  1. I for one hope that a healthy gabe pushes him down the depth chart.
  2. I think that early draft pick is probably WR5 to start
  3. He was 19 when drafted but 20 by the fall when he played here. So i think he graduated at 17, played at VT from 17-19.
  4. I agree with you, thats just absolutely not true. He wasn't even the worst running back on the team last year!!! That would probably fall to Zack Moss. Mike tolbert... Frank Gore.... Reggie Bush... Tashard Choice.... Chris Ivory.... Bryce Brown... We can do this all day. Comparing his numbers to CJ spiller... Spiller gained more yards 3321 to 3151, but had fewer TDs 12 to 16. Also spiller fumbled 17 times to singletarys 13.
  5. Right? I think almost everyone missed time on defense. And usually that means they're all more banged up than usual that its causing them to miss practices.
  6. Beasley was 5'8" 174 so... pretty much the exact same size. Also, a lot of WRs are taking some notes on the Diggs and Locketts of the league and getting out of bounds... and just generally giving themselves up.
  7. Figured we were out on him if we signed Harty. How many slot WRs do we need? We haven't even had a draft yet.
  8. Smoke screen season!
  9. Love it - my friend used to work at a gamestop and he'd bring home all sorts of cardboard crap
  10. Got 2 of 5 WRs on rookie deals, diggs just restructured, and mckenzie is cheap. Assuming no injuries, id cut mckenzie. They save 250k if they cut him by friday so we'll see if they go to that route.
  11. Fun! I like it, sounds like a potential under the radar guy who can make an impact.
  12. Potentially, if we end up with fewer qualifying adds than subtractions. So far i'd assume we are at 1 and 1 with edmunds and McGovern. Potential adds to the formula: Poyer Singletary and the long shots of Phillips, Lawson, Crowder.
  13. Post-june will usually be used for players that have guarantees on base salary. If you trade someone, they pay the salary 🙂 Comp picks only apply if a players contract ends. If you cut them, they don't factor into the formula.
  14. I'm open to it - they liked him enough to put a 2nd round tender on him in 2022. And the saints like, never have cap space. Unfortunately he missed the season with turf toe last year. Possibly fortunately as it massively lowers the price. He might be cheap too so you don't have to make the choice now, you make the choice in camp. He was an all-pro punt returner his rookie year, so another option there as well.
  15. It shouldn't be that hard to use gadget players. He's made tons of plays as a jet motion player. Him as a conventional weapon wasn't a particularly successful season, so don't use him that way. Hines should be a change of pace back - not a gadget player. Put him out there on specific drives (end of halves), specific situations (3rd downs and some red zone), and probably a 2 RB formation.
  16. His cap hit is 2.5M. He has a signing bonus hit of 300k, so 2.2M max IF you cut him today. He has a 250k roster bonus paid out on Friday. If you cut him after that you're looking at slightly less than 2M in savings. There's a workout bonus and a per-game active bonus as well. FWIW - Noah Brown just got 1yr 2.6M and he caught 4 passes last year. My issue with doing it now is there are always potential injuries. We only have 4 dudes under contract at the moment - and the FA WRs are trash who will get overpaid.
  17. The following people threw passes to Hopkins his first 5 years in the league Schaub Keenum Yates Fitz Hoyer Mallett Savage Weeden Osweiler And by the time he returned the cardinals were in full on meltdown mode.
  18. So petty... I'm here for it
  19. I got him in the last round of my fantasy draft in 2019, and kept him in 2020 for a 17th round pick. He had some substance abuse issues growing up and in his first couple of years in the league. Injury wise- he has a history of knee, ankle, and hamstring issues.
  20. Right - cuz Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall = super bowl....
  21. Ekeler isn't a large cap hit issue - he just wants an extension. He has like nothing guaranteed and his total comp for the year is only 6M. I just cant imagine him playing under that number.
  22. Neal is also a primary depth piece at nickel corner (which is pretty important in our defense), so i think thats part of his pay. I'd say Matakevich and Jones are straight up teamers since they are last off of the bench. I saw matakevich resigned, i hope for less money.
  23. Not a great tackler, good in man coverage - and they blitz a lot so i think thats the goal.
  24. Yes - possibly a tackle in the first if the value is there. The mystery is - he isn't that good. Or he isn't a good fit in the payton offense. Or they want to allocate resources to better suit the team Payton wants to put together.
