“So many here”…. You just can’t stop. I’m sure chiefs fans know better. as a huge Aiyuk supporter, I promise he won’t have that kind of efficiency ever again in his career. As good as he is, he’s also playing in a shanahan offense for a team that ran the ball 3rd most % and the 4th highest ypc. Lots of playaction success for Aiyuk.

Rumor is that cleveland is offering cooper +2nd rd + another late rd for Aiyuk and a later rd

Justin Simmons released (now visiting N'awlins)
NewEra replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Pretty sure the QB rating when poyer was targeted was well over 100. He was a step late all season from my recollection. He played ok….but that ranking was ridiculous. Poyer was my guy, but it was clear to me he wasn’t the same player last season. -

Correct, they were not…..yet somehow Poyer got named top 60 player in the nfl by his peers. Not sure how that happened. He was clearly not a top 100 or maybe even 200 player last season. -
Davis has had ball security issues in camp as well. Definitely concerning

I agree that Aiyuk to washjngton makes sense for Washington. Not sure if it makes sense for the niners unless they think Dotson can be a legit threat in their offense. The niners want a good WR in return + pick/s.
-
Agreed…..but I think they’d take on an additional 13-14M in cap if they trade him. Don’t think they can take that on. Dead cap hit is 42.7M this year.

I get it. I think Kincaid can replicate what Kelce did last season. But he hasn’t done it yet….so we’re not allowed to talk about it

Didn’t you know that not one of those WRs previously had 900 yards? Making them KCs worst WR unit in the last 40 years+. how could they win the SB? 🧐

And the Josh allen led Bills couldn’t beat the zach Wilson led Jets on opening day, non playoff jags, the max jones led patriots, the non playoff broncos and were the one of two teams that Philly beat over the last 7 weeks. The other being the giants. Carry on without me

I don’t necessarily disagree. My big issue with deebo is his availability. He’s played the majority of the games but he’s always banged up going back to college. His style of play revolves around being physical and that leads to injury and he’s only getting older. He’ll be 29 when the playoffs start. Given the next 3-4 years, I’d rather have Aiyuk.

If you think that implies that I’m saying losing Watt was THE REASON they lost, you have to figure some things out. not sure the words he’s used, but along the lines of the bills blew the Steelers out. We were up 7 with 10+ minutes left. We came out 21-0 and squandered the lead. They were in the game in the 4th. If they had forced one additional stop they may have won. TJ watt is capable of that. They aren’t as bad as he portrayed them to be

I’m torn- I watch a lot of niner football. He’s a stud- I do think it’ll make them better. I don’t know if it’ll make them champions but I think Chubb will to be close to 💯 come playoffs. Jim Schwartz defense with Myles Garrett. They could possibly take us out Personally- I think the niners should figure out a way to keep him this season and trade deebo next season (because they can’t trade him now due to cap). As a niner fan, I’d be pissed if lynches game plan end in losing Aiyuk because of Deebo’s contract.
-
if you want to look at it that way- that’s your choice of perspective. It’s not just that though- If you think playing 2 quarters vs one opponent is better than playing 1 qtr vs two different opponents I can understand the rationale. I’d rather him see two different defenses

I’m not saying Pittsburgh is the ideal spot. I’m saying that they don’t suck as much as someone said they did. Besides, they’ve already dropped out as they didn’t want to give the niners what they wanted. I agree that Cleveland makes much more sense. Makes more sense for the niners too as cooper would be great on that team imo. Whichever WR they would’ve gotten from the Steelers wouldn’t be nearly as good. Similar to the niners getting Bourne from the Pats (and I really like Bourne). They’d be much better off with Cooper.

I hear what you’re saying, but I’m not sure I want Josh playing an entire half vs the Steelers physical brand of football. I’d rather have 1qtr in each. I doubt he plays this week but I hope he gets a series or 2

Not a lot- but the 2 things that I saw mentioned he has been the predominant 2nd team DT behind Ed and ahead of Carter. Cant remember which podcasts I heard say it but I remember it being said twice because I’ve been a HUGE Carter supporter since pre draft and was hoping he’d come right in and be Ed’s backup and was disappointed when I heard Williams has been ahead of Carter all camp. that said- I still think it’ll be his job come regular season
-
lol- who said they’d beat us? I also said that I didn’t see them as a contenders. But don’t mention that. The typical WEO post. Bold one statement and put words in someone mouth regarding that statement I said that they had a good season with a negative at QB and a terrible OC. Agreed. He’s good and they have a good team- they lack a franchise QB.

Xavier Worthy injured during 1st practice as a Chief
NewEra replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m not 💯happy with our WR right now, but I feel that I could change my mind about that come playoff time. i think that they neglected the position early on in Josh’s career but I also think that he’s added 5 potentially very good-great playmakers over the last 3 off seasons. The books on Kincaid, Keon, Shakir, Samuel, Cook and Davis are still in chapter 1 and 2. Samuel being the outlier in his 8th season…..but in his defense, he’s had straight garbage throwing him the ball his entire career. He never had a chance to flourish before. Enter Josh Allen -
It’s up to Aiyuk at this point. he was talking like he’s be Justin Jefferson if he was given the targets. Ken Dorsey is known to feed one diva that wants the ball. I can’t see him choosing NE

Bass struggling at minicamp (and now at training camp)
NewEra replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Good lord- here we go again……in the kicker thread. -
Copy that. He has the ability to say all of that to the niners- it just doesn’t sound like that’s what he saying.

Say what you want about the Steelers- they went 5-1 in a great division with maybe the worst starting qb in the league. They played the playoff game against us without their entire franchise, TJ Watt. They had the worst OC in the league and now have an OC that fits their persona. They’re much better than you are pretending to know. It’s a much better situation this year. Russell Wilson/fields are clearly better than Mason Rudolph. TJ may actually play in the playoffs. If they replace Dj with a player like Aiyuk, their chances are much better. Do I think they’re a Sb contender? Not so much, but I didn’t think the 18 eagles were either. If Brandon Aiyuk doesn’t want to go there, he won’t. It’s that simple.

Did you notice mason Rudolph lead them to the playoffs last season?
