  1. No bullshitting, I might make one of those Green Tank vehicles for Mardi Gras next near.... Thank you North Korea Children's Day!! North Korea is best Korea!
  2. Not sure.... I want to read more about it when I get back from vacation. I am sure they only want to patent your good traits, so that shouldn't take to long.
  3. Private enterprise may be able patent human genes soon... So a swab when arrested, no big deal I guess...
  4. Is it sad that 50 million over 2 years for the US government seems like a bargain? Its not their money, why would you care how you spend it??? It's like other managers at the hospital, always saying you have to spend all of your budget or you get less next fiscal year.... Just spend it on something.... It's the same mentality in a way, not my money not my business, who cares if you waste
  5. The People's Republic of Boulder..... Always a hoot
  6. It's ironic that men we glorify for their anti-tax, rebellious stance circa the late 1700's are essentially the same men we label extremists in 2013...
  7. good news, you do and so do I......
  8. Did you just outline the 2013 Obama Jobs Bill?
  9. Just overheard another shooting in Aurora, CO at a church... hope it isn't true
  10. Interesting. To me, Saying you're Miliatry or Claiming that the Cap is your family member is one of the same... its lying, its dishonest. Its only when you're discovered that you resort to the "we're taking this guy on a avacation he couldn't afford" explanation and ratioanlization... The intent was to cheat, and how I was raised, is dishonest... at the very minimum its probably bad karma.... I am not saying I don't go in the exit door at Invesco Field bathrooms at halftime to piss when the line in out the door in the entrance... or that I don't name drop to skip lines.... Is it dishonest, maybe maybe not, I know alot of people from my job.... but my mother sure would have some choice words about that kind of behavior.
  11. I am currently debating with myself here: if Renting a Capper to skirt the lines at Disney is on the same level as a friend of mine (who is become less of a friend) says he is military to get discounts on stuff. Both exploit the coutesy of others for personal gain... Neither has miltary service or a bone fide handicap in the family....
  12. Better hire some more agents... lol Politicians don't want a Flat Tax or Fair Tax, why would they want to surrender they're power to delve out favors, or manipulate markets, etc..... there are some Real Conservatives out there that would admit to 100% support of these efforts, but even most Republicans can't imagine losing that power... Think of a world with no deductions, credits, loophoes, just 10% of income and no more, no less- no $500 CPA Bill to figure the mess out and determine which changes were made.... no way that happens
  13. LOL, that is freakin awesome.... while I find the dishonesty abbhorrent, if you love free markets this is one great example of one person have a service in demand and another valuing it enought to purchase it. Disney sucks though- Chicken Sandwich, $17.50.... happiest place on earth, no. pound for pound most expensive, perhaps.
  14. Build a Billion Dollar Stadium for 6 (Not sure how long the Toronto series committment is) homes games a year, some not sold out, for a team that has not really been close to a postseason play for a decade and a half, in a State that stuggles to attract business because of high taxes.... Makes sense.
  15. I am expecting a well prepared, well coached NFL football team who goal is the AFCE and playoffs at the minimum. I am also prepared for a season that ends for all intents and purposes by Halloween, and reading about losing out for draft position.
  16. $750K on a ring.... lol.... what a dumbass....
  17. This must be part of that cost cutting effort we keep hearing about....
  18. I don't disagree with Tom, they're are sick... but the suicide way is selfish.... Go see a therapist, get rigged up on antidepressants, but my lord if you have kids, don't shoot yourself in the closet... I have not been in their shoes so I can only speculate how they feel, but my god, you take a piece of everybody in your life when you do that... I hate the idea of it, it makes me sick But if you have a mood disorder/ depression, do you still have a concept of reality??? I assume with schizophrenics they are detached from reality? At your lowest point, the deepest of darkest of lows, you have to be cognizant of the sonsequencesmof the choice you are making.... Maybe that is the symptom of the disorder, ambivalence toward others, but you still make a choice....
  19. This is the truth. My retard inlaws have already refinanced their mortgage 3 times, cashed out a retirement account early to pay off debt, spent a 40K inheritance to go the Ireland for a month- noe they have another 20K on a Credit Card and are considering selling land to pay it off, which will nto matter it will be back in no time. They have a 5 bedroom house for two people, 2 cars financed for 5 years, my mother-in-law hasn't worked in 8 years because she retired with her pension, and my father-in-law is 63 having an ablation so he is not going to be able to wokrk full time forever..... The have almost nothing expect two City and Country pensions and a mortgage. They have life insurance, not LTC insurance. They may two fo stupidest people I have ever come across.
  20. I might just change my username, that has a ring to it... Suicide is ugly and gutless. A gal I work with, her friend's husband shot himself in their closet last week- 3 kids under the age of 10. Everybody was contemplating what was wrong with him, if they could only have helped with his pain... what the !@#$, you don't have 3 kids then shot yourself, that's kitty and dispicable.
  21. Like the ACA is is working in providing coverage, but there is alot ot be desired in term of delivery and cost to be sure. I do get pissed when I see people who blatently work the system and flaunt it though. I want to say something, but I don't. But I'd like to.
  22. Medicaid is a tricky beast. I find the people who are on Medicaid fall into 2 catagories: People who are on it temporarily, they use it while they are in a tough position but have the itent of getting off of it and back to theirown employer based coverage. The other group are the lifers who see it as an entitlement- now, this is anecdotal, but i have been in the hospital long enough to hear numerous times "I am not paying a $2 copay" and that is the same group who is down in the cafeteria who orders burgers, fries and rings or has McDonald's in tow whiel they are here. Again, anecdotal, but I assume that second group could care less about health measures, doig their part to help contain costs or promote overall healthiness... So the question is what can be done to direct people's behaviors into positive versus negative expression? I don't know, but I do know when you are required to pay out of pocket people use less and respect it more. But you don't have a job, don't pay any taxes, and relatively low value of the scenery around you- why would you see the program any other way than someting that owes you? Expansion of Medicaid is a logical step in expanding coverage to the poor- the program exists, its got track records of success it is goal, there are systems in place to identify and prosecute fraud. However, why not take that program and let each State figure out how they will deliver the program- I had no issue with block granting the program, is the State wants to fund over what they used to get from the Fed, then they can put it to the voters to decide if they want to fund it. Coverage does not equate to better outcomes and measures, that goes for all coverages- it just stings more knowing the people on Medicaid are gettig the cow for free, the milke for free, and expect it. Don't you agree that coverage does not necesarrily promote increases in those measure, though? Its a personal choice that I am going to lose weight and lay off the rings..... and I am sure you have one or two pateints that don't follow your advice, right??
  23. Why would insurance coverage have any effect on indicators such as cholestrol, BP or any other measure? Its simply the payment mechanism. Coverage doesn't mean people will change habits or comply with prescribed treatments....
  24. Now thats how you cut healthcare costs....
  25. God I love the Airplane movies
