  1. Rogers is proof that you need to pair your QB with a good coach as well, or you can only go so far. Just like Indy in Manning's days, their "score a lot but don't field a defense and don't have a running game" approach will win you 12 or 13 games in the regular season and send you packing once the playoffs roll around. Unfortunately for Rogers, those regular season wins keep his HC employed.
  2. hopefully Rosen hits the weights a bit or NFL defenders are going to crush him. Then again, Brady basically looks like a skeleton these days so maybe he just needs to do yoga and drink liquid kale...
  3. wow did this guy fall off quickly... just a couple years ago he was unstoppable
  4. If the Patriots traded for Rosen I have visions of Rosen putting little frustrated emoticons on his twitter page while Bill and Tom do battle over the witch doctor (great anme BTW!) peddling his pills and drinks in the locker room...
  5. The biggest issue is probably that he has to pay the "McCarthy fine" where his first TD every game goes toward covering for his coach's stupid decisions and inadequate game plans. McCarthy essentially starts every game he coaches with -7 points.
  6. I predict that he becomes a likeable bust. Not a lazy frat boy like Leinhart who decided to spend his prep time in the hot tub with the coeds, but a guy who works hard, has a few nice moments, but never really makes it. I hope I'm wrong, though, because if he is good he will be fun to watch.
  7. Rogers and Peyton Manning have so much in common. Both carried dreadful rosters for most of their careers, which has the more damaging side effect of propping up mediocre to awful head coaches. Caldwell and McCarthy are one and the same.
  8. Green Bay has wasted his career for the most part. The coaching staff and roster are awful. Without him they are a bottom feeder. With him they win 11-12 games. People like to say Rogers is the best QB in the league. Sadly, that team has pretty much blown its chance to do something special with his career.
  9. I hope for at least one MNF/SNF game at home... Seriously, this is getting dumb as this point. The Raiders will be on every other week, and teams like Tennesee will have multiple prime time games.
  10. I will forever love Nick Foles and Doug Pederson for their service to all non-Ne NFL fans!
  11. I hope this happens, and I really hope NE trades up for a QB as well, since that would mean the end of their dynasty is closer than we thought. That team is literally about Brady and Belichick. The minute one goes they drop right off. Nothing else they do matters much because BB has the system and Brady is a machine that just goes out and throws really accurate 5 yard passes to the perfect spot 99% of the time. Once that stops, their average at best roster is going to catch up.
  12. That is great for everyone, and pretty cheap for the Bills
  13. I'm not worried about NE getting another QB in some sort of trade up Either way, once Brady and Belichick are retired they will just be a good to great team, but beatable. Sort of like Green Bay or New Orleans. Always decent to good, with a few great seasons in there, but not inevitable every season.
  14. This whole thing has become weird and a little scary... I hope he gets some help, because he seems unhinged.
  15. On the subject of Rudolph, I really enjoyed his episode with (Mariucci?) on NFL Network where he broke down plays and recited them. He seemed intelligent, while also having a sense of humor.
  16. I think we might be surprised at how one or more of the QBs slides a bit... Teams are going to be sitting there looking at amazing prospects at other positions. Do they take the 3rd or 4th best QB or a potential pro bowl caliber DE or G, or CB or S?
  17. Maybe they send him to Atlanta as a sympathy gift for that Super Bowl
  18. Nobody is REQUIRED to give you a job. What's the remedy? Force a team to sign him? Then it will be force a team to start him, and then soon force opposing defenses to mask the fact that he's terrible by laying off him in games... Sounds like a NE signing to me
  19. This exact 3 way trade has been proposed other places as well, so it's not so far-fetched... I think it would be a great move for all 3 teams, and I hope it happens! Also, it could explain the Bills visit to see Darnold.
  20. players declare for the draft, i.e. essentially say "I am entering and accept the terms and conditions"
  21. guarantee he will be on the Patriots... Their run, like our winter, will literally never end.
  22. I'll admit not googling it and just going on my iffy memory. My perception is that he has missed significant time twice now due to collarbone injuries, but I'm not near a computer to check on it.
  23. IMO Rogers is over-rated. For as much as everyone likes to say he's the "best QB in the league" his team doesn't get very far. And he snaps his collar bone every 18 months and misses most of the season.
