  1. Great stuff. Thanks
  2. For a rookie QB to be successful, the team needs to win with a strong defense and a excellent running game. The coaches must be committed to protect the rookie QB and put the offense on the shoulders of the Veteran RBs. If EJ can avoid the big mistakes and manage the game, he can start taking on bigger loads as the season goes by. This is what will make EJ a successful QB. Both Ben and Brady had mediocre rookie seasons with respect to stats, but they had the right numbers on the WIN column.
  3. All that advise from Aaron must have helped him prepare for the NFL!!
  4. Also, how can you forget the famous Herschel Walker trade that turned into THREE Super Bowls for the Dallas Cowboys in four years......I think that beats even the Ricky Williams trade.
  5. Doug Maronne looks like a Young Bill Parcells!!!
  6. Bledsoe was good enough to win with, especially with a good OC that we had. Our defense was horrible. The mistake Mularkey made was in retaining Greggo's defensive coordinator. If he could have convinced Dick LeBeau to stay, I think that team makes the playoffs, irrespective of the result against the Steelers in the season finale.
  7. The same media said that Trend Edwards had the "IT" including Mooch on television...
  8. Thanks for the awesome report. After the INT, I hope EJ was not throwing a towel over his head, but rather go out and make another play....Too often I used to see Fitzpatrick sitting alone at the edge of the bench with a blank look after throwing a pick. Just so unbearable to watch. Awesome...Much better than Chris Brown's report.
  9. How can anyone forget SPILLER!!...Underused is an Understatement here.
  10. Chris Brown already has that Jig with the Bills. The Bills were not going to fire him to hire Vic for that position. May be they could have let Hannah go...But then she is probably being paid 1/10th of what Vic would want.
  11. However, all the advantage is *WITH* the BILLS. They Bills are prepared to carry a cap of 6.9M for the Franchise tag (And they will carry that only if Byrd signs the 1-year tender). The Bills don't have to do anything. I am sure they can play with their 4th round pick. It is Byrd who is going to be sweating. He is already behind in the play book. Plus has zero reps in this system. And if the 4th rd pick does play well, then he may not even have a place on this defense. The Bills could simply refuse to add the "no-franchise-tag" clause and then trade him to the highest bidder (if that is what Byrd wants). Otherwise, Byrd could sign the tender, report to camp and have an outstanding year and then renegotiate a better contract next year.
  12. Milloy played several years for the Atlanta Falcons, while Walker went back to the Raiders and played a few seasons
  13. I don't understand this hatred for BB or the Patriots with regards to the Hernandez situation. Teams make mistakes on Personnel. Were you happy with the Travis Henry situation knowing his background and yet the Bills went ahead and made him a 2nd round pick. Teams always think that they can turnaround the life of a player within their system. The Bills have done it and will do it (Please see Derrick Rodgers) and so will the Pats. The 31 teams skipping him doesn't hold water here...In fact even the Patriots passed on him three times before picking him. The Patriots in the past have been successful in changing players with a checkered past. May be Belichek thought he could do the same with Hernandez. However, BB cannot monitor and control 53 players through 9 months and another 80+ players in the remaining 4 months in the off season. One has to actually be happy that BB and the Patriots took a decisive action of cutting ties with such a player right after the day of arrest. May be BB, the Patriots and the NFL have moved well past SpyGate and are not judged by that anymore. Spygate was roughly a decade ago. The Patriots have continued to excel even after Spygate. Let us not put Belichek and Hernandez in the same class of people.
  14. Aaron Schobel.....The guy game everything on the field with ZERO Help from anyone else.....Aaron was and always will be a CLASS ACT! He definitely belongs on that wall
  15. Why? The Colts with almost a new team went 11-5 and obtained a berth in the playoffs!
  16. Who cares about fans...The NFL players have voted him an all-pro every year except the year he was injured. The coaching staff love him. The matter ends there.
  17. And more cuts will come...Brad Smith and Lindell are walking on Thin ice as they enter training camp. Yes.Yes.Yes.Yes.....These players were let go because their skill set was in the decline and their production did not match what they were getting paid or they did not match the scheme run by the new coaching staff. You simply don't want to try to insert a square peg into a round hole!
  18. Agreed. Wrong choice as proof of roster trimming. Lee Evans was a one-trick pony (albeit a good one at that) and his status of being out of the league a year after the trade is a good indicator that it was about talent evaluation and not about the money. It is the same with Mark Anderson. Is he worth 5M a year for the result he produced....The answer was no. Did the coaches see anything different in him compared to the other OLBs...The answer was no...Those two answers made it easy for the Bills to let him go.
  19. Should we hand him a new contract now.....
  20. The problem is that these guys prepare their reports before even getting a chance to look at the players on that day. They will simply report that the Bills will come 4th once again in the 'tough' AFC East !!!!
  21. I doubt anything can beat the OJ Simpson trial. That was something out of the world.
  22. Bill The one big difference that Wood brings to the plate is his ability to provide a pocket to the QB. When Wood plays, the QB has the extra second to throw the ball. When Wood is not in the lineup, the QB feels tremendous pressure from the middle. I don't have any statistics to back it up, but have watched this phenomenon in the actual games. It is good to good to have finesse guards, but if you don't have a center that can give a pocket to the QB, then it is not much use for the current passing game. Kent Hull was more valued on those 90s line than a LT or Guard. I am not saying Wood is reincarnation of Hull, but he is pretty solid.
  23. The Peters case was unique and different than the normal tagging. The Bills had actually given him a contract a few years before and while Peters may have outlived that contract, it was not a contract expiry situation. Parker himself said in an earlier article that something went wrong in that negotiation. Still the Eagles ponied up the money and the draft pick to get him and they have been happy to have an all-pro for the past four seasons.
  24. Their defense has a well established pass rusher in Cameron Wake. They have two pro-bowl DTs playing on that defensive line. There is a *GOOD* reason why they had so many turnovers and I don't understand why you would wave away something like that as something that cannot be repeated. The dolphins defense has been consistent now for a few years. They have also added a pass rusher in the draft. This defensive line can give the Bills the shivers down their spine. On offense this is 2nd year of Tannehill and they have definitely added weapons for him. Wallace is a legit #1 that they lacked last year. He can make Tannehill now a better QB than he was last year. I am a big BILLS FAN, but I think the Dolphins have a better team *RIGHT NOW* than us and it is not a crime to state that.
  25. Or have a go with the Steeler Mascot who was caught for selling drugs!!!
