  1. I don't love him - but no comp pick makes it a bit appetizing tbh.
  2. I'll go brandin cooks. Not a huge dude, but still a fantastic deep threat - only 29 even though he's been around forever. He's better than any of the free agents, and can play inside and out. Probably not gonna cost too much trade wise either.
  3. I think the goal is to bring in a vet who can compete with him for snaps. Be it Agholor, Jones, Slayton etc. Also options for trade like Cooks. I'd also like to see someone drafted in the mid-round area like a Tillman or Mingo. Get some serious size and athleticism on the outside, and can bring them along slowly. Diggs - Vet - Davis - Rook Slot - Shakir, Mckenzie (im ok with moving on from him but he's under contract, cheap, knows the offense)
  4. I mean... You fancy yourself a super bowl contender in 2020. 1st round - you get a QB despite having rodgers. Aiyuk went 1 pick beforehand - but this was a LOADED WR draft. Higgins and Pittman were the next 2 off the board. Has to be somewhat frustrating to see your team use a premium pick on your replacement. 2nd round - You draft Dillon.. Despite having a feature back in Jones, and a power back in jamaal williams. Dillons a pretty good player, but why? Some solid linebackers and offensive linemen who they could have had. It's like you're drafting to piss off your starters. The only issue i see is... you drafted him in 2020. You burned through 3 years of rookie contract. You already have to extend him basically.
  5. They pay the ones they have a bit less, but they also pay their kicker a bit more. They also have one of the best special teams coaches in the business so they're a bit more content to use young players (they also had a ton of draft picks). They do still carry burton and bush who were veteran special teams only players. I'm all for eliminating paid ST only guys for the most part - i do think that it's worth having 1 or 2 vets though. Jones is pretty cheap, and a captain. I'd probably keep him. Did Hodgins outplay Kumerow at any given point in time? Kumerows issues this year were injury related, not as though he was a particularly bad player. He was also a plus blocker vs. hodgins in additiona to special teams ability.
  6. Maybe he should take some WWE bumps
  7. I don't think having a top 10 back does anything to move the needle for me if over the course of a season you can't out-perform timeshare backs who make considerably less money, and cost considerably less draft capital.
  8. He can definitely hit some home runs, has some wheels, and in a sort of "single game" mindset he is a definite impact player. However, if I side-by-side his numbers vs. singletary/cook - did he do anything better? Barkley: 295/1312, 10 TDs, 4.4 YPC, 76/57 for 338 and 0 TDs. Cook/Singletary: 266/1326, 7 TDs, 4.98 YPC, 84/59 for 460 and 2 TDs.
  9. I don't want Barkley - i'd want a better player.
  10. Yes - especially because i'd probably like 2-3 OL, a 1T nose, a WR, a S, adding a 6-7 rounder in addition can maybe get you a cheap running back. I've written it a few other places, but I'd guess Benford. He's got size, he isn't super fast, decent in man but is handsy, better in zone, heady player, good tackler. Seems like a natural shift tbh.
  11. It's the same when diggs like... slides down and no one hits him. Opposing fans are like "CRUSH HIM!!!" and its like... there's a good chance they're friends. You won't hesitate to hit the guy, its football after all, but you don't want to hurt people. Talking smack is part of the game, i think its a bit lame to do it post-game and to call out a penalty call. Call out a play you made? Sure.
  12. Financially if you have similar grades you have to take the WR. I don't think there's a situation where i take a running back in the first round anymore. Too many injuries. Maybe someone like CMC who can sort of flex into another position? But I'd still rather have a WR. Rookies are all about the value you can extract on the rookie deal. That is lessened at the RB position due to their average contract being considerably smaller. Etienne lost a year on his deal. Barkley lost a year on the rookie deal. CMC. etc. Also - Everyone is all about the potential of Breece Hall, but look at Cook's numbers side by side and they're... SO similar. Running back shouldn't even be on the radar.
  13. I mean... He isn't going to be a #1 option for anyone at this point.
  14. They already picked dorsey - and brought in Joe Brady to probably inevitably move into the role should dorsey succeed and get a HC job. So he was right to think this.
  15. I think they lose mckinnon and CEH gets a role back as the pass catching back. They lose JuJu and Hardman, but Toney and Moore probably move into the top 3 - and they have a lot of picks to add some talent to that group. They could also dump MVS if they want to change it up further. Brown and Wylie are gone, but they can probably bring wylie back for relatively cheap. To me it comes down to Brown or Clark. All those picks add a ton of depth for them too - they need defensive linemen and pass rushers, OL depth, WR depth, a post-kelce TE plan, backup QB. Even with all those needs and depth needs they still probably have too many picks so i expect them to move around on day two to get some guys they want.
  16. He definitely had a qb sneak in that game where he was stood up at the line by chris jones of all players, and pushed him for a first down.
  17. Right - has Herbert done much more than Carr, Cousins, Geno, Goff, or Tua? No, not really.
  18. Yeah i just don't see it with Herbert. He basically runs a mahomes offense - minus the majority of the wow plays. He doesn't break the pocket and scramble and turn lemons into lemonade. It's just a ton of short passes, and he's worse than mahomes and burrow at them. His sack% isn't amazing for how quick the ball is out, his td% was way down, Y/A down, AY/A down. They don't run the ball at all so all the additional yards come with a ton of additional attempts (almost 700 - just behind brady). His intended air yards per pass attempt was 6.4 - which is tied for 2nd lowest in the league.
  19. It's a recency bias. He threw for 133 yards in london with 2 picks and took 2 bad sacks in a loss to Denver. 179 yards passing in a blowout loss against detroit. I mean jeeze, he threw 4 interceptions in a playoff game and we're crowning him?
  20. I didn't appreciate which ref threw it. i felt he had the worst view of it.... someone in his ear perhaps?!!! Conspiracy!
  21. Some off field stuff too.
  22. Teams are going to score - its getting stops at crucial moments. We barely did that all season long, let alone in the playoffs.
  23. Meant to piggyback - probably just replied to wrong thread though.
  24. They traded for Toney - he is their next Hill. Maybe they didn't use him a ton as he didn't have a training camp with him. They also have Moore who will fit in the slot... MVS as a deep threat. Plus a ton of draft capital.
