  1. Tyrod has won 3 offseason championship rings already!
  2. How many of us, if we got a $12 million check TODAY would continue doing exactly what we are doing right now in terms of work/hours? Once going to work becomes purely a choice things change. I know I would be home a lot more and not spending 10-12 hrs a day working.
  3. every time I read about how a player or coach spends all day every day studying film and preparing I wonder how much of that is actually necessary... 12 hours is not necessarily 4 hours better than 8. The law of diminishing returns has to come in somewhere
  4. sorry... I should have been more specific but I meant NFL passing yards
  5. LOL at the "schedule release show" idea... By the time the show airs we'll know the entire schedule
  6. I'm just here to make sure everyone has a good time and doesn't get too excited...
  7. for once, every international game looks like it could be interesting! 4 PM Bills games are the BEST in my opinion... You still have the whole day to get things done around the house, then you can enjoy the game at 4. 1PM feels like it takes up the whole day.
  8. Mine is passing yards. Here's my reasoning. I cannot think of a QB who throws for a ton of yards who was not at least a decent NFL starter. If you throw for a ton of yards, that means you are moving your team down the field. The offense is working. Things are happening. Plays are being made in the passing game. All of that means you have a foundation to build on. If it's a Carson Palmer type situation where the guy throws for 300+ all the time but also 3 INT you can try to work on that ans cut those picks down with coaching. At least the guy has proven able to move the sticks and get skill positions involved in the game. Stafford is a lot like this too. the guy throws for a ton of yards but also turns it over a bit too much. Lots of bad QBs had a great completion %. Think trent with the Bills (he forever gets the lower case for prancing out of bounds without a care in the world on a 4th down play with the game on the line in GB). Lots of Bad QBs have thrown for a surprising number of TD. Blake Bortles was right behind Tom Brady for the 2016 season in TD passes. But he stinks. I always come back to yards, because it means the QB is playing the game. His job is to distribute the ball and move the team down the field, and yards are proof that he is doing that. What is YOUR #1 QB performance metric?
  9. The Darnold/Stafford comparisons make some sense to me... Stafford throws for a billion yards but also turns it over a lot. I think coaching can correct that a bit, though.
  10. Alright! Everyone disperse! By order of the Fun Police!
  11. Just wait until Baker rolls into Foxborough, strolls right up to Brady and tells him that it's now time for the Baker Mayfield Method and to hit "hit the golf course, old man!" LOL
  12. Watson was pretty amazing... The first time he played was a bit of a clunker, then he put up 19 TD and almost 2,000 yards in 6 games. That is pretty damn good!
  13. I was listening to Sirius NFL Radio the other day and they were talking about how, if you draft Jackson, you need to build an entire offense around him. Then it hit me: the Bills are in the PEFECT spot to do that. There are almost no established offensive pieces and we have a brand new OC. The Bills will be building an offense from the ground up pretty much no matter what. They could easily build one around Jackson if they so choose.
  14. Instead, you could meet a girl at the coffee shop... Cute, smart, into paranormal TV shows, does yoga and like veggies but will also go out with you to grab a burger... Wait, what are we talking about again? Lol
  15. maybe the Bills are only willing to push the chips to the center of the table for one guy (Darnold) Otherwise, it's close enough to make a more modest trade to #6 or #7 and take one of the other guys they see as the next tier?
  16. crazy thought, but what if the Jets do want to get in on the action, seeing as they (possibly) want Mayfield and think they could drop a few spots and still get him while recouping some draft capital? Could the Jets and Broncos trade spots? BUF: Darnold CLE: Allen DEN: Barkley NYG: Chubb NYJ: Mayfield
  17. Foles just proves Jeff Fisher's magic touch... he can turn anyone or anything mediocre... Mister 8-8 got his hands on the poor SOB and it took him years to recover! LOL That said, there are worse fates than competing for another Super Bowl as a backup on a great team then cashing in huge in free agency.
  18. Josh Allen... I just don't get the hype at all. Lamar Jackson is my 2nd choice, mostly because he seems like an all or nothing type prospect. Could be amazing, or could be bad.
  19. If I had to go out a bit more and rank my top 5 (non QB) positions: LB (can move all over the field, and if he's the GOAT he can cover the TE, get to the QB, and stop the run) DE (as many have said, a Bruce/Reggie type can cause havoc that few others can) S (a truly great safety makes many defenses click) K (a few have said it, but if he's the GOAT he probably hits 60 yarders which makes your scoring range a lot larger) TE (the GOAT at TE would be better than Gronk, who is already unstoppable and a matchup nightmare)
  20. As I mentioned, he is one of my favorite players of all time. He was amazing when he was on his game. Still, as great as Barry was, the Lions probably would have won just as much with a guy one tier lower... like Emmitt Smith
  21. If the Bills can't or don't want to do this trade up, they could always move up twice and take 2 players in round 1. Package 12 and something to move up to 7 or 8 to take a QB Package 22 and something to move up a few spots for a LB, DL or OL Or even drop down from 22 and pick up a couple picks
  22. Scenario: You can draft the greatest (non QB) player at his position of all-time. Which position do you pick, and why? For me, this is a toss up between DE and LB. I think most offensive positions are too dependent on the work of others, while a Bruce Smith or Lawrence Taylor type player is going to cause pain and misery regardless of what the other guys on defense do. One of my favorite players of all time was Barry Sanders, yet as great as he was once the playoffs came teams could shut him down. When it all comes down to it, I think I would take the greatest LB of all time. It's a lot harder to neutralize him, and if he's the GOAT I can move him all around the defense... Outside, inside, on the line... My DE can be triple blocked or accounted for, although the greats still get theirs. It's a tough call but I go linebacker. Thoughts?
  23. Big money WRs are almost never worth it. Draft them, get your 4-5 seasons out of them, then cut bait when they want huge $$ and repeat the process. Same with RBs. Unless you have the second coming of Jerry Rice there's no reason to pay big $$ for a WR. You can find a RB in the later rounds of the draft or pretty cheap in free agency who can provide you 90% of what your star RB can.
  24. Maybe it's just the powder blue uniforms... he seems skinny to me in the photo that seems to accompany every Rosen article online
