  1. Jay Cutler certainly has his issues especially with decision making centered around when to not throw a ball. He has a gift of an arm and he lets his talent override his mind. In saying that, on this team he would be in the playoffs and I don't think it's debatable. That's how good I think the rest of our team is.
  2. Nice place to live doesn't mean great sports city that's for sure.
  3. I'm not making fun of you or being smart, just saying it's not that big of an upgrade and I'd rather roll with Orton and have him even more comfortable in the playbook.
  4. Just because our current options aren't great doesn't mean you bring in another low level option. It's like saying going all in with pocket 3's is crazy but if you have 4's you should.
  5. It's clear to me we can win against mediocre and below teams with Orton and for some that's exciting enough. But we can't contend with teams that have a decent coaching staff. Kyle is just very limited and can't be asked or expected to carry a team.
  6. It's close and with the defense we have we have to move forward or we're going backwards. This defense is special and they don't stay together long these days.
  7. He really looked like a guy dazed from getting hit in the head. He basically said haha tricked you right in front of the refs and they called it anyway. They threw the flag but were huddled, why couldn't one of them say "look at him - he's mocking that he's actually ok and drew a flag before we announced it".
  8. I agree he looks incredibly slow but what's more incredible is how he ends up gaining yards after contact. I can't figure out how he's doing it because beyond heart there's nothing special about his skills.
  9. Did anyone happen to catch the analysis Trent Dilfer made of RGIII? Where he said if you look at the history of football "small jointed" QB's break down. I thought it was right on and really made sense.
  10. I should have went to the ceramics class with my wife.
  11. Agreed it's a concern, but his upside in terms of talent is special.
  12. Jerry Hughes isn't going anywhere. I like Revis or Flowers and I'd love to take a shot at Cameron Jordon.
  13. Why did I go with the Elite Manziel jersey?
  14. Exaclty. I had crappy teachers that were over the top with how upset they got - I've had bosses that were insulting and ridiculous - I've gotten pulled over by police officers and some friendly that even let me go and some that didn't give a crap to hear my side. - I've had coaches that said so many inappropriate things to us they would be arrested in today's society. But in each of these situations I respected their authority and realized no matter what the right thing for me to do was give them the same respect I gave the ones that treated us better. It's a cultural thing - we're encouraged and enabled to question everyone in authority. Sometimes that's good and sometimes that's bad - no different than when I grew up you respected no matter what. Sometimes that was good and sometimes it was bad because we should have done something about a few things that went on.
  15. No you would look at what the people did on the middle games (harder to chose) and go against those. You don't make the most unlikely picks.
  16. It's his job to chase a person that just committed a crime. I'm sure he's like I wish I could just go back to my car and F this damn job, but he has a duty to not let people like that walk away.
  17. I thought that about Roddy White last week, so did his coach.
  18. Brilliant writing skills.
  19. I'm not arguing that he's a great coach, but there's plenty of examples where a GM or owner's ego has caused them to replace an excellent coach.
  20. I completely disagree. I get that the NFL has some officiating issues that can improve the sport. These men are sacrificing their bodies in an alarming way and they are dictating who wins and loses most of the time.
  21. Is it just me or does the number of a player just make them look different? The 48 just doesn't make him look 6' 4" for some reason.
  22. Harbough reminds me of Rex Ryan. He's an entertaining coach for the fans, media, and maybe even the players. The issue is that the explosiveness in which they coach either works or blows up and most certainly doesn't scream longevity in todays NFL. No doubt these type of coaches can fire a team up, but they lack being able to then keep them calm - which to me is the tougher of the two to execute.
  23. I know in theory that sounds great but unfortunately someone will always respond to them. Hell I even had to resist the urge and I agree with you.
  24. Darn that sucks. I wonder if it would have done him some good to reside in Buffalo. I truly believe the way we have treated our favorite players from years past lifts their spirits and makes them feel relevant, which sometimes seems to be one of the issues with sports retirement.
