The difference between last year and this year is the defense. As long as this defense plays bend-but-don't-break but don't give up the points, this limited offense does have a chance to get into the playoffs. I think you are missing Phillip Rivers. He is an elite QB in the AFC along with Brady, BigBen and Alex Smith. May be David Carr is also at a higher level than Tyrod. Everyone else is worse or at the same level as Tyrod.

You mean the Bucs saw the weakness and exploited it in their game of matchups !

it is not the secondary but our LBs that opponents are exploiting. And our DT have not been able to penetrate. This defense hinges on the front 4 applying the pressure on the QB and sadly we have regressed significantly in that area, thereby exposing the secondary to the deep ball

I agree. THe Buc's WR/TEs were making it look so easy in the 2nd half scoring 3 TDs after being restricted to 6 points in the 1st half. Losing Gaines hurt the secondary. Wright is not a good player and ALexander was exposed.

Current 4-2 The next three are winnable (2 @ home and 1 on the road @ Jets) 3-0 The following three are the hardest and we probably go 0-3 (2 on the road to WC @Chargers, @KC and then home to NE) 0-3 Then we have four games with 2 home games followed by 2 road games (home to Jets and Miami followed by Road games @NE and @Miami) A 2-2 here will put us @ 9-7 and probably out of the playoffs. Can they win that season finale @ Miami and get to a 10-6 record?

YOu are making an assumption that Sammy would have been injury free, available and played every snap so far. That is a big assumption!

The Pats are Pats! 3rd pack - Starts with two home games and ends with two on the road. vs Colts Vs Dolphins @ Patriots @ Dolphins If the win @ home theme can be maintained, then the Billls will be 7-1 in New Era field. That puts them at 9-5 before they go on the road at Fox Borough and Miami. The Miami season ending game suddenly becomes a huge game if the Bills hope t finish 10-6 with a playoff push for the Wild Card.

The OL came to play today. Mistake free football. Some poor decisions by Tyrod and team. He could have run for the 1st down before half time instead of throwing a difficult pass. They left 6 points on the table before half time. The DL played average. Not much of a pass rush.

Gaines is a factor. His absence was felt in the 2nd half. Wright is a poor back up. The depth is hurting us. With their two big TEs and two big WRs it was going to be tough for our inexperienced DBs to complete.

I thought the biggest issue with moving Glenn and Dareus is the cap hit we would take in 2017 and 2018. They are at least $12M for each player in each of those two years, You are speculating so much about this front office.

Seems to happen multiple times in each game. It completely kills the rhythm and puts the offense in a hole on 2nd and 3rd downs.

The OP gave some real good evidence. Taylor is an above average QB. Let us fix the WR crew, OL and get the Running game going. WE are ranked #29 in the Run game. Detractors will continue to point that the Run game is bad because Taylor is bad. The only grudge I have against Taylor is that he is simply unable to bring the team a win on a 4th quarter comeback. They have all fallen short. However, Taylor is NOT our problem.

The Bills left too many points on the table. They needed that 3 points before the half and the 3 points after the turnover.
