I hope that it’ll be: Dawkins-McGovern-Morse-Torrance-Edwards (if brown still sucks) or Brown if he improves.

Analyzing 10 years of first round TE production
NewEra replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
It is moving the goalposts when you use first round pick as the premise for your post…… then YOU bring up Mike Gesicki…..and then rebut Kelce and Andrews because they weren’t 1st round picks….. which Gesicki wasn’t either. have fun being you. -

but he’s not a first round pick…. Just like Travis Kelce and Mark Andrew’s…. Which was the point of this thread AND your reply to my rebuttal. -

And either was Mike Gesicki—— the guy that you referenced. This is too funny and just so predictable. Every thread -
Nice to add another red zone threat that’s open even when he’s not. He’s limited, but he served a specific purpose. Hope he makes the team.

why would he discuss that? That would only refute this thread that was made to throw shade at his favorite team -
Some insight on Bills first round and how it went down

Sounds on par for the course. I was thinking it was due to the premise being that Addison was our #1 target which would refute Kincaid being our #1 target all along. but who knows -

Right- but I don’t look just look at 6-7 mocks and watch some YouTube. I don’t claim that my opinion is the gospel. I claim that I have an opinion and will likely never say “well, these guys are the pro’s and know more than I, so it must be good” you can let it play out while also discussing your initial reaction to it. No? -

👍🏻 Agreed with the bolded- I’m ok with the “for the future picks” if they are a premium position. I have major issues when they are drafting for the future at positions that they can fill with a 2-5M contract. And in positions that they invested in the previous season. It’s baffling and makes me think they are throwing things at the wall (while I’m sure there’s more to it). regarding the underlined- I’m willing to wait and see how this works out, but this is a message board where we discuss our likes, dislikes and everything in between. -

They’ve earned the benefit of the doubt…. But do you not have any opinion? You just say “if they like it, it must be good”? I have no doubt they have a plan for the LB position as well. You’re just more confident that it’s something specific. It looks to me like they’re just throwing stuff against the wall with hopes that it sticks. Power in numbers- with hope that one guy will step up and take it. Draft guys that play STs and try to develop them. That said, I’m happy that they didn’t spend a 1st or 2nd on the position, especially in this draft. I just don’t see the path to playing time for both Bernard and Williams- -
Yeah right- that would be terrible. You’d be so annoyed after the first few hours

It’s the day 3 of the draft. This is what we do on message boards. We discuss the draft picks. We share our opinions, projections, predictions and feelings. My initial reaction to this pick was: can he play Mike? If he can, will he be good enough to start this season. I watched and read a ton of scouting reports on him and every other off ball LB. What I had gathered was that he’s best outside as he has no anchor to take on blocks, has serious issues shedding and most importantly- was on the slower side processing and had below average instincts reading the run AND in coverage. It seemed to me, that all he had going for him was speed, length and tackling ability. I was hoping to draft a LB that had a chance to start over the LBs we had. I don’t think that’s an option this year. I’m rooting for all of these kids and for the coaching staff to put this puzzle together. I just don’t see how the prices fit together and they seem redundant- especially for a day 2 pick at non premiums positions. Think motor and moss. Didn’t make sense then. It proved to not make sense years later. -

Except I’m not miserable. I don’t complain about much actually. Im one of the more optimistic posters on the board, but I keep it real when I think they are making a mistake. If the FO makes a move I find questionable, I look for reasoning. If I don’t find the reasoning adequate, I post on message boards and see what others have to say. In this case, both bernard and williams both project to the outside, not the middle. They were drafted on day 2 in back to back years while our best defensive player also plays outside and our GM said the plan is to keep him there. So by Beanes word, I do know how they plan to use him- which leaves a gaping hole at the Mike. based on taking Bernard and Williams in consecutive years rd 3- there is plenty of reason to question wth the plan is. It’s what people do on message boards. Seems to me that we used 2 day 2 picks on non premium position back ups/ ST players. I’m of the opinion that we invest too much into ST units as it is. And here we go again. what do you think the plan is for Bernard and Williams? -

Nfc teams realize they can’t compete with the AFC in the air because there’s only 1 good QB in the NFC (and that QB ran for 13 TDs). Nfc teams look to be going more run heavy when compared to the afc. -
