  1. They went away from trying misdirection and instead focused on getting to the perimeter. Buffalos defense was in relatively tight alignments all game so it made sense to do it. You need the end to get to that gap and disrupt the play behind the LOS. Their tackles and guards did a good job in the 2nd half not letting that happen. Or when it happened it was klein and he just whiffed.
  2. Divisional game... HOF coach... their SEASON basically on the line. They played hard, and they lost.
  3. I think the idea is being in the right place to make plays on the ball so they can't get multiple deep completions.
  4. I would've kept blitzing. Cam was spiking and overthrowing under pressure all game. They countered this a bit towards the end with toss plays to get to the perimeter, as our LBs were down by the LOS and too tight to stop those plays. I've played enough football to know that some days you have it, and some days you don't. Winning when you don't is tough.
  5. Yeah, he had a couple plays called back on holding or pre-snap too, but mostly those 2, and the other long completion were deep overs into the zones where we didn't get pressure. Not sure it was coverage issues. Winning close games will always have a degree of luck - but at the same time... Having a QB who you trust in the 4th quarter of a tight game is probably more important than having a dominant defense. Miami had a great game, a great gameplan of blitzes for LA. But if that game was tied at 28 with 4 minutes left, i don't see them driving down and winning with a rookie QB. That may cost them games down the line. I see them struggling to get to the 9 wins that everyone else seems to have them pegged for.
  6. We played a team with the worst passing offense in the NFL, on a windy day. I don't think the Free safety was going to be featured. If he misses Seattle too, we can talk about marlowe as a suitable replacement free safety.
  7. I don't mind not following meyers - Don't give away your coverage if you don't have to. I just wish wallace would play a little bit more aggressively, they're not going to get behind you. Bail coverage is fine, but you have to know they arent attacking you deep. Well we'd had a tight 8 man box all game long and then up 21-14 we just assumed they're going to let cam pass. They didn't.
  8. Right? Klein - do all-pro things. Honestly - Klein was less of a liability when he was blitzing. When he was spying he lost burkhead for a long gain, he missed a tackle on white, and missed harris on a toss play.
  9. Methinks they wanted a vet making line calls against the patriots.
  10. Its very rare to see teams trade within the division.
  11. I didn't like how we went into cover 3 when we took the 7 point lead. The drive before they completed like 2 passes and we were worried with like 9 minutes left. Hell, they were still running the ball with 2 minutes left.
  12. At least bring in better competition than AJ Klein.
  13. Bad angles, slow... its brutal to watch
  14. Do u want 8 in the box or to double meyers?
  15. I vaguely remember buffalo beating Miami too
  16. I mean... Miami has 5 first downs and about 50 yards of offense and 2 turnovers. So we may not want to crown them yet
  17. 4 takeaways and a PR touchdown. Yeesh.
  18. The cap savings is 4.5 million. It isn't even a lot of space. Don't get a comp pick either. You're sacrificing continuity on the back end for... the space to sign danny shelton or haha clinton-dix. Why is it milano or hyde? Why not milano or brown, or milano or butler?
  19. Didn't even mention the saints.
  20. I'd tend to agree. Star's contract comes back on the books so i assume butler or jefferson is gone (probably butler due to larger cap savings and less impact on the field). More cap savings on hughes, but he seems to be better than addison and the savings difference is like 1 million. I also think the cap won't go down as much as we think - the estimate of 179 seems very low. You theoretically can just borrow from future years cap to pay for this years. Keep it static for 2021, maybe we get fans in the building and get it back to normal. Then 2022 you end up at like 205 instead of like 210 or 215.
  21. Murphys gone already. Why hyde - and not Butler, Brown, or Matakevich?
  22. I mean it makes him what... the 20th highest paid safety? I'd rather move John Brown, or Butler if space is a major issue. You save more money cutting butler than you do hyde. 2nd on the team in snaps this year, the primary center fielder/deep safety, can return punts in a pinch, and has experience at nickel corner. to save what 4.5 in cap space? I don't think you improve the team with the savings and fact that you have to use draft compensation to replace him. Huge risk to take 90 something percent of defensive snaps and give them to a rookie.
  23. He did lower his head pretty low to initiate contact.
  24. Minshew will have a long career as a backup/fitzpatrick type. He doesn't have great arm strength, he isn't particularly accurate - but he's a gamer, takes what you give him, gets the job done.
