Thanks for sharing. That Pats fan was spot on. Read several comments. Bills fans mostly loved it except a few who still thought Allen was a wasted pick. Most non-Bills fans thought the guy was crazy.

I don't care much who we play. But, on the other hand, wouldn't it be great if we avenged all of our regular season losses in the playoffs? In fact, if we rest starters in Week 17 and that allows the Dolfish to get in, could we play Fish, Titans, Chefs, and then in the Super Bowl the Cardinals? I realize very unlikely (at least for the Cardinals to make it that far), but it would be great.

Someone already said it before, we need Titans to lose a game. They play Green Bay, so it's quite likely.

Dumb play, taunting

Since I moved back to NYS, in September I knew I'd buy seasons again (left in 93, the only year I had season tickets instead of going to a handful of games each year). Last week I heard an ad that they're taking reservations. I called up to buy 2 tickets. Got the 40 yard line row 35. An hour later called to get 2 more for a friend knowing there were 2 seats next to me. The 4 right behind were also open. Another friend called 2 days later and was told those were gone. I called back yesterday and was told the best available were near the end zone. He said the last 2 weeks have been going like crazy.

By firing Greggo they got rid of the only obvious interim replacement so at least Gase will likely last the season.

I pity you for following them during those years. I only remember two things from that era of the Bills. Watching them beat the Jets in 1968 for their only win of the season (the year the Jets went on to win SB III). And, that I had a Bills beanie hat. I walked to the corner store wearing the beanie and the owner said he'd give me the candy I was getting for free if I could name Dennis Shaw's backup, this must have been 1970. I don't think I even knew who Dennis Shaw was so I obviously wasn't really following them. The first I really remember being a diehard fan was OJ's 2000 yard season, 1973. I watched every game that was televised, knew all of the stats every week, and made sure to announce them in school Monday morning when Mr. Sealy asked how our weekend was.

Thanks for sharing. That was great. I was too young for the AFL championships, so that part was especially great to watch but I loved reliving the parts I remember seeing as well.

I never bought "the NFC was the much better conference" takes. The NFC those years had one team (Redskins then Cowgirls) that were far better than the rest. They blew out the Bills in SB 26-28, but they also blew out their competition throughout the playoffs. The Bills did well against their NFC teams in the regular season as I recall, including winning the first ever no punt game vs. the 49ers. They of course could have/should have won SB25. The Giants barely beat the 49ers in the NFC Championship game (winning on a last second 47 yd FG) and of course beat the Bills due to a last second missed 47 yd FG.

I had lived in Endicott, NY for 11 years since college. Finally in the spring I bought season tickets after having been going to between 2 and 4 games a year, I got a friend of mine to go in with me on either 2 or 4 tickets. Then, within a couple of weeks of each other, my friend Rob decides to move back home to Newburg and felt it's too far to go to games, and I took a job in California. Ended up selling all the tickets except for the season finally (to NJ Jerks, Dec. 24th). Never bought season's again since I'd been in CA ever since until two months ago when I took a job back in Central NY.

I really don't think it's about money. I think the primary reason that almost all coaches want to be head coaches is that you want to get to the top of your profession. That's being a HC, not a coordinator. Dabol left NE to become an OC instead of a position coach. Likely he'll leave us too if it means being a HC. Yes, occasionally they will not take the position that is from a crappy organization, but I think in general they do, especially for the first opportunity. Plus, for most, opportunities don't necessarily keep coming around. Although he didn't get any looks last year, many thought Frazier should have been a HC candidate based on the Bills defense. Now, there's little chance he'd get considered based on this year's play. Same could happen to the O. Although I hope he stays, I believe if he's given the opportunity, Dabol will be gone.

That was me that went to the bathroom just as the broncos lined up. Missed it! I was at the comeback game though and didn't leave. All the other plays you mentioned were great too. I'd probably choose the QB draw by Kelly vs. Dolfish.

While I agree they'd be a much better team with Garropolo, would he still be there? I thought NE never paid Brady top QB money. Jimmy G. was the highest paid QB at the time he signed his contract. Could you imagine them dumping Brady to pay so much more for Garrapolo? And, BB is saying that part of the problem is that they spent enough over the last several years so that now they don't have flexibility. At the time that they signed Newton, they had almost 0 cap space. Since then they freed up quite a bit. But, I don't think they could have afforded or been willing to pay Garrapolo's salary.

I've been thinking this all along. I see no way the league will give a team a free W. If they gave a forfeit, I think it's as you say, Titans get an L, Bills get a bye and a record based on 15 games.

Totally agree Chandler. I remember shortly after the '18 draft hearing from two of the hosts on NFL Radio something to the extent, "I'm worried about Allen. He needs to be developed but I'm afraid Buffalo is the team that drafted a QB that has the least available resources to help him develop." In actuality, that was true his first year: - A 3 way QB competition in camp so he didn't get reps as the known starter (plus he lost the competition to Peterman). - A QB coach who had been a WR coach for many years and had no history of developing a QB. - A not very good OC. - A defensively minded Head Coach. - No veteran backup to mentor him until DA was brought in mid-season. - A horrible OLine. - Horrible receivers. McDermott and Beane have steadily fixed all of these problems while New Jersey has not.

I just came into the state yesterday and am considered an essential worker. I got tested this morning so that I can go into work as soon as I get results (I got the rapid test so already have results). The NYS Covid Tracing called me this morning also to go over everything. I was under the same impression as you, no need to quarantine with the negative test results. They told me this is incorrect. I can go into work based on the results but must otherwise quarantine for 14 days. The reasoning is the incubation period. If I was exposed in the last few days, I may give a negative test result but still have it and still be contagious. So, I can go to work and then go home and isolate myself at home.

I just moved back from CA yesterday, working outside of Syracuse (Skaneateles Falls) and for now living with my father in Rochester until I find a place. Any good radio to listen to about the Bills in those markets? This morning, I listened to Sirius XM NFL mostly from 6 AM to 9 and never heard the Bills mentioned (probably they did sometime when I had to have the radio off). I missed Schein's monolog unfortunately, I'm sure he had a lot to say.

As Hapless said, most common schmucks don't get tested regularly like NFL players / employees do. Also, there is an out for essential workers coming from out of state. If they get tested upon arrival, they are not required to quarantine after the results come back as negative. Since I'm starting a new job in the Syracuse area next week immediately after arriving from CA, I called the NYS covid hot line just to confirm I can do that and was given approval. I don't know if I would consider myself essential, but the definition applies so I'm going with it.

I’ve never called before asking for discounts. I just accepted a job in Skaneateles Falls so I’ll be working there and coming home to California on some weekends. Since I only get Sunday Ticket to watch the Bills and I assumed I’ll be in NY for most weekends and can watch on local TV, I called up to cancel. She asked if the reason was with everything going on I wasn’t interested in football. I said yes and she said in that case they’ll give it me free this year if I want to keep it.
