You’re entitled to view her comments as you like. I didn’t see anything that said they’re expecting or want a “huge raise”. they want to be rewarded. Guaranteed money beyond 2022 is a reward. I’m thinking a bump up to 11m-12M could be in order. We aren’t going to pay him more than that…..if we pay him at all. Tough call. There’s a reason we had the #1 ranked D last year. It wasn’t because we had a great DL, we didn’t. It wasn’t because we had great LBs. We didn’t, but they were pretty good though. It wasn’t because we had great corners. We didn’t. Our safeties led our D to its #1 ranking imo and Poyer was stellar the majority of the year. edit: dunno if they extend him either, as you said, there are younger players that need to be resigned, but I think Poyer is worthy of another 10-12M season with the bills after this year

I couldn’t care less about what people say. the only way we will show anyone that the hype is real is by winning the Super bowl. If we don’t, it was a failed season and there is no hype. No one will ever remember Donald missing a game. What people will remember, is the best defensive player in the league wrecking our franchise qB and possibly injuring him. For that reason alone, I really hope that he’s suspended.

His contract is the reason we wouldn’t have to give up assets….while giving up our most important asset going forward…..cap space. So cheap in assets given up. Very expensive in cap space. He’s not going to sign another contract unless of benefits him…..which involves giving him more money while spreading it out over a longer period.
