  1. But let’s not make any mistakes here. Roger Saffold is here to win a Super Bowl in the twilight of his career. I think he can do it. And Von is too! Von greatest value might be to get that DL playing extremely hard and smart. Uniting the line and getting each one to play their best. Look at that draft Von Miller came in, almost everyone is retired. He’s got to be a player more valuable than what he can do on the field. He can still be a good football player but his days of amazing fans with his lightning quick play are probably all gone. We need our three young ends to really step up and I think they might just do that for Von. The same with our 3 new DTs. Shaq and Jordan Phillips are also here to win a Super Bowl. Hopefully the nine of them really come together and become greater than their nine parts. That’s what we’re banking on I think. Von is still good enough to lead our Nasty Nine. They gotta be very good to unite this defense and make it solid enough to win a Super Bowl.
  2. Head coaching change no doubt. It might even have been McD? Maybe it was Kromer that decided to go to the rams when Rex was fired? I wouldn’t have blamed him but IDK why he left the rams? You are way, way, way underestimating Saffold. He’ll be dominant as long as he is healthy. Dawkins had a tough time with Covid last year so hopefully, that is in the rear view mirror. Hopefully, McD wasn’t lying when he said Brown had this little arthroscopic surgery. Hopefully it is very minor and he is already ready to go… Bbut Brown entering year two could be a major upgrade. Bates was excellent last year. He really did unite the starting five. And Morse has never been a problem at all. The starting five should be much better than last year, I couldn’t understand anyone who’d think different. And the Backups, while I don’t like them, I don’t hate them either. Doyle could make a huge jump in year two. Ford might bond with Kromer, who knows? And Quessenberry is a question, imho… I never noted his play one way or the other. But! He came from a good team that blocked OK at least…. Maybe Boettger makes a big leap this year with Kromer here? It’d be about midseason but that’s maybe when we are going to need him… At least he is hopeful….maybe, IDK…. Depth could be an issue, we’ll see…. And that could turn out to be a huge deal. As good as Saffold is when playing, his body breaks down readily now at his age… So it is more important than ever to have a great sixth man. It might be Quessenberry I don’t know?
  3. “ Ike and Ford are good depth, but you don't want them starting.” Then they are bad depth…. I think, both, in the past, have proven to be down grades… Maybe Aaron can do something with this pair, IDK? The Bills need a backup that comes in and you don’t notice a huge difference… Though, perhaps, I shouldn’t complain as I remember Doug went into a season with Doug Legursky penciled in starting at LG! Can you imagine? And we didn’t storm the stadium in protest. I’d say Cody Ford is much better than Doug Legursky….. Quessenberry is no doubt much better than Legursky as well…. We gotta get the whole team buying into a code of excellence and we should be OK. What are you most anticipating for the 2022-23 season? I want to see that defense gel. I want to see the 3 new DTs look very solid. I want to see the 3 young ends tear up the league. I want to see Von Miller leading these guys. I want to see that secondary take the field 100% healthy and ready to go and dominate. Tre - Poyer - Hyde - TJ - Kaiir….. With any luck we get to see them play together and gel and become the best secondary in the league. #1!
  4. Maybe. I’m with everyone else in Billieving AAron Kromer can have a big effect in Buffalo. The guy was a hair away from becoming a HC before a meltdown…. But he is a great OL coach that should be able to be a sounding board for KD when he needs it…. I was hoping Aaron had more connections to available players in free agency but he only got one player to come here. A great one though in Roger Saffold…. I was hoping for more. I wonder what Kromer thought of Cody Ford in his draft year?
