  1. The entire thing is voluntary. There are other options for playing pro football, such as the CFL and arena league. If want to make big $$ playing pro football you DECIDE and VOLUNTEER to enter the draft. Most players could care less where they are drafted because it means they are in the club and will never have to worry about money again if they are smart with it.
  2. Every player drafted tomorrow SIGNED UP FOR IT willingly. Nobody is being "forced into service." Most players don't care where they are drafted, because the NFL is one big elite club.
  3. draft a guard and a CB lots of holes... LOL Honestly though, Rosen has grown on me throughout the process, and Baker "Ric Flair" Mayfield has fallen a bit in my eyes
  4. This X 1000 UNLESS Beane truly loves Rudolph or Jackson and knows he can sit there at 12 and just take either. Then it makes sense.
  5. Well, it would be a way to make sure that you get a guy, unless both are busts. If you end up with 2 good ones you profit from the pick, since you'll get more than 1 1st for a great young QB. It would be cool to see.
  6. could be Dorsey finally told Hue, who ran right to his buddies in the press, knowing he's on the way out anyway... EXCEPT IT WAS THE CLASSIC "RAT TRAP."
  7. Beane putting out smoke to flush out whoever wants Allen. They get desperate, trade up and grab Allen, which accomplishes a few things: 1) a competitor over spends 2) a QB needy team partners up with a QB you don't want anyway, leaving you one less competitor for your guy 3) you gauge what is going on
  8. PERFECT! Giants won't be tempted to go QB now, pushing everyone down a notch. I still think it's Jackson, which intrigues me, but I would love a trade up just for the excitement.
  9. I can completely believe that he told you that, but I wonder how the Bucs would know who the Bills like. Beane could just be spreading disinformation.
  10. how do you define "blueprint" a lie can still be the truth, the truth a lie, and a trade made
  11. I was listening to NFL Radio on Sirius and the guest was saying that some team would have to totally revamp its offense and build around Jackson... I literally got chills as it dawned on me: THIS IS THE PLAN! The Bills have virtually nothing built on offense. Everyone will be new. They will be the team. Jackson will be their man at 12. Beane is trying to get teams to trade up and take other QBs. I predict they take Jackson.
  12. I was sitting there in the car one morning last week on the 33 staring at the concrete walls and wondering if I was ever going to get to work, and suddenly I heard that on NFL Radio and I literally got the chills, like "OH MY GOD THAT'S THE PLAN!" So I'm going with the chills for my prediction: Lamar Jackson will be a Bill at 12
  13. I'm looking forward to drinking some barley sodas, having some pizza and wings, and enjoying seeing where these players go. So to me, it's a lot of fun and I like learning about the incoming class because I don't watch college football
  14. True... these things do take time. I still listen every day at lunch!
  15. my final QB "big 6" board: Rosen Mayfield Darnold Rudolph Jackson Allen
  16. True, but both of them are used to being the guy talking, and it's tough to listen to. Donald Jones was really good at filling in the gaps and checking Murph a bit when necessary. I thought he was really good on the show. Tasker, although I love the guy as a player, is not easy to listen to. Just my take.
  17. I'm not advocating it, but every time I hear someone on NFL Radio or WGR talk about how you would have to totally build an offense around Jackson I just get this strange feeling, given the fact that the Bills basically have no offense in place right now. It's a blank slate at most positions.
  18. BREAKING NEWS: Browns owner Jimmy Haslam and GM Dorsey have been relieved of their duties this morning by head coach Hue Jackson. Jackson has called a press conference for 3PM EST to explain his shocking decision, so close to the draft...
  19. Tasker and Murph are too similar in their typical roles calling games. Both are used to being the guy talking when they are on. Think about it: if you see Tasker on TV, he is talking. Murph is used to being the play by play guy. Donald Jones made a much better partner for Murph than Tasker will I think. It can be a little hard to listen to these 2, but maybe it gets better with time.
  20. Hue has now come out and said that he LOVED Brady back in his draft, and would have taken him in the 4th round, but was over ruled.
  21. How much worse off would teams be if they did that? Serious question.
  22. Kareem Hunt was pick #86 in the 3rd round a year ago... His first NFL game was helping to pummel NE in NE in prime time for 140+ yards. He ended the season with over 1300 yards rushing and 8 TD Alvin Kimara was a huge part of the Saints offense. Another 3rd round pick last year. NO WAY I draft a RB in round one. It's just dumb.
  23. Dorsey has to keep Hue around to appease the owner, but now that he ahs the job he is going to treat him like crap and fire him the first chance he gets. The owner can't choose the 1-31 coach who just went 0-16 over the new GM who just helped build KC into a solid team. Dorsey knows he'll get his way. Worst case scenario for Dorsey is the Browns go 8-8 or so, making firing Hue more difficult. Thus the need to embarrass him and get him to act out as he typically does.
  24. if this keeps up Hue might have to walk right into the GM's office and fire him. This is the guy who tried to win a power struggle with ownership in Oakland.. LOL
  25. Most NFL GM's don't have a great track record either. Belichick's drafts have been so-so at best (thankfully) so that team is pretty thin outside of QB and their robot TE
