, but I LOVE the ongoing dirty being pulled out on a Patriots player, let alone one of their Star players..... the only thing that could make me happier is if the IRS targeted Tom Brady and found out he was a Felon tax cheat.... Any Bad new for the Patriot is good new for the Bills, murder aside. I haven't heard it yet, but the Cliche "Could we have Connected the Dots" surely is on the dockett. -

Ran through a exhange estimation on individual private health insurance for Colorado yesterday, just interested to see what is might be as I may quict by job on January..... Cigna $125.00 month premium $5,000 deductible 20% Coinsurance Not too bad, honestly. Heck if I can put that $5000 in HSA, this is pretty reasonable. -

he appears to be !@#$ed- but again, what can be proved is the big question, and what he can be charged with remains to be seen. I just like how articles will continue to pop up about the one time Aaron yelled at the janitor because the shitter had no TP.... fans have conluded obviosly a monster, "we should have seen this coming from a mile away!!!" well that, and he actually wanted to win a Superbowl -

Hernandez got bent at Welker for being a dick? well I've seen everything now, the evidence is clear- he's guilty... lol... -
there is no reason this team cannot win 7-8 games. Pound the rock with your excellent RB's, ease the offense to make short high percentage passes and let your quick young receivers make things happen. also, the Defense has to be drastically better than last year, it was like watching a slow moving nightmare last season.... even if they are just good we can beat alot of the team on our schedule.
