A Few Thoughts about the Panthers Game - Community Edition
ganesh replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
A few other observations * Shaq Thompson had a great came and he played all the 54 snaps. * Bishop over pursued on that run that Hancock had bring down the runner. Otherwise, that would have been a tackle at the LoS * It is still a mystery why Brady is not using Cook or Ty Johnson (arguably the best 3rd down back in the league) in the passing game; especially when he had success with Ray Davis against Atlanta. * The IOL is a mess when it comes to pass protection. Unless that is fixed, I doubt Allen gets a clean pocket to stay and not run for his life. * McDermott also praised him in the post-game locker room speech -
I never thought I would say this: The chiefs are actually going to come to this game to stop James Cook and dare Allen to throw the ball downfield. This would be the first time, they pay more attention a player not named Josh Allen. This would be the game for Josh to raise above the mediocrity of the past three weeks. The biggest thing this passing game is missing is the rhythm....Too often they are punting the ball away on a 3-and-out. They need to build some rhythm starting with 5 yard passes and then looking for 10-15 yarders before looking for the deep hits. They need to move the chains and keep Mahomes on the sidelines as much as possible.

This is the stubborness of this coaching staff to be not creative...

The New Guys: Hairston, Hoecht, Ogunjobi plus Hancock

Bishop overplayed the run so badly that he was completely OUT of position. -

The problem is that this offense is NOT having any rhythm...When they are not able to complete 3rd downs and drives stall, then the number of targets are very small and immeasurable. Brady is definitely not scheming enough to make this offense work and is too dependent on the run game. It is a shame that he is not able to use the MVP of the league any better. -
It’s time to have an uncomfortable conversation about Taron

don't forget the change of who was making the defensive calls. -
More importantly, they had a fierce pass rush

Forcing Turnovers is the missing ingredient in this Defense

And a bit of luck.... If the fumble by Robinson was not negated, we probably score and take a lead there and the game could have been different... Of course the same could be said...if Bishop makes the tackle, Robinson does not score the 81 yard TD. -
Completely agree... Signing Samuel was definitely a bad idea..it also shows the lack of long term thinking by this Bills Brass. Unfortunately, the guys they brought in for the perimeter have not panned out. That is on the coaching staff

🙂 Ray. My understanding is that they feel they are stocked at WRs and don't need another one.

Mad Max activated from IR and is expected to play vs the Panthers

We need to temper our expectations....The HC told us 2 weeks ago that he was not ready...I am assuming they will sprinkle him in for 5-10 plays and may be some STs to get a feeling of the speed in NFL. All these old beat up QBs always have good game against us... -
What complexity ? Our offense plays in the 1st 5 yards from the scrimmage....It is throwing to RBs, slants to all the WRs or bubble screens...The only guy who catches anything downfield have been Kincaid and Knox.

This is his 2024 stats: GPRECTGTSYDSAVGTDLNGFDFUMLST 17 87 133 1,282 14.7 10 85 53 0 0 I will take him in a heart beat...ship Davis and a 2nd round pick to them for Brian.
