Ross Tucker ranks NFL Coach’s, places McDermott at #22.
NewEra replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
He has a top 3 QB and has been eliminated by the other top 3 QBs in each of the 3 seasons in which our QB has been elite. 🤷🏻♂️ we were decimated by injuries last season and our team wasn’t good enough in Josh’s first elite season. He flopped 13 secs, a borderline fireable offense, but I thought his track record was good enough to keep him. -

No arguments there. I just don’t see what that has to do with this list being fair. -
I just said why we’d move him. Austin, if he performs well. there aren’t enough cb roster spots. Tre Elam Taron Dane Benford/Austin Neal makes it for ST (sadly) I don’t think our S depth is great ans of now with Damars uncertainty. Our top 3 are great, but who are the guys after them? One died on the field. Another is the worst player on the roster. Another is a ST guy named Zayne. Our top 3 safeties are all free agents at the end of the year. If Damar returns to form, I agree, we’re set. Just not sure that’s going to happen. Benford has 3 years left under contract making the minimum. If he could step in next 2 seasons as a starter and play well, that’s a win win win. I don’t think he’ll be more than CB4 on this team the next 2 years. I would love for Austin to be able to take Neals spot on ST. Neal brings nothing to the table on D imo.

As a bama hater, I’ve always hated Harris. Then he goes to the pats and saves his best games for the Bills. More hate!! that said, I think he’s a perfect compliment to cook. There are better backs for sure, but for the price and the style he plays, I think we hit a home run with his downhill ability. Just stay healthy.

Until proven otherwise? Wth are you talking about? has it been proven that Staley, Smith, McConnell, mcdaniel are better? Please, explain. Thanks in advance. -

Let’s not act like mcdermott didn’t have success without Josh allen. He did. He made the playoffs with a tank team. As if that means nothing. Who’s better, Tua or Tyrod? Who’s better cousins or Tyrod? Both teams had MUCH more talent that McD had in 2017. No comparison. Mariota = Tyrod. I’ll give it a push for QB play. And McD made the playoffs….. smith. Back to back 7-10 records. That deserves to be ahead of mcdermotts 62-35 record? You can’t be serious. I think smith is a good coach and he’s done well considering the talent in his team…. But there’s no way he should be ranked ahead of mcdermott at this point. I agree that mcdermott is on the hot seat this season. Not because he’s not a good coach. But because he’s hasn’t been good enough to coach Josh Allen to a Super Bowl W. do you really think McDermott is should be ranked outside of the top 20? -

2021 being the year in which our OL got destroyed on almost every play? That same game where hill and Kelce went for 22-290-2? There’s a big difference between being “more than good enough to make the SB” and “should have made the Super Bowl”. We had a dam good team that year, but the chiefs were clearly the better team. They handled us easily twice that season. Sure, we could have beaten them, any given Sunday…. But the team that “should have” made the Super Bowl, made the Super Bowl. That wasn’t us. KC was better that year. I agree, we should’ve at least made the AFCCG the following season but our 13 second coaching gaffe ended us. but we still had to beat Cinci. This was the one season I feel it’s ok to say we should’ve made the SB. Last year, I thought we had the best team in the league, but injuries derailed our season. We had no chance with the team we put on the field vs Cinci. -

Should have been to the Super Bowl 2 times? Which two? -

To me, the argument made is why he shouldn’t not be top 10. But not to be top 20. That’s just insane. -

It really is a joke. What’s even more of a joke is that some Bills fans are ok with him being behind these guys that have done nothing. i think mcdermott is closer to 10 than to 20. To have him 22 looks like click bait playing on bills mafias internet prowess. He knows that one ranking will generate its fair share of clicks. -

He made the playoffs with Tyrod Taylor @ QB in a season in which everyone thought we were tanking. Shady and Clay were our most targeted receivers. Zay, Deonte Thonpson, KB, Andre Holmes. That team had a better record than Mike Mcdaniels who had a loaded roster and a better QB. Mike Tolbert.- 289 replies

You think it’s fair that Brandon Staley, Arthur Smith, McConnell and Mcdaniel should be ranked ahead of him? There are more on the list that we can question….. but those 4 guys have no right at the moment- 289 replies

why are you having this conversation? I made a post. My SWF told me that I needed to temper my expectations. I disagree. My hopes and expectations will have no effect on anything. Who’s expecting 140 1200 12? My expectations are that he will be a great player.

Same. I was sad when the video was over. Surprised that came from the Mafia Sports Report. Can’t stand that show. You’re not that dude are you? 🤣 😘

I’m about there too. We can be 1-5. Kc, Philly, Cinci, SF and Buffalo are my top 5 not in any particular order. Each team can be the best on any given Sunday. But we won’t be the best if the weather sucks. Ask Dirty 😉 #NoDome? -
Trent is JACKED! I thought it was Lorax when I saw his triceps. Dorian looked like a specimen Harty looks fast af Kincaid doesn’t run. He “gloats”. Glides+floats. great to see Damar out there running around doing football activities. I couldn’t be happier for the young man.

I’m a hometown fan. If it’s not a Buffalo team, then I’ll root for my favorite players and teams that enjoy watching. I’ll always stick with the Bills and Sabres. With regards to the NBA, it starts in college. I root for Carolina players in the NBA. With Barnes on his way out and (and not being very good rofl) I think my next NBA team will be whichever team drafts Elliot Cadeau in the 2025 draft.

Week 6 after the London trip. -
And I still don’t understand why it’s “needed” to temper expectations. Need would signify that if you don’t do this, then there will be a negative outcome. What is the negative outcome that will arise if I don’t? Your answer is: that I’ll judge the OC? Or put blame on someone? 🤷🏻♂️ that just doesn’t seem like any reason to “need” to do something. Maybe if it had a negative impact on the team…. Like the reality that was spoken of, I could understand. I don’t understand the need when the only negative outcome comes in the fashion of my thoughts

Agree with all but the last paragraph. I’m going to judge everything about bills related just as I do every year. I know where I’ll look first if our offense is lacking. 1st: the OL. If the OL is getting wrecked, it’s tough to do anything with great success. If the OL isn’t terrible and the offense is still 💩 2nd: Dorsey- it’s his offense. It’s his responsibility to make sure it’s firing. 3rd: it’ll most likely be my fault. My expectations clearly caused our sucktitude. If Kincaid isn’t producing but our offense is humming, I won’t be upset. Minus injury, just don’t see how isn’t going to be a key contributor this year and a star in the future.
