  1. This is a very similar quote that Mike Tomlin said at the beginning of a season opener against the Baltimore Ravens...That was an electric game...HC can motivate teams aptly. This may be a ploy by Marrone to simply let Rodgers know that he cannot just walk into this team and become a Diva..
  2. May be Maronne felt that our past coaching staff was a big problem with the players not performing up to expectations. May be he chose to not keep incumbents so that the team can get a *FRESH* start. There is nothing wrong with that. Should he have considered interviewing other ST candidates (besides the incumbent). Probably yes. Was it Mandatory...No.
  3. The Special Teams is a big question mark. However, our previous ST coach was not any good. It appeared that DeHaven had lost his golden touch from the 90s and merely was playing defense. Of course, the track record of Crossman is piss poor too. Time will tell if we will get improved play or not. Our coverage teams sucked big time last year,
  4. -1 -1 -1 -1 -1 If we can persevere, we could win 2 games against the Jets, a home game against Miami, Panthers, Bengals, Chiefs (all three at home), @ Browns and @ Jaguars. That is 8 wins that are easily achievable if the team is mentally prepared. (From the Rest, some winnable games would be home vs Patriots, and @ Bucanneers).
  5. The No-punt game... The 51-3 shellacking of the Raiders The 95 playoff win over the Dolphins - which sent Shula into retirement. The 31-0 spanking of Tom Brady and the Patriots in the Season opener. And of course the greatest comeback game of all-time.
  6. Rogers is an immature athlete. Marronne is not going to give him a free ride on the bus. Darrick would have to earn everything at OBD. And he should be thankful for this opportunity.
  7. Actually with the patriots offseason the way it is, this is a good year for some open competition for the AFC East crown. It is of course debatable if the Bills have the necessary talent and coaching to be part of that mix. The dolphins definitely are a more complete team and will challenge the Patriots for the East division. However, if the Bills have a few things fall their way, they could be in the thick of the race.
  8. Best played better than Spiller in their rookie seasons. Of course, Chan never gave Spiller a chance. Best has been beset with multiple concussions and his career could be over.
  9. Also with the Bills sucking big time with 4th place finishes consistently, they get to play a lot of 4th place finish teams, who obviously would have stinking QBs too. The only elite QB they play every year is Tom Brady and interestingly, the Patriots kill the bIlls by RUNNING the football. Besides Brady, usually you will see 2-3 other elite/good QBs coming from the other division or conference.
  10. Also, our Kick Return game was pretty average to pathetic and that falls a lot on the kicker....Again, if the Bills use analytics, I think Hopkins will make it as the margin may not be very different.
  11. Remember, if Lindell is let go and replaced by a rookie kicker, we will still save more money on the cap. Another casualty could be Brad Smith. If the Bills are truly using analytics and do find that the difference between a Veteran and a Rookie or a FA is not that big, they are going to trim that money of the roster. Additionally, the salary cap will increase in the next few years again. I think the Bills priority should still be to lock up Byrd, Wood and Spiller for the long run.
  12. The common theme between Williams, Mularkey, Jauron and Gailey is that they did not have a QB. Time will tell if Marrone hit it with E.J. Manuel and to the playoffs. The one year Mularkey had Bledsoe as the QB, we were 9-7 and knocking on the doors of the playoffs.
  13. Fair enough. However the thread had migrated off (or others attacking my comment) to AH being guilty with all these facts...
  14. All the stuff quoted above have no indication that it was Hernandez who killed Lloyd...Just saying. Please tell me which one of the item from your list indicates that Hernandez committed a crime...Renting a car in which four people (including the victim) traveled, cell phone records (I don't think Hernandez has denied that he was with Lloyd), surveillance video (coincidence). I am pretty sure Hernandez had a role (if not commited the murder), but none of what you list will prove anything in the court of law.
  15. Not to rewrite history, when Fletcher was playing for the Bills, he was criticized as too small and too late to get to the Ball carrier and was often seen tackling the runner 10 yards from the LOS. The only positive from Fletcher was that he never missed a game and he racked up many tackles. And then when he went to Washington, the same trend continued. Is Fletcher a play maker or a game changer like a Ray Lewis....Not even close.
  16. I think they did a good job of hiding the evidence and cleaning it up. Before the Police found the "safehouse" they had nothing on him.
  17. And yet you have no freedom....I will starve and be free rather than be behind bars.
  18. +1. This is the most likely scenario. Similar to what Mike Wallace did last year with the Steelers.
  19. Wanny bolted (Rather kicked) to the Buc's as their Special Teams Coach !! :w00t: And don't forget the new Browns DC (former DC of the Cardinals). He was the top of the list of HC searches this year, including the Bills. (Ray Horton?)
  20. Technicalities! Technicalities!....I suppose what the rookies receive is really a partial playbook until they sign their contract.
  21. Because he is yet to sign the tag, meaning, he is not under contract with the Buffalo Bills.
  22. No love for Poz ?
  23. But his Washington Redskins have been no better than the Bills until they acquired RGIII. My point is: Would he have made a difference to the fortunes of the team in the last seven years...No.
  24. Completely agree.. At this point Wood is the best player on that OL...Even better than the "Above Average" Cordy Glenn.
  25. Byrd will sign the 1-year tender if they cannot come to a long-term contract agreement. And if he does sign the 1-year tender, they will simply negotiate that the Bills will not tag him again next year. There is precedence for this before in the NFL.
