  1. Your brother needs to sprouts some testicles and shut his girlfriend down, get his dumb ass on that plane and do for family. The fact she's putting him this position probably means he needs to kick her to the curb because it's only going to get worse, and this is just the tip of the berg.
  2. People have lost a grip with reality right now, but when it comes down to choices I think people will put hysteria and hype aside and coalesce around truly qualified candidates. I think Rubio of the field is probably the best choice, one who is conservative but has the political skill to cut deals with Democrats and actually get stuff done on immigration reform and other items. Cruz, certainly a bight person, but I just don't see him getting enough indy's and his scorched earth non compromise style still will not resonate with reasonable Republicans. Carson is done, no experience in executive management or politics. Trump is intriguing, he's a deal maker and successful Executive, but he lacks the polish to be the President IMO. The next 8 years will be important on many issue, and Trump probably lack the political skills to be able to be effective. I still think Clinton will win. Nothing has stuck to her yet, and its appears unlikely much will. She's got experience and political savvy, and more importantly having Bill in her corner is a huge plus- he was able to hammer out compromises and deal and we were all a better country for it not too long ago. I think she's a bullshitter, but what politician isn't. Still think she appeals to more independents and other voting blocks to be edged, outside of another non fleeting political scandal.
  3. Thought Leadership? Lol, just come out and say it, you think they're a couple of gays...
  4. This team isn't winning 4/5 coin tosses let alone 4/5 football games. Rex is not a very good coach, he's terrible with situational football and in game adjustments.... I'd say 2-3 more win, who knows the order, but we saw this team perform against a team that was playing consistently well... My guess 28-14 Houston.
  5. They do this EVERY season, why is anybody pissed off at this point?
  6. People are incredibly stupid, but then again water is wet and the sky is blue.
  7. Rex Ryan might be the worst head coach I've seen at practicing good situational football. He's regularly on the losing end of opportunities to put his team in a place to win, his team continues to regress in all phases, and he resides over a defense that was among the tops in the NFL last year ready to take a next step. It'd be hard to to fire him if this continues, this roster is to talented to perform Ike they do.
  8. This country is so violent these stories don't even phase me anymore...
  9. we should avoid throwing to that guy...
  10. I wish I would have the insight to device such an impactful, well timed ruse like this...
  11. it was supposed to be a joke, sorta
  12. Update: I didn't get to the VIP meet and greet before the event as planned, so I didn't get to meet him as I had hoped. Impressions. Obviously very bright man, we all knew that. I surprised by how much of a sense of humor he had, because he seems so dry on Fox. He had a **** ton of jokes and quips, mostly at the expense of Hillary Clinton, but also clowned Trump and Carson relentlessly. You could tell his candidate was Marco Rubio, and it wasn't even close- he didn't even mention any of the candidate other than those three, but you could tell he thought Rubio to be the most skilled politically, reasonable, and he thinks his bilingual is a huge asset. He thought the Paris attacks will make Ben Carson pretty much irrelevant coming up because he has zero experience politically and in Executive office. He said the same should happen to Trump, but against all logic and historical precedent it won't. He did a really nice segment on how unlikely WE are, or were. 3,000 miles from anything on the wilderness frontier, against all odds of success, but we got Lucky with a Lincoln, FDR, and Reagan... he talked a lot about Barack Obama and his vision to fundamentally transform American rather than make changes around the edges, and cited what he called the Nationalization of the Healthcare- I fundamentally disagree as come to no shock to anyone here, but it would have been nice to discuss that with him and see what plan he thought would be best for the country, and how much traction it might get. On the healthcare front he said Republicans flooded into office on opposing the ACA, but leave it to the GOP in 2012 to pick the only guy in 300M Americans to run for the POTUS who supported and passed a like plan in the State of Massachusetts... he said he couldn't believe that GOP could be that short sighted, but then again maybe wasn't so surprised... he essentially based a lot of our political theater, it was really fun to be apart of.
  13. I would 150 pounds ago. That photo is surely shopped.
  14. The pats are vulnerable with key injuries, time to go in there, beat the piss out of Gronkowski and force Mrs Budchen into some turnovers... Make a god damn statement already, this team is talented and getting healthy... No excuses anymore. The Chiefs are beatable, the benefitted from Manning tossing up rainbow interceptions all game but really didn't do much with those turnovers... That game should have been a blowout of blowout, Alex Smith isn't that good and the rest of that offensive is meh.
  15. Why don't they stick around take up the fight for their country?
  16. My response at the border entrance: "Go be a Terrorist somewhere else"
  17. http://www.npr.org/2015/06/09/413178870/the-unfinished-va-hospital-thats-more-than-1-billion-over-budget We offered to amend our second inpatient tower to help accommodate and facility share with the VA, no go. We built our $400m projected 350 bed inpatient tower for the price of, 400M. They are 1B over, a Billion over already... The VA is still not done years after beginning, they built multiple building instead of one, and it doesn't really look close to done imho. Again, over by a billion already and not done. We could have build 3-4 350 patient towers for that... Makes Schillings company and pier destruction look like child's play.
  18. Johnny Blue? !@#$ that garbage, Pappy Van Winkle or stay home......
  19. I just always assumed he had AIDS... why wouldn't he?
  20. Maybe a good time to evaluate if we're fighting the most productive war against an enemy that is everywhere, and seems to have an endless supply of human beings willing to disregard their lives and those of others in the name of religion. I love dropping bombs in the desert we have put on a credit card for a decade and half and all, but maybe it's time to fight differently.
  21. Hillary will be thbe nominee, probably not much point in watching. Tell when the GOP field is down to 3-4 on the stage and a non cable channel and I might watch one of those as well.
  22. Going to a charity luncheon next Thursday, keynote speaking no other than Charles Krauthammer. Anybody want me to ask him anything on your behalf? The event is to support Orphaned Kids with Special Needs. Pretty Sweet. Any, enough about me.....
  23. my fear with tax increases is intitially they are design for one purpose, roads and bridges- then when they are set to expire, all of the sudden those taxes are already being paid, so why not keep them in place and fund another project? so on, and so on. I voted against a proposal in Colorado that I think we should definitely fund because politicians want to extend a hospitality tax that was used to rebuild the convention center. My contention was vote for a new, project specific tax with finite time on the books.
