  1. cold, perpetual gloom type weather But no wind it looks like, which is really the key. Temps in the high 20's + no real wind is no big deal
  2. The last thing most of these platforms want is a 1-time transaction. They want your credit card on file, being charged every month. Depending on the source, 25-30% of people who take advantage of the free or $1 streaming months never cancel. Some might just be hooked and love the service, but most probably either forget or figure maybe they'll watch it someday so they don't cancel. Meanwhile... $4, $4, $4, $4, (price hike) $6, $6, $6, $6 (price hike) $9.99, $9.99, $ 9.99, $9.99 Hey, do we still have that Snow Owl streaming service? We DO! Awesome! There's that NFL game on! I admit it, I'm one of them. I did the $1 Peacock trial just to watch Dolphins/Chiefs, then cancelled a few weeks later (it was easy to do). This year rolls around and I want to watch Packers/Eagles, so I reactivate (also very easy to do). After that, I was like "it's fall... maybe there will be something on there... there's going to be a playoff game in a few months anyway (at least I thought)...."
  3. I posted it in another thread, but I see the game as being a lot like last night's Lions/Vikings game, where it was within a couple points for a long time then broke open and ended up lopsided. Here's my scoring summary prediction: Broncos 7 Bills 0 Broncos 7 Bills 3 Broncos 10 Bills 3 Broncos 10 Bills 10 Broncos 10 Bills 13 Broncos 10 Bills 16 Broncos 13 Bills 16 Broncos 13 Bills 23 Broncos 13 Bills 30 Broncos 13 Bills 33 FINAL: Bills win 33-13
  4. I think this game might look a lot like last night's Lions/Vikings game, where it's close for a long time then ends up lopsided. Bills 14-10 lead early in the 3rd quarter but final score Bills 31 Broncos 13
  5. I barely paid attention to the game yesterday, so I can understand a young guy not being as locked in as he should be. It happens (not that you excuse it or encourage it, but also we shouldn't overreact). Just watch how different teams play once the playoffs arrive. Every player on every team can play, and with a trip to the SB on the line you get a different level of effort. Same with the NHL: Playoff hockey is a different sport.
  6. Rams over Vikings Rams are really good, and Vikings are the NFC version of the Steelers: good but JV (to use Tomlin's analogy). Every year a team racks up a bunch of wins and goes 1 and done, and I think it's the Vikings this year. Steelers want to be something they aren't. They want to glare and grit their teeth and do the tough guy thing, but they cannot run the ball at all and eventually their defense collapses. Ravens are exactly what the Steelers want to be: tough defense and a running game that will bowl you over.
  7. No staff is perfect, but it seems like every time a guy goes down with injury the next guy is able to play, until we had to resort to calling retired guys back from their vacation. I was pleasantly surprised by Andreesen's play, and hopefully he grows into a long-term role on the team!
  8. The Browns had to stick with their HC because of Watson. They literally cannot get out of the Watson deal for 2 more seasons, and Stefanski is willing to lose the locker room to play the guy and please ownership by taking the flak for it. Someone had to pay, cause "we have high standards!" and stuff, but no new HC going in there was going to want anything to do with being saddled with Watson. So they are stuck with the HC and the QB for 1-2 more seasons. And I love it! For one thing the Browns were once one of those potentially dangerous AFC teams, and this takes them off the board for a couple more seasons. Great defense, strong running game, some weapons on offense... All useless as long as Watson is there. Also, this is proof Karma exists. After the way the Browns structured that contract and gave the league's first totally guaranteed contract to a guy like Watson, this is exactly what they deserve. It's Sabres levels of misery around there right now.
  9. If Rex Ryan doesn't get the Jets job (which I think he will) that would be the place to go, if they want him. Pretty much guaranteed to win games with Burrow if you can just fix the D
  10. pretty good lineup of games! Only "meh" game is the Texans/Chargers, and that's just because the Texans top 2 WR are out with injury
  11. I think Glenn earned himself the New Orleans job last night. That was a dominating performance by a banged up D, and also evidence of just how much Anzalone means to the Lions scheme.
  12. One thing you have to give this staff credit for: they can find and coach LBers and DBs seemingly everywhere Very rarely does a LB or DB come in, spend serious time here, and not develop into a player.
  13. I know the game isn't technically over but at this point you're risking injury if you're the Vikings Now Darnold is limping
  14. My dream of Will Levis playing for Mayo is not looking good
  15. In Squid Games voice: Atlanta Falcons... Eliminated
  16. Bucs are so inconsistent. Offense looks unstoppable at times and awful other times
  17. Oilers uniform is one of the best in the league
  18. Nice to see Cook get the TD! Not happy about missed XP
  19. Not sure on that... Not that I'm a huge Ryans fan but injuries destroyed them this year but he's still 2/2 making the playoffs. If Lefleur was Bills coach he'd be calling QB draw runs for Allen in today's game.
  20. Lefleur. He's the most overrated coach in the league. He made mean cappuccinos for Mcvay and Shanahan though!
  21. MNF playoff game always seems to be the "why is this a playoff game?" Matchup
  22. Bucs at Vikings is not even possible Bucs would be division champs if they get in, Vikings would be #1 seed if they won their division and therefore not play next week
  23. One SNF I heard Collinsworth say "we saw that in practice" after a trick play for the 50th time over the years and it hit me All it would take is a media or production guy spilling secrets. Obviously the big name guys wouldn't risk it but there's a lot of people around and NE got caught filming practices so who knows what else they were up to What are the chances that everything they did to cheat was caught? Couple cheating with many terrible opposing coaches or "golly, it's an honor to lose to you guys!" Types and you have a dynasty. This is why I say Peyton is the GOAT. Going 3-1 in the AFC Championship game vs Brady and NE is incredible.
  24. Broncos are no joke They just went to overtime against a desperate Bengals team with Burrow playing some of the best football in the league. They should have beaten KC already. Payton is no joke and that is a tough team. All that said, it's the playoffs! There are few easy outs because the AFC was so bad for so long that most of the great young QBs ended up in this conference This ain't the Patriots dynasty AFC where Peyton Manning and the Ravens defense were your only hurdles and often played each other because NE was almost always #1 seed since the AFC East was so laughably inept
