What the Patriots are to the Bills, is the Steelers to the Bengals. Steelers and Patriots have franchise QBs and they toy with both these teams season in, season out. That is the 3rd time the Steelers have kicked the Bengals ass in the playoffs recently, starting with the Carson Palmer game.

Not having Clay and a #2 WR (and disappearance of a slot receiver) hurt probably in throwing in the middle of the field. Tyrod showed a bunch of good things: 1. Protecting the football (6 INTs and few fumbles). 2. Vision to take off and get the first down (On most occassions) 3. Not holding on to the football and taking unnecessary sacks 4. Better success rate with the long balls. Now if we can get some help from the TE position and a full TC as the undisputed starter, he can work on the intermediate routes. This offense will be exciting next year assuming we can re-sign Richie and Cordy.

JR, Isn't that we have been saying every year for the last 16 years. We thought we had it when we beat the Pats 31-0 to open the season with that awesome defense. We thought we could do nothing wrong when we were sitting at 6-2 and just needed 4 wins to ensure a playoff berth. We thought we will transition from a 9-7 to a 11-5 team this year especially with the dismantling of the Colts in the season opener........We might end up with another 10 excuses in the next decade!!!

The draft. This team will fill its core holes in the draft.

Marronne is a better HC than an OL coach. He is interviewing for HC positions, not OL coach.

Don't you think that the same offense did nothing in the 2nd half of the games against the Chiefs and Patriots after taking a lead in the 1st half ? The Offense was guilty as much as the defense. Also, both the offense and defense could not make vital plays at the end of the game to make a difference. For example, the Defense allows the Jaguars to score a TD in the last 3 minutes after the Bills ahd take the lead via an INT return for TD. Similarly, the Offense could not muster anything against the Chiefs or the Eagles at the end of the game

This surprisingly would work if Whaley and Rex can put their mind to it. The key is finding that Run stopping MLB for a 3-4 scheme. A player like Spikes would be a great fit . The second issue (not related to LBs) would be to have a game changing FS. I think that is what the Bills will be looking to get at the top of the draft. 1. Nose Tackle 2. Starting MLB 3. Free Safety

Completely agree....And this in fact hurt the Bills during TC. By spreading the reps between Taylor, Cassell and EJ, they could not build much continuity between the QBs and teh WRs....and this showed in the 1st half of the season. Having Taylor be the undisputed starter at the beginning of TC will help the team in 2016

The Jets got a phenomenal season from Fitz because they have two 1000 yard bonafide receivers in Marshall and Decker, plus a star TE to Boot.

Can't agree more....16 years of waiting....One year I sat with my friend who is a fan of the Redskins, when they went to the post season with RGIII. the amount of chatter was unbelievable. Sad we can't have the same hype.

Bill Thanks again for a wonderful season of "A Few Thoughts About the Game...". Really love reading every Monday morning whether we won or lost. 3-headed QB monster in TC did not help this team. It took longer for TT and Watkins to get in Sync. The team missed Clay as a TE down the stretch. Yesterday was obvious how much this team missed him as I did not see a single TE get open. If they can solidify the RT spot and re-sign Richie and Glenn the offense will be ok with a full off season of continuity. Defense is going to get a make over.
