  1. Peterman vs the Chargers they were smelling blood plus this could of been on Peterman more then anyone else . He probably didn't make the proper adjustments at the los. Plus your talking bout the Chargers here probably the best pass rushing tandem in the league and we were leaving our tackles in one on one situations . Which is a horrible decision to make vs that D especially since u have a rookie 5th rd pk making his debut.
  2. Great Question for me the most is 30mil per . In 2016 when Wood went down . The averaged more yds per rush per gm with Groy in the lineup. If we were to sign Cousins we have a capable line moving forward especially if we move Dawkins to the RT. Remember fellas Tyrod holds the ball longer then any QB in the NFL. Our line is just fine we just need some depth.
  3. U hit the nail on the head its gonna cost nearly the same or even more. The difference here with signing Kirk is u know what your getting with him and if u look at the teams in the playoffs this yr we've seen teams make it far with far less at QB. Bortles, Foles and Keenum are not on the same level as Kirk . If we signed Kirk and hit on our pks we become a deadly team to deal with in the near future. Plus we still have more cap space starting in 2019 to go after other top talent players to expedite the process and u know what some of those top teir players might be more willing to come to Buffalo when we have a franchise QB in place.
  4. I was gonna post the same thing for the posters that believe Kirk won't entertain coming to Buffalo. Kirk is a Process type guy and he might fall in love with coach Mcd . I believe that will be what lands him in Buffalo if he chooses to sign with us.
  5. No matter what QB cost money via free agency at the end of the day id rather spend 27mil on Cousins then 21 on Keenum. Btw i got that # from spotrac.
  6. If they trade up to #3 or #4 , its gonna cost them 3 firsts , 21,22 and 1 in 2019 so with that how do we fill our needs then. Via free agency right. We are gonna spend the money anyways. In this case id rather spend it on the QB. QBs especially the good ones and there hardly available via free agency there usually great pkups even though u might be overspending some. There are far more big money signings that flat out bust at other positions. Look at Suh or Haynesworth, Mario etc, etc The price for them 3 firsts are low cost players that fit needs immediately. I'd rather have Cousins and my 5pks . Then Mayfield and some extremely overpaid free agents. We all know big name free agents don't come to Buffalo unless we are severely overpaying.
  7. I am also to a certain extent. But i just can't see McBeane giving up the house for a unknown commodity. I think that's what they want to do build threw the draft. McBeane are not gonna be signing much big money free agents. In this case there signing 1 big guy that fills the biggest need on the team at QB . Plus he's a culture fit . They wont have a prb overspending on a QB then lets say other postions that usually don't end up panning out for teams.
  8. I've taken some time recently to think bout what direction the Bills should take with the most important position in sports QB. I think the majority of fans have also we fall into basically 3 categories #1 Team Trade Up #2 Sign a Vet and draft QB to develop. #3 Sign Cousins and use our draft pks. I thought about these 3 plans and read about many opinions on this board . The best one i believe is #3 sign Captain Kirk. Signing Kirk makes sense on so many levels When building a team the most important factor is building threw the draft i can't see the Bills giving up nearly 2yrs of pks to bank on a QB developing or even worse not developing . McBeane want to build this team in there image and there not gonna do it via free agency . These guys want custom made culture guys that fit there systems and the best place to find them are in the draft. Cousins fits the Bill. This is where Cousins comes in . Captain Kirk is a process type guy. If the Bills were drafting a QB i believe Cousins would be the type of guy they draft. He has all the characteristics and intangibles there looking for as far as Durability, Leadership, Work ethic and being a God fearing man . Ntm he's ready made top 12 QB in the NFL averaging 4250 yds, 31 TDs and over 65% completions over his last 4 seasons. The arrow is pointing up with Cousins as he's just entering his prime at 29yrs old. Now i know people will say 27-30 mil per season that's alot of money and i agree it is but the Bills set themselves up for this type of cap hit . Going into 2019 we have nearly 90mil in cap space with no big dollars free agents on the horizon we should be able to absorb that cap hit easily. Ntm we should be able to land cheap talent and starters at the top of the draft. The Plan Well this is where the fun starts not only for McBeane but for us the fans. We get to use all our high pks 5 in top 95 to fill major holes on this team. This gives McBeane great flexibility during the draft to trade down and even collect more assets . Imagine what these 5pks can do for us moving forward these players will get some much needed experience as rookies in 2018 . With these pks and some savvy free agent additions the Bills will be able to again compete for the playoffs in 2018 hopefully get there and win a gm or 2. But the eye of the prize will definitely be on 2019 where we still will have great cap flexibility with a Franchise QB in place and a young nucleus of talent and another draft to really begin to build for the future yrs and make some noise while doing it. This is the Cousins plan and hopefully we get to see it happen.
  9. Damn it man everyone in the world knows what a catch is except for the NFL. Hey Goodell just go watch some kids play some football at a park or something you will get it then.
