  1. I mean - Whaley panic extended him... then we had to panic bench him so we didn't get stuck with his contract.... Then we had to panic re-negotiate with him... Just about the only smart move that was made with TT was trading him for way more value than he was worth.
  2. I think X? He's the guy thats pretty much always in the same place now? Or is he the Z? I never know what the difference is.
  3. they play away games against NE, Chicago, Jax, Tenn, and a mexico game against the chargers. 16-0 is a pipe dream. They get houston, and baltimore too. All of those teams have solid defenses. I can honestly see them starting 0-1 against the jaguars.
  4. Over the last 2 years buffalo has had basically - a bottom 5 offense. Teams like that typically win like 3 games. So to have made the playoffs - proves to me that this guy has some chops.
  5. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/miami-dolphins/mario-williams-3849/cash-earnings/ The guy made 120 million dollars in his life. Can't ya just go fishing and enjoy yourself?
  6. Just saying - this guy looks more logan thomas than anything else. There will be other scout QB options for the practice squad.
  7. Fine - get me a scout QB that's better than the 5th string Tight end from last year.
  8. He was an injury settlement, then once he could pass a physical he found a job here. We had like no options, and he signed and started in less than 2 weeks. He backed up peterman against the bears after signing like what 3 days before?
  9. I just don't see the point to a developmental QB when you have a 2nd year QB starting. Especially one who has shown nothing at all so far.
  10. Yeah - when an owner is expecting the team to be mediocre-bad... it makes sense to save cash. We had a very cheap team the last 2 years, thus more profitable for the Pegulas.
  11. He's just not a very good player anymore
  12. He was drop City for a while there in Oakland. Seems to have turned a corner tho
  13. I mean... not a wrong strategy. Drafted Addai and between him and Rhodes you got similar numbers to what James had the year before. They also won the super bowl in 2006 the first year post James. They could have - had they not used their 4th round pick to move up for Ragland. Dak probably would have been one of the top prospects had he been in that lousy EJ manuel draft so seeing him available in the 4th would have been smart to draft. Don't worry - we got Cardale Jones 5 picks later...
  14. He's an ERFA next year too - would make sense. They'd have to add him to IR later so they could bring him back. In the meantime it would free up a roster spot for another WR who you could release if you needed to activate him. Or if another receiver were hurt he could then be brought back. Yeah - but we could cut and bring back a mccloud or williams or mckenzie. They could theoretically sign elsewhere but if we told them we were bringing them back they'd probably just wait.
  15. Yes backs are replaceable but he's ur best player and probably the best back in the league. He's also the cheapest.
  16. Yep - the drops have followed this guy since year 1 for whatever reason. Needs to just get over it for him to take the next step.
  17. I honestly only quoted you because it was the first one i saw where they entertained trading zay.
  18. Regarding Zay vs. Duke As much as i like the idea of a guy like Duke - he's been out of the NFL for disciplinary reasons and from what I have heard in practice has looked largely invisible. Can he consistently gain separation from NFL level corners in coverage...? If the answer is no, he doesn't have a spot on a roster. One TD in a preseason game doesn't change that imo. The NFL leader in red zone targets last year was Davante Adams with 31. He had 12 RZ TDs and caught 52% of those targets. He had 169 total targets in 2018. Inside the 10 - the leader was Hopkins with 15 targets - he caught 7. He's basically the best receiver in the NFL. The NFL leader in team target% inside the 20 was Adams... with 41.9%. 2nd was Zay Jones with 39.5%. I just think that the red zone jump ball thing isn't as big a thing as people think it is. And the guys at the top of the list are all-pro type do-all receivers and TE's like Hopkins, Thomas, Adams, JuJu, Ertz and Kelce. No one is carrying a jump ball specialist to come out for one play. Guys like McCaffrey Kamara Edelman Landry and White are used in the red zone nearly as often.
  19. We're trying to make the playoffs. I don't want 2020 5th round picks if it makes my team even slightly worse.
  20. We're not a particularly exotic defense (it seems like we're in quarters 75% of the time) - but we have some looks that we use to confuse QBs. We tend to not use those and just rush 4 and play zone, maybe flip to man for a drive just for film purposes - despite this not really being a winning strategy to kind of show your hand like that. Not much in the way of stunts either. You aren't trying to win, you're trying to see how your players perform when the offense knows what you're doing. But other teams probably run the same 10 plays and just look at how it looks vs. zone vs. man etc. So it's all kinda BS.
  21. Well the chiefs played a somewhat conservative game in week 17 as they already had a bye. Only threw the ball 24 times before coming out in the 4th quarter. Allen also didn't have good numbers in week 14 and 16 against the NYJ and NE. I think he's a backup fantasy QB - but the 600 rushing yards and 8 TDs is awesome for fantasy purposes. Especially in leagues where you only get 4 pts for a passing TD.
  22. Yeah - last year we hated foster and wondered why he was playing... then he hit the PS and came back a completely new player.
  23. Pilates work too. Considering he's a wide receiver too its kind of important.