  5. I was just looking at the Bills 2013 and 2014 rosters and we’re so much better now on offense it’s crazy. It’s not just Josh Allen. We have a solid OL No Doug Legurskys here. We have very solid weapons. No Scott Chandlers, man, he was awful yet started for years here. It’s really hard to build a complete offense and McBeane has done it. (Singletary and Cook will be fine!) We had a very good defense in both ‘13 and ‘14 but ours this year might end up being better. It has a chance. Again, no obvious weak spots. We might end up with the league’s best secondary with any luck. I just wish we could have drafted Jordan Davis as well*…. But Beane has really done a great job of giving the city of Buffalo a legit chance at the Super Bowl this year. I’m appreciative. * - Davis is going to be an immediate star in Philly and he would have solved all our defensive problems in Buffalo. He would just shut-down the run. He would command a double team on nearly every play he’s out there. Tremaine Edmunds would rarely face a blocker. Von and Ed would be free to pass rush vs. single blocking as well… You need a big play, he can collapse the line. I mean, there’s so many things he can do for a defense it’s crazy. Another Ted Washington. Just a man among boys, imho…. Well, that doesn’t fill me with confidence but I appreciate the time you took giving me an answer…. I sure hope Quessenberry is the real deal. Or Ford finds himself in fourth year. It was Ford that was causing us some grief last year while we were struggling to field a good line for Josh. Yeah, he got hurt too… but still think he would have to play quite a bit better than ever before in a Bills uni. to replace any of our starting five….
  6. I do think our starting five, if healthy, have a shot at being dominant. I certainly don’t see why not? Dawkins is a very good LT most of the time. Saffold might be our best OL. He is going to make our left-side special. Morse has never been the problem. He is a solid and mobile center. Bates was the man who solidified the line last season. Hard to Billieve he was third string. Brown is a huge, huge man who had a great rookie season and should only get much better heading into year two. I’d say even very dominant if they stay healthy. My question is who is the #1 backup on the interior? on the exterior? and why? Has Beane gone overboard trying to get something out of Cody Ford? Or has Kromer promised Clay would be ready? Or what? Is Quessenberry much better than I thought? I have no idea… but I’d feel much more comfortable had Beane addressed this in the draft. I guess, they just weren’t there but that doesn’t explain what we are going to do now…. Thinking about that draft. Elam was the main thing we got by far.
  7. “This particular host also said he's very comfortable with the Bills' OL depth.” - Did the host happen to mention why?
  8. 99 days till: new OC, Saffold, Howard, Cook, Crowder, and Shakir. On defense: 3 young DEs, 3 new DTs, Shaq’s return, Tre’s possible return, Elams first game and Von’s first in a Buffalo jersey. Leslie’s defensive adjustments? The Rams (world champions) At Sofi….dropping of the super Bowl Banners…. It’s going to be tough for the Bills to keep up their energy…. To remain calm..,, Pretty sensational Thursday night (although I think we’re going to have to wait on Tre….)
  9. You’d think the perfect player to add to a Josh Allen offense would be Christian Watson.
  10. I’m just greeedy. I want three outside WRs…. So you rotate the three. And then you have slot WRs…. We have two, we need three….Another reason is to have depth. So you can keep going should one go down. Sure, we have players that can go outside but they’re not outside players. We’ll probably have to find out at some point whether the slot guys, TEs or Cook can play outside and get us out of a jam. I actually like Khalil the best to go outside if Diggs or Davis goes down for any reason.
  11. Didn’t you see the BAD news? Brown is having a, “procedure,”!!! What? Now? …… Not good…. 😩 Sophomore slump here we come…. I imagine he hurt something, (probably a hernia?) and the doctors decided to see if it would he’ll up on its own but it didn’t. So now they just operated and this thing is going to not be right all year again….. he’ll end up with jock itch, other infections, tears, you name it. Probably ends up tearing the other one protecting the hurt one….it’s going to be awful and we’re not going to have a good RT all freakin’ year…..😫 Oh damn! Brown! We hardly knew ye! 😭 Yes, two very different players….
  12. Tre has to come back, he has to! I have plans. I can envision our fully functional Death Star, I mean, secondary. That! is a Super Bowl worthy secondary. It sure is. I have, for awhile now, expected our secondary to mesh about week six…. im sticking with that date.
  13. We value your long support of our beloved Buffalo Bills and sincerely apoligize for any inconveniences the border may have cost you… Please don’t let this affect our beautiful relationship, thank you and…. Go Bills!