  10. How bout the career Wr turned QB coach Culley. I don't trust him to develop young QBs. He should be moved bk to Wrs.
  11. #21 Tremaine Edmunds MLB #22 trade with Cleveland for #33, #35 #33 Harrison Phillips DT #35 Murice Hurst 3 Tech #53 Christian Kirk #56 Sony Michel 3rd rd #95 Dallas Goedart TE If we can have a draft like this it can be a game changer for the Bills. Get me a QB like Alex Smith or Cousins and let's go bk to the Playoffs and some noise while were there.
  12. I can see us bypassing QB here because there won't be one that fits the value available Mason is not a 1st rd player more like a late 2 type prospect . With that being said Tremaine Edmunds is still available at 21 we should take him and not look back , he's a beast. At DT Via, Hurst, Harrison any one of them would be great here.
  13. I wanted Mahomes last yr i loved him. I believe he will be great. Yes he hasn't done nothing yet . But in the finale he looked the part playing basically 3 quarters throwing for 284yds 22-35 and a pk , 8.1 for attempt. He also came in late and led a drive to win the gm after the Chiefs blew there lead. He did all this playing with the bkups vs the Broncos D on the road. Lost in the stats are some amazing plays he made with his arm. Yes he threw a ugly pk early in the gm but he bounced bk nicely and had a great gm. Mahomes is the real deal.
  14. Yea but Tre might of cost us a franchise QB in Mahomes or Watson, I don't care if Tre is the next Revis if that trade cost us a franchise guy we lost by a country 100 miles.
  15. Not really when u got a young unproven QB like Savage heading into the season. I'd be willing to bet vs that team. Kc had been to the playoffs every season since Andy Reid got there they are a better team then Hou.
  16. Reid should return the favor then and trade us Smith for a 5th rder.
  17. We all know who's really in charge its Mcd no doubt about it. He did us a disservice by making the deal with his buddy Andy instead of making the right decision for the Bills. Hou was the obvious choice to make a deal with they were the worst of the 2 teams and definitely had the worst QB of the 2 in a unproven Savage. Make no mistake about it Hou was looking to make a deal and its easy to see when u wanna get in a spot you start calling teams in advance.
  18. Benjamin was injured earlier in the yr before we traded for him that should of been a tell tail sign to not trade for him. Then he he got hurt again vs the Chargers. Benjamin has been hurt more during his career then Sammy and has missed more gms. Dareus trade was a mistake they should of given him more time . From what i hear he was coming along fine for us and buying into the culture. Now we're paying 14mil for a good player that's not here anymore. Dareus also needs help he can't led a Dline by himself ntm he played zero tech most of the last few yrs. That position is not stat friendly but it is necessary because they do the dirty work and take on the double teams and clog the middle vs the run. In my opinion Dareus should of been more of a 3 tech with his talents he would get those double digit sk seasons and push the pocket more. This Wrek fault i was hoping Mcd can realize it.
  19. Its the hardest position in sports to scout . To many variables.
  20. I love the job Mcd and Frazier did with the D. But no matter what that offense was not a winning combination. From the time they hired Dennison anyone with any football acumen can tell u Tyrod did not fit his offense. Tyrod is not a pro style QB the wco is not suitable to Tyrod strength. This was just first of many baffling decisions they made on the offensive side of the ball. So u say fit but these guys kept the guy that's supposed to fit the most the QB. Not only that they brought in Wrs that don't cater to they're QB strengths either. The offense as a whole was a cluster **** . Maybe that should of been the nickname of this offense. My point is the offense was not built correctly from the beginning and we were damn lucky to make the playoffs. More lucky then good. Hopefully Mcd learned his lesson from this and brings in the pieces nessesary to build a offense that can have consistent sustainable success.
  21. Everyone keeps saying we made the playoffs because we got rid all those players. I think its unfair to say that especially since all the players we traded all made the playoffs on other teams.. All of them. I guess they weren't detrimental cancers where they went to play. Btw does anybody stop and think for a second that we might of been better with all the players here? That we might of went 11-5 instead of 9-7 . Everyone seems to make it like those moves were the difference. We have been a basically 8-8 team these last 4yrs the difference was the injuries in 2015 and 2016 that's what kept out the playoffs.
  22. I'm pretty sure Hou offered us that trade as well as Cleveland but Mcd choose to make a deal with his buddy Andy Reid instead . It can not be overstated how much of a bad decision this was. Hou was going with Savage at QB that alone should of been good enough reason to make that deal with them instead of KC. This decision might cost us our franchise QB and i think it falls on Mcd.
  23. Tim Tebow had good stats throwing down the field in college. Actually probably the easiest passes to make considering how open wrs get on that level. I watched some film of White and although i agree he has a strong arm. He struggled badly going to 2nd and 3rd reads and under pressure. He also lacks anticipation skills. I think he's a 3rd day player.
  24. There was no substance or breakdown to back up his opinions. Horrible article.
