👍🏻 The biggest difference I see is his ability to gauge the pash rush. I’ve always felt that his MO post snap should be to identify is escape route- even if one isn’t needed. Once he escapes, the defense is at his mercy. Especially now that all of our RBs are so dangerous in the pass game. Too many good options across the board. Someone is bound to get free. he’s better outside the pocket than he’s ever been- kudos to Joe Brady for his play calling yesterday. It was a master class performance

The most meaningful stat is whichever stat best sides with your argument. The ref thing IS a thing, unless you’re a chiefs fan. You’ve been called for ZERO holds in 3 super bowls wins. We’ve seen blatant holds not getting called. we’ve all seen the video of Torrance manhandling Chris Jones this year. Did we get away with a couple holds, maybe. I have seen them. Link? Maybe the refs will allow you guys to hold every play in the playoffs again- if not- I don’t like your chances. one guy makes a post on page one stating that KC may be the weakest of the playoff group- now that’s “a popular mantra”. I haven’t heard much of that other than one post. they just don’t look like a team that’s going to win a Super Bowl. Same can be said for last season this time of year. Ed is going nowhere this offseason- 34M cap hit if traded or cut vs 10M to play for us I’m not sure about Vons dead cap post June 1- but if we lose 14m of space by cutting him (looking at Spotrac), I think he should return. But I thought I read here that the hit is much lower post June 1. AJ is going nowhere- not the greatest player but he’s solid and somewhat cheap considering his position. daquan could see the door if he keeps playing like he has this season. I think Smoot will get 5M+ or so from someone. He was a bargain for us. carter will be a mainstay for the next 3 years. Solomon will hopefully become a contributor Phillips probably won’t get any money elsewhere so maybe he comes back for the minimum or latches on the PS We should probably draft a pass rusher in rd 1 if there’s a nice prospect there

McDermotts scheme has failed for sure….but if defensive lineman win their matchups - schemes look MUCH better. It’s not “possibly”- It’s a fact that our defensive lineman have played poorly in every season ending loss since we’ve been contenders.

It’s both- the talent HAS won in the past- 💯 It has also failed in every playoff loss. You can say that coaching is the reason our defense has failed in the playoffs-and I wouldn’t argue with you- but you must also say that our defensive line hasn’t won in any of our ending losses. The DL not making plays hasn’t been because of our coaches. It’s been because they aren’t winning their 1 on 1’s. They have been getting smacked
