I agree. I hope that WR is our pick rd 1 but it really depends on how the board falls. If a stud DL is there, I suspect he’ll be our pick and then we will trade up in rd 2 to get a WR. Beane has no problems trading up for his guy and it’s a deep WR class. We might be able to double dip in rd 2 and 5 and still get 2 good playmakers while adding a cornerstone pass rusher. And let this board erupt with fury

He’s a beast and one of the only slot corners that could play McDs style of D the way he wants it done at the level he’s played it. Injuries were a big scare early in his career. I wasn’t sure how he’d hold up after Landry blindsided him during a preseason game his rookie year. He had me fooled. Absolute stud.

Yeah pretty much sub packages but considering the weather in the non dome stadium vs the Steelers, I think Rapps skill could be used more often than usual.

Nah- He threw the ball just fine vs the pats 2 years ago. Our biggest mistake and the reason we lost the game was because we didn’t throw the ball enough. If we run every play- we might not score a point

I agree that I don’t think he have been difference makers this season, minus a handful of games. That said, I think they could’ve been if they were on different teams and in different schemes. I think both would be up there with the Laportas and Gibbs’ if they had been in Detroit this year and would have excelled more than they did this year if they had been on other teams that used them more

I’m thinking we should sign Rodger Saffold from the Browns PS and put him in the slot. Have him run 3 yards curls, box out his defender, catch, then lean backwards for a 1-3 yards. Guaranteed 4 yards every play.

I disagree. Bigger WR had the smaller CB apple on his back. Just turn and body him out. If he would’ve done that, it was a perfect pass. Low and only where the War could get a hand on it

I think that will be the case starting next season. As kincaids biggest fan, he needs to put on some muscle. When he gets hit, he’s gets smashed. Hasn’t been seriously injured, but it looks like he really feels every one of those hits. If that last TD pass was to Kincaid instead of knox, I don’t know if he’d have the strength to power through and into the endzone. He pretty special after the catch in general, but adding more strength will get him to the level of play we’re all hoping for. jmo

Zero chance of him becoming our DC. He’s blitz heavy and usually runs a 3-4. If McDermott stays- I want him calling our defensive plays. I see no need for a new dc. Promote Bobby Babich and let him continue to learn how to call plays from mcdermott. McD had a tough stretch middle of the season but he’s been figuring things out recently.
