What will your over reaction to Monday's Jets - Bills game be?
eball replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
I won’t have one. In fact, I’ll probably stay away from the board for a couple of days. -
@TH3 gotta get the papers, get the papers…

YTTV provides programming based upon your physical location, even if your “home” address is elsewhere. You can travel and access your subscription but you get the local channels based upon where you are physically located unless you have a true GPS spoofer on your device.

It only took a neurological disaster for Tua to make McDaniel realize his job is to protect the players. At least he figured it out.
-
It's so cute how you hate him... 😂
-
Yes, we already know you are hoping the favored Bills can "just keep it close."
-
I think you're still suffering from Roger Saffold flashbacks. I think that Y2 of Kromer plus McGovern and Torrence plus a healthy Brown plus a trimmed down Dawkins = a much improved OL. As long as we focus on quick hitting passing routes, use the slot, and commit to the run game we will be fine. Josh has to put hero ball on hold for a game and not look for the big play until after he has already set the Jets up.

Since KC lost to an NFC team, I think it is pretty much common knowledge that they have actually improved their playoff positioning.
-
Which just about nobody would do. They'd kick the point and go to OT.

Wrong analysis. If up one and you score a TD in the 4th quarter you absolutely go for two, because the TD itself puts you up 7 and no team coming back is going to go for two instead of kicking the PAT to tie. If you get the 2-pointer you’ve sealed the game by going up 9. There were two really bad 4th down decisions in that game. The first was Campbell punting from the Chiefs’ 40 on 4th and 3, and the second was Reid going for 4th and 25.

What are you laughing at @ScottLaw? Did you watch the same game?
-
Mahomes’ receivers didn’t do him any favors, and the pick 6 wasn’t on him, but he was inaccurate and had poor ball placement all night. That’s just truth.

Joe Burrow huge extension 5 years $275 million now highest paid QB

Are people really worried about Josh after this? That dude wants a “fair” deal but he is not about squeezing every dime he can out of his football career. He’s a smart guy with a good family. He knows he is set for life and he wants to win championships. The only pressure on Josh will be from agents and players who don’t want him to accept less than market value. -
Well that made things interesting

He’s cute but what’s your point?

LOL so now the goal for the Bills — the favorite in this game — is to “keep it close?” Dude, get me some of what you’re smoking! 😂

Is this Bills team better than the 2020/2021/2022 versions?
eball replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, duh. We won’t know how they compare until after the season. But this is a thread about what we think will happen, and I think the Bills’ best 6 pass catchers in 2023 (4 WRs and 2 TEs) will be better than their best 6 pass catchers were in 2020 (4 WRs, 1 TE, and a gadget guy). -
Totally agree. He's a really likable dude. Burrow, on the other hand, has a punchable face.

That's a great question, but requires a little more depth. In 2020 the top 6 Bills pass catchers (Diggs/Beas/Davis/Brown/Knox/McKenzie) caught 331 passes for 4129 yards. Last year Diggs/Davis/Knox combined for 204/2782. Do I think the combination of Sherfield/Harty/Kincaid will exceed 127 receptions and 1347 yards? You bet I do. -

Brown had 1K in 2019. In 2020 the ghost of John Brown had fewer yards than rookie Davis. -
Funny and largely accurate. I’m not a guy who blames officiating and I always roll my eyes at those who think refs or the league “have it out for them” but there is a very vocal contingent of such conspiracy theorists. With Boger in particular, though, I often found myself shaking my head at his calls, even when they had nothing to do with the Bills.

Hate to say it but I think the Chiefs win (and cover). The Lions were a nice story last year and do appear to be a legitimate playoff contender going into this season, but they haven’t been in this situation before. Going to KC for the NFL opener against the defending SB champs is a huge step up, and rarely do teams meet that challenge the first time they experience it. I don’t care that Kelce may not play and they don’t have Jones. Mahomes is still Mahomes and I don’t see a Detroit defense that will shut him down. I really, really hope I’m wrong. Would love to see KC saddled with an L this early.

LOL now the 2020 WR room was “great” — ok. Diggs and Beasley were great. A rookie Davis had 599 yards and John Brown had 458. -

I said at least equal. The WR room is deeper now for sure. Beasley was great, but 2023 Davis is better than 2020 Davis and I guess I'm thinking overall "pass catchers" rather than simply WRs. Knox and Kincaid tip the scales. -
I was reading an article about the rules changes this season and one blurb near the end caught my eye...Jerome Boger retired. I don't know about the rest of you, but I always thought he was a terrible referee, particularly in the realm of b.s. roughing the passer penalties. Anyway, here is the article.
