Yes- KC has better coaching than us. whats your point? Maybe we should sign Andy Reid and Spags. conpare the chiefs to any team in the league- you get the same results. Maybe every team should fire their coach and hire them too -
Xavier Worthy injured during 1st practice as a Chief

Yeah, I’m eager to see him take a hit in 20mg below. He definitely landed in the ideal spot though. He’ll be pretty dam good if he can stay healthy -
lol- ONE- good grief man. TWO- “elite” WRs are only supposed to catch passes that are perfect. The ball travelled like 60 yards in the air…..it wasn’t perfect- they rarely are 60 yards downfield. Make a play. MAKE A ******** PLAY when your team needs you to make a play! Diggs. Yes it was 💯 Diggs’ fault. He dropped a pass that hit him in both hands. THREE- shakir had a solid game- Kincaid caught every pass to him. 5 of Diggs 8 targets were incomplete. 6 of the rest of the teams 31 targets fell incomplete. Think about that. FOUR- cmc had 22 rushes for 80 yards vs the same defense in the SB. FIVE- agreed- our defensive failures are usually the reason our season ends. We couldn’t stop them. It’s why I would’ve been ok firing McD after the season if we had hired Ben Johnson. In this case, it must be noted that the Injuries we had had an impact in not being able to stop them- ever. We had played them much better weeks prior with Bernard, Benford and a healthy Douglas. I agree- our offense wasn’t good vs KC- it was Josh carrying, partly because his WR1 couldn’t get open or catch passes. Partly because his WR2 had a boo boo and couldn’t play. Partly because Spags is a genius come playoffs sure- I’d love to have a better WR unit that what we have now, but the reality is, the move to trade Diggs helps us long term. It may hurt us this season…. But it could also help. Diggs and Brady were not a fit. The moment Brady was named OC, trading Diggs was likely the right move. Maybe that’s more of an indictment on Bradys inability to use him. Maybe not. We’ll see

Just to be clear- You’re saying that Josh Allen is Philip Rivers 2.0? our #1 will be Dalton Kincaid- just like Mahomes #1 was Travis Kelce. Just like Brady’s #1 was Gronk. Just like Nick Foles’ was Zach Ertz. Only difference is Kincaid hasn’t had an opportunity to become great yet. He’ll have the opportunity this season. 8 of the last 12 SB champions didn’t have a 1000 WR- 2023 Chiefs- Rice- 938 2022 Chiefs - Schuster - 933 Yards 2019 Chiefs - Hill - 860 Yards 2018 Patriots - Edelman - 850 Yards 2017 Eagles - Jeffery - 789 Yards 2014 Patriots - Edelman - 972 Yards 2013 Seahawks - Tate - 898 Yards 2012 Ravens - Boldin - 921 yards

That was our biggest game of the season at the time our biggest game was the playoff game vs KC in which he didn’t do anything (yet again vs KC in the playoffs) and had the biggest drop of his career and one of the biggest drops in team history. in this case, the McDermott-way = an NFL team functioning under a salary cap while thinking about more than just the upcoming season. I loved Diggs more than most- I respected his alpha personality and I thought it would help us win a SB. I was wrong. His production and play in the biggest games + his inability to control his emotions was too much for the locker room. His ex teammates aren’t going to dog him. They had a bond with him and respect the man. Josh has publicly stated his love for him and hasn’t said one negative thing about him……yet we now know that there was a lot going on behind the scenes and things had soured. More proof that his teammates are going to be adult about it and keep things pleasant. Some here happen to think that our players saying nice things about an ex teammate = our players are siding with the ex teammate. That’s a very naive way of thinking or simply fueled by their negative aura

I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better

lol, I can’t take credit for that one. Can’t recall the originator -
Definitely don’t care about any rankings

New Pardon My Take with Josh Allen and Blake Griffin
NewEra replied to Toomstone.Part.Duex's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not sure what the nflpa will say about it- but he could really show his love with his next contract extension- a la what Jalen Brunson and Mikal Bridges did for their Nyks. People say athletes never take less money- Those people are fos- the overwhelming majority do not- some do -
How close is Allen to Mahomes if all things were equal?
NewEra replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
Mahomes will likely end his career as the 2nd best, if not the best QB ever. That said- I think Josh would also be in that position if he were to have drafted into Mahomes’ situation in KC- best HC in the league- best play caller in the league- best playoff DC, maybe ever- top 2 TE all time- top 5 DT all time- most unique WR the nfl has ever seen (imo)- top notch GM -
I agree that Conklin should be on over Cowart and Fletcher, but I’d give the nod to Milano. I feel that Milano, at his best an elite player. I thought Conlan was a very good player, but I would never call him great at any point. i think Cowart may have been the best LB the Bills ever had- too bad injuries took him from us. Fletcher- meh- very good LB- seemed to make most of his 150k tackles 5-10 yards downfield. Wouldn’t consider him for the Mt

Bmac- Jordan or Lebron? Keon -Kobe ❤️ ftr- Kobe and LeBron > Kobe- but Kobe’s my guy too. Love that he said that

😂 great Keon slow burn there @Lost

That would certainly be a big surprise. Cutting Edwards would be terrible in any situation- 3M guaranteed. If he wasn’t part of our plan, Beane would likely get a draft pick.
-
And we didn’t have the talent on the DL, especially in ‘20. I don’t think that DL was capable of beating Mahomes and the chiefs. I think it’s been our Achilles heel every time we've faced them in the playoffs.

Not bent out of shape. Just sharing my thoughts on your post with a reply

Also fair- I understand the thought process 💯

I hear ya- I think safe gets us to the playoffs every season and half the battle in the afc nowadays. Tough conference that has to eventually go through KC. Compared to the rest of the NFL, McD has done a great job against Mahomes and reid— minus the playoffs of course, where he’s been injured and abysmal Then again- I’m likely to be on the Ben Johnson hype train again next year if we don’t win the SB. My biggest fear of firing McD is that it’ll likely mean the end of Beane too. Replacing a good HC and a good GM could result in disaster and Pegulas track record in those areas have been horrid minus McB.
-
You and my boy @mrags are who I think of first as Anti-McD. I think McD is a good coach but has had some massive blunders. I’m ok keeping him, but would’ve liked to dump him for Ben Johnson this offseason (but he’s the only coach i thought deserved a shot over McD). We may need him to become a great coach in order to get over the hump. And in that sense, I get why you want him gone 💯. He may never get over the hump but I do think he’s improved over time and has show SOME ability to adapt. I think he’s a safe play at HC but has some upside. I think Beane is a good GM and I thought the last 2 rosters were the best in the league- then Von got hurt- Micah got hurt- Milano- Tre- daquan, Poyer- Benford- Bernard- Phillips- Rousseau all hurt. Who knows the result if a few of those guys that missed the KC game had played. I don’t like the fact that he doesn’t invest more in the WR position and has invested so much at S, RBs and STs. I love that he invests in DL. He just hasn’t done a good job of acquiring the right DL. this offseason reset was inevitable and the fact that Diggs didn’t want to be here really forced his hand. The salary cap is real and kicking more and more money down the line only limits joshs chances down the line. That’s why I’m ok with the reset now. I don’t think we’re that much worse off than last season minus the whole WR1 thing. Diggs’ disappearing act every year playoffs was softens the blow though.

Insinuating I’m anti which one? I doubt anyone would associate me with being either of the above except for you in this thread.
