  1. My girlfriend looked over my shoulder and asked if that was the Karate Kid
  2. I've been thinking the same thing. Thought I was the only one who noticed...
  3. That's incredible. 1 - These fans are probably more negative about their team than we have been in the past. 2 - How many times have we enjoyed other teams' fans (just like the Eagles' fans) throwing their hands up and assuming they just can't stop the Bills offense without a ton of pressure? I think it's so cool.
  4. Roscoe's health is repeatedly linked to his size as compared to others in the NFL. It's funny, however, to note that all of his injuries tend to be self-inflicted. He fell on his wrist and broke it. He stepped wrong on his ankle and sprained it. The guy isn't too small- more like he's 90 years old and can't handle a slip on the ice.
  5. Nope, not even close to worth the long-term damage it could cause our rebuilding team. Lloyd retires and then we are a draft pick short, and a receiver short, when we could have been playing someone else. It's stupid anyway- it's not like our #2 is gone forever, he's just injured.
  6. Ha, on the second Eagles drive in the 4th qtr when Desean Jackson catches the cross and runs like 30 yards, and at the end, the commentators like, "I think there was a bit of a hold there..." then gets cut off by the other announcer. Then the next play where Vick scrambles to the left side, Carrington is clearly held and the commentator says, "Looks like he got away with a little hold there..." as he continues to analyze the play. Hahahahaha it was all over the place.
  7. The Steelers won a close game that they "should" have lost last season because the other team's receiver dropped a pass that landed right in his bread basket (good karma). That team played in last year's Super Bowl. For the last time- good teams win. I am serious in saying that the concept really is difficult to understand, especially when you've been on the wrong side of "karma" and truly believed we were snake-bitten and not just bad. We have to get over it though. The team is 4-1, and that's what matters.
  8. It's still a matter of tightening a few things up. Defense gives up a few less yards, the offense gets into a better rhythm (hard with your whole WR corps injured), and things are just fine. We play some really really good offenses, and all we really need to do is a better job of keeping up on offense rather than expect the D to do it for us. It CONTINUES to be majorly an issue of playing 1 half per game.
  9. Not to ruin the thread that I started or anything but to be honest the problem is not so much the defense giving up huge yardage (though it would be nice to keep the score a bit lower) but also the offense missing on opportunities. I suppose you can't ask much more from an offense than 30 ppg, but when they have 5 turnovers to work with, you should see a lot more. That wouldn't make the defense look better, but it would put us out of reach.
  10. Absofrickenlutely. What about Stevie dropping that ball and THEN we go 2 more plays and punt against the Steelers last year But it was ALL his fault.
  11. Not if he doesn't have picks- but we will have to get on the voting wagon. We'll start a thread and demand 300 votes per member
  12. Best team in the league? No. Packers But, top 10? Yeah, I'll take that. Not because we're an overly dominate team either, but because we find ways to win somewhere. The whole team works together. However, I'd like to see this vaunted offense do even more damage. We slaughtered the Eagles but seemed to let up. We just didn't execute in the second half. Like I said though, the point is, we won, and if we keep winning we'll only find different ways to KEEP winning
  13. Look, I'll be the first to look at the Bills and point out all of the positions that keep us from being a perfect football team. But the fact is, we won. Good teams win no matter what their weaknesses, and I'm convinced that this is a good team. Furthermore, many of you said we couldn't beat the Eagles because of our defense. Well, we let up over 400 yards but we harassed Vick into mistakes- that's what our defense does- I'm starting to think our offense is worse than our overly opportunistic defense... But either way, many people said we'd lose. We didn't. Many people said Gailey won't run the ball. lol. Many said our pass rush can't contain Vick. We did. The point is that while we are constantly worried about what the team can't do, we tend to forget that no team is perfect and we certainly aren't going to be, but it doesn't matter when you win. It's just been too long since we've had a real, live good football team so we can't take anything for granted. Enjoy it for now
  14. Moats is an animal. And for blitz packages having him and Merriman in on each side was great to see. Despite what we seem to think, it looks like Merriman is actually getting a lot of pressure.
  15. I agree on the playaction- nee more of it. Other than that though- was great game management with the lead. The D played great all game until the late 3rd early 4th.
  16. Uhhh, what's special about a Towne BMW Williamsville frame? Do you mean it was a BB frame? I'm confused. ...As a side note, I forced my current girlfriend into being a Bills fan. Last year, as one of her birthday presents, I did her the favor of ripping off her old Bengals frame and replacing it with a Bills frame. She didn't notice for like a month, and when she did I simply screamed "happy birthday!"
