Josh Allen already impressing in Buffalo
TheFunPolice replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
camp should be fun this year! Let's keep the positive vibes going! -
I agree with those who said arm strength is a huge plus down there... The ability to get the ball to the open spot faster is essential. CBs are so quick that you might only get half a second before they close. If you can put the ball there in time it's a TD rather than an incomplete or INT

What are YOUR expectations if Allen wins the start?
TheFunPolice replied to #34fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My expectations for the discussion on the radio and this board: if and until Allen becomes a consistently good QB people will divide themselves into sides and attack each other like rabid wolves, with each thread or WGR show devolving into the pros and cons of Tyrod Taylor. My expectations for him if he starts: They will run the ball a LOT and protect him as much as possible to build his confidence. -
Incognito's Retirement? [update: Now Released]
TheFunPolice replied to Spiderweb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I doubt he gets any type of big $$, and in fact will probably end up getting less than his pay cut here would have paid him. Maybe he figures by keeping his bonus from the pay cut contract, and adding in his new deal he will come out ahead. I see a pretty low market for his services, though. Especially after his recent behavior on twitter. -
EASY NOW! It's only been about 18 months... These Luck stories always start out "He's THROWING AGAIN!" and then the "yeah butts" come and it turns into he's doing the throwing motion, 1/4 speed, with an empty hand, 3 times a day. I don't expect Luck to ever be the same, but I hope I'm wrong because a 100% healthy Luck provides another barrier to NE getting to the SB.

Murph + Tasker, new show "One Bills Live"
TheFunPolice replied to KDIGGZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At least Murph isn't coughing uncontrollably every 45 seconds. I was worried something was seriously wrong with the guy. It went on for months it seemed. It's just not great radio. I would rather listen to Lorenzo Alexander and Ruben Brown or just rotate 2 different players (past or present). -
Pegula kids firing back at Buffalo News
TheFunPolice replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What if the Pegulas' cat snuck onto the computer after their dog left the browser window open and posted that to bring heat on the dog, most likely to take attention away from some claw marks on the furniture or some chewed up houseplants? -
Pegula kids firing back at Buffalo News
TheFunPolice replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
IF the Buffalo News was so respected nationally, why is every Bills story broken by a national reporter? -
It's one of the things I thought about soon after... In this climate these things blow up into epic controversies overnight. Let's hope they did everything right in this matter. Richardson was a well-respected, old guard owner who had a heart transplant and was a nice story. Then it was all over in like a week. So I'm a bit nervous. Granted, he was the owner and there was a long pattern of behavior, but Russ being so high up opens up some issues that could be problematic.
-
I don't have a link but the Marrone story I heard was that he planned to get the Pegulas to bring in Polian, who would have fired Whaley immediately and worked to get Russ out the door ASAP as well. It was a power play. When it failed Marrone had no choice but to quit. How could he come back after trying to get bosses 2 levels up from him fired? Take it for what it's worth as they say.

Thinking about it a bit more, maybe the Pegulas acted as swiftly as they did to avoid this idiot's behavior coming back on them, since things like this can quickly blow up and get out of control This makes sense... Plus, a married man with a family making advances toward other women is a pathetic excuse for a man in my opinion.

Yeah, I get it. Lots of liability issues. Plus it's just gross to act like that. My point was just that it must have been more than just Russ was dating a female employee for the reaction to be as it was. But maybe not. Maybe that alone was enough. But no "thank you for all your years of service" line in the announcement?