  14. It’s true! Bates was a revelation to our OL . It was solidified from that point on….
  15. Yeah, I hope Beane drafted well in 202p and 2021 with his premium picks. Rousseau is a player that might not of been there at all if it wasn’t for Covid. We took him young and I hope he explodes onto the scene this year. AJ and Boogie were both premium picks and you have to get something from your premium picks if you want to win a Super Bowl. None of the three are rookies anymore they have Von Miller to lead them, now they have to make plays vs. one on one blocking. Just wanted to add that things are never black and white. A defensive tackle like Aaron Donal, Cameron Hayward or DeForest Buckner are even better than a 2nd end. For the Bills many teams doubled Ed Oliver last year, mostly because our DL was so poor, but maybe with Von, DaQuon Jones and Tim Settle bracketing Ed Oliver we might be able to take most of those doubles off of Ed. Maybe this is the year Ed Oliver gets press to call him a poor man’s Aaron Donald once again? I sure would love to hear the comparisons again.Maybe Ed gets ten sacks this year? It’s possible. IThink both DaQuon and Settle need to be real solid for this to happen (along with Von).
  16. I give the same answer to every question. We know our Offense is one of the top offenses and barring injuries will remain so. It’s BALANCE that wins Super Bowls though…. Beane completely rebuilt the DEfensive Line. Did he do a great job? It features four things: The young DEs. Groot, Boogie and AJ. Three high picks from the 2020 & 2021 drafts are our three young ends and they must play very well. Plus we have the four new free-agents. Three of them are Defensive Tackles: DaQuon Jones, Tim Settle, and Jordan Philips. All three of these guys are going to have to have a big impact for us. Then there’s Shaq Lawson who is our fifth DT and brings both size and veteran experience. He has to help too. #3 is Ed Oliver. The three other DTs job is to take that double team off of Ed Oliver. Once the double is off can Ed make huge plays for us? #4 is Von Miller. I left him all by himself as he is our highest paid defender now. But make no mistake, he is no longer good enough to effect a defense all on his own. The rest of the DL HAS to make the offense address the DL as a dangerous whole. Then….. Then, if all that works we need to watch the return of our other impact defender, Tre White. We need his return badly and we need it to be 100%. That moment will be huge for us when we see Tre be Tre. But this year is very different. The Bills went out and got their choice at CB, Kaiir Elam. He’s big, strong and fast. He hits, he intercepts, he can lockdown a WR probably even as a rookie once he adjusts to the pro game. Once we put this all together and with any luck we have a shot at being a top defense in the NFL. If we can do that we stand a way better shot at hoisting the Lombardi but there is is a third part to playing football; Special Teams…. No one really mentioned this yet but much of the Bills 2022 draft focused on putting the Bills Special Teams on a whole nuther level. We got the Punt God!!! Yes, he has tons to learn. But he may be the perfect lump of clay to create the best punter in the NFL. Nuff said. Then, we drafted not one, but two young, smallish LBs that bleed process. Under McD the Bills always rank very high at coverage, maybe we make it to #1 this year? Maybe we have the guys to set up the blocks for these guys to return. The guy who is probably going to return both kicks and punts for us Khalil Shakir. He was made for this. Just a tremendous fifth round pick we got a WR that should have been long gone. He is the new Gabriel Davis but he returns too….If the Bills want to lessen the load for the rook they might not look farther than James Cook. He has no experience returning but he looks the part. I think he could definitely do it as he is very fast natural receiver . Mix all this up and add the Bass-o-matic, add brand new STs coach Mathew Smiley who may bring some dynamic calls to the STs and we have the makings of a Super Bowl quality Special Teams Unit. Add a crack STs unit to our offense and possible defense and we have ourselves a possible Super Bowl Team. Make no mistake fans, we are going to need all three. We are going to need all three plus our coaches to take the next step in becoming Super Bowl worthy coaches. It’s balance. You need the whole enchilada. I’m super happy though as we have a very real shot at this, winning a Super Bowl….
  17. Well that’s just fine but it is our defense that’s gonna decide whether we win that Super Bowl or not…. Its got to be respectable. And it’s got to be respectable vs. good teams. Mahomes makes us look like, The Three Stooges….
  18. Squish the Fish Week is NEVER a trap game. The f***ing stealers beat us last year and might be best us again, it’s not a trap game…. Maybe, “da bears,” is a trap game.
  19. It’s not so much that he’s a sore loser, the phrase we’re looking for here is dick-head… Tom Brady I’d a dick-head, there I said it. Now I can go… .
  20. People that do things like this simply want to be the very best, that’s all… Go Bills!
  21. I guess Kromer was right about him afterall….
  22. But what has he done for us lately? He has his brand new DL, he was his second all pro level CB, I want the defense to look good vs. good teams. I want to win a Super Bowl! Is that asking too much? Go Bills!
