If a video were to represent my experience with Jim's homeboys, this might be a fit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMkt20_NCoo I brighten days, its what I do. -

Horseshit. I was the best man at his gay wedding, people love that guy.... His friends were so polite- every time I sat down at the bar, one of his boys offered to push in my stool for me.... Very thoughtful bunch. -
Workplace recruiting or retention incentive? We have a pension (that is part of our comp plan), and a qualified contribution plan. When my wife worked at the State, she had the choice of a Defined benefit versus Defined Contribution plan. To me, the future is too uncertain to make a promise today that will be fulfilled 25-30 years from now.

We expect elite medical care from birth to death, and people actually think cost of care would do down? If people believe that, I'm not sure what to say to them. I have a 78 year old that is on Medicaid that has been here for a month getting eye surgeries to save sight in 1 eye because he didn't address his glaucoma for decades- his current tab is 300K and counting. We can't deliver care like that to people at the end of their rope and expect prices to go down. Healthcare is paid for through subsidizing those who have nothing with those who have something. There is no other way around it unless we are willing to make hard choices about 300K bills for 78 year olds (among other hard choices)... the only way to truly reduce cost is to set a National spending cap on care, or go to a truly free market, cash payment system. Any plan, ACA, GOP plans, single risk pool (without a cap) are the same smoke and mirrors cost shifting game while splitting hairs politically. Everybody can't have it all, all the time until they die- its just not reality.

From just the Supreme Court perspective Republicans voting for Clinton makes no sense. Why would you throw a tantrum, and undermine conservatism for a generation? And Bernie supporters want Trump to nominate a conservative to the court? How does that create a path for progressive, socialist goals? People really aren't thinking clearly right now. Or they're retarded.

My aunt retired at 60, she was able to buy insurance for herself for the first time in 2010. Had she not had an inconclusive Mri many years ago for headaches which became a red flag in her mr, she may have sold her company earlier. Depends whom you ask I guess. Unless you have a pension, or a 403b with a fortune in it, most people hold out for Medicare to hedge their reiterment. I hope I die in my 70's working- retirement sounds terrible, honestly.

Meanwhile, NPR published a story yesterday showing what Obamacare plans are really like for some families: As the NPR story makes clear, Powell is now spending more on “affordable” insurance than on her rent and yet she is seeing almost no real benefit. It’s a lot of money to pay for what amounts to a catastrophic insurance policy. Uh yes, the insurance company is stocking your money to pay for the other really sick people in their risk pool. Do Americans really not know now insurance works? Do they realize when they get run over by a truck and spend 90 days in ICU and draw 400-500K in expenses that other premiums payors not using services provided that money to pay their bills?

Where do think that table went, Fallujah State University? -

average shop hour is $80/hr on the low end, with design and production, not withstanding the cost of the light based equipment, $17,000 for that size table shipped is pretty reasonable. That being said, should a University be ordering custom furniture? I think a well made, basic table that's life is 25-30 years would have worth the cost, but it probably didn't need a light show. -
You're obviously a bigot- what tax attorneys don't need jobs too? There needs to be enough favor to go around.

No more manipulation of the citizenry by politicians through the 70k page tax code, and no more freebies?!!! I was wrong about that flat tax nonsense, obviously.

There have been issues with returns being stolen, the IRS is doing slot more to confirm identity. We have waited and extra month for our return, we were told because of the large changes in income and make-up of the filing. Just think if you only had to pay 10 percent flat tax, none of this nonsense would be necessary. Never underestimate the desperation of a broke government. This is why I encourage my friends who take generous liberties with their tax reporting to think twice given that the Fed is desperate for every dollar it can find. I have Posted previously about some clear abuses I have seen in my circle on this board, none have yet to be caught. Corporation like individuals respond to incentives. A 40 percent tax is not a very good incentive. A 10-15 percent tax coupled with a fiscally responsible government is probably better. A zero percent tax on every dollar invested domestically is even better. It's stupid that I am getting a ACA subsidy when I'd didn't apply for it, nor need it. It's stupid that my friends pay their Nanny under the table but she is on Medicaid, gets section 8 housing vouchers and food assistance. Really, the tax system in this country is stupid, and it's full display everywhere.

Trump vs Clinton: Pre Convention matchup

Trump of the choices. I really think Hillary is going to be indicted with regard to her email, and one of her platform items is mandatory family leave pay... I don't know why that irks me so much, but it really does. I don't know if she is pushing "free" college and all that nonsense, but I have seen enough of the lady hawk to know its more of the same. -
No, those type of people are okay....
-
yes, they are racist as well. Not to mention sexist, ageist, among other "ists".... and not considerate of gender neutral pronouns

Banning poster threads are gay

That's very thoughtful and considerate. Still gay though. Every board has its resident retard. Normally we'd lock the tard up in a room with no windows and metal door, but sadly, the Internet not only promotes, it guarantees retardation across all forums, everywhere. Just enjoy not knowing if his brand of retardation is an act or just the way he is. Its an intrugiung mystery.

Mostly what I see are middle class people making poor decisions. Like 2008 never happened, I see middle class people in bidding situations for top of the market real estate against here in Denver. I see people who could have easily purchased a vehicle outright taking 60 month leases on expensive vehicles. I see middle class people sending their kids to private schools when there is a public school next to their home. I see middle class families hiring a nanny and housekeeper when they have no business doing so, because their friend are or have been duped into thinking they should. I see Zililly or other Amazon purchases piled in their foyer (of their 600-700 heavily financed home) that appears to be filling this empty void in their material lives. I see them buying 4-5 coffees each day. I see them eating out almost daily for every meal, or using expensive delivery services instead of time managing and grocery shopping. I see watched, rings, tailored clothing, the newest phone, iPad, Apple Watch, etc... And I wonder. Is this middle class sadness story complete self inflicted BS?
