  1. Yeah i got to 30.5 without touching miller or knox. Knox isn't cuttable until 2024, and depending on results of all this stuff with Von who knows there. I could see him getting cut with the hit splitting across 2024/2025.
  2. I got to 16.4 on spotrac doing this: Restructure - Allen, Milano, Oliver, McGovern, Bates Cut - Tre, Morse, Poyer, Hines, Harty, Neal Left alone - Diggs, Von (for now), Knox, Johnson, Dawkins Other possibilities Cut Von post june - saves 6.79M in 2024, but theres 15.4 in dead money 2025 Extend Dawkins - Can likely lower the base salary number from 9.3M and give you flexibility to restructure down the line Extend Taron - Reduce base salary from 6.45 Extend Douglas - Already 30 years old but even adding a year can get that 9M base salary lower Restructure Diggs - Can get about 14M in cap space if you do this - but he's in age 31 and it basically locks him in through age 32 or 33 season
  3. All his bonuses and restructures are already "paid" - salary would be the only thing you might get cap savings on and thats contract dependent.
  4. I like the player but its just going to take kincaid off of the field. He's not a particularly notable blocker - plus ideally knox can return. I also don't see why we'd use cap space on a TE at 6-6 with playoffs looking unlikely.
  5. Someone mentioned that his guaranteed salary may not be guaranteed under these circumstances, which would lessen the blow. If it is - you do it "post-june" - see some 2024 savings and get hit in 2025 with the rest. I don't even know if you're allowed to have practices during a bye week tbh.
  6. I wasn't particularly good at football, and probably somewhat dirty when it comes down to it. Way i see it? I'm aiming for hurts. Either im aiming for his head or stepping on his hand. You wanna do your garbage play, then get some garbage response. He rocks back to get momentum - its bull.
  7. Yep - you can pursue bonus money paid out or whatever... but you aren't really going to get cap space back. Likely ends up on exempt list - gets cut post June release. We end up with 2024 dead - 17M 2025 dead - 15.4M 2024 cap savings - 6.79M
  8. Well he was released in 2021 so... they just accelerated the cap hits and ate the charge in 21/22 dead money.
  9. So we shouldn't take a shot to try and go over the top?
  10. Little bit easier when it happened yesterday. Any bruises or visible abuse would still appear today.
  11. To be fair - everyone wanted chandler jones...
  12. Eh... JP losman was a sack machine in college, and a sack machine in the pro's. Kid didn't have it between the ears in the slightest. Not to mention his arm was not nearly as strong as Allens. I don't see it. Holds the ball, takes sacks, not a rhythm passer, not particularly accurate.
  13. 62 QB runs vs. 26 for the lions. Buffalo has also played an extra game.
  14. Side note - i feel like he's been the victim of several blatantly non-called PI penalties this year.
  15. I tend to agree. Lions offense is legit and they're 8-3 so he'll definitely end up with a job somewhere.
  16. Brady even gets a trial run here which is nice. He never got much run in carolina namely because.. the team had little talent other than CMC - who was hurt for most of the games brady coached there.
  17. Its very similar to the NE patriots offense that was run with brady. Motion can change route combinations, leverage can adjust route direction and depth, same plays can be run out of multiple formations, etc. When its working it almost feels like you can't do anything to stop it. When its not, the QB is double clutching all the time and receivers seem to be in the wrong spots. Part of the reason edelman was so successful there was because he was a QB prior to playing WR.
  18. Baltimore's probably the big one. Dallas was a big "we've arrived" win. NE 7 TD game.
  19. I mean... prevent and "keep everything in front of you" doesn't mean... don't cover them.
  20. We just spent a first on a young playmaker this season. And a 2nd the previous season. It's not like we don't do that. If the value is there sure - but i hate trading up with a billion holes on the defense. The defense is old to the point where the players are aging off the roster, and there aren't replacements.
  21. I left him on since hes under contract technically, and its very... coach and direction specific. I don't know that mcd wants to break up with 3 of the 2023 starting 4 DBs in one go, but he has not looked himself. Slower, the elbow injury is definitely affecting him. Might be time for him to chase a 1 year deal for some cash. It sounds to be a deep class so i look at it like... we won't get the top 3 guys, but can you get the right player in the 2nd or something?
  22. He was... not good against the Eagles. Lets just leave that there 🙂
