The Darkhorse No One has Mentioned
NastyNateSoldiers replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With all that being said this is the same org that went into season with Tobert as there bkup RB. I mean it was the first time in his career he was a #2 ever! He was usually even in his younger days a FB/short yardage bk. Anything is possible with McBeane! I said 3 different times that i wouldn't agree with this signing. What i said was don't rule it out. -

Signing DA can do 2 things for the Bills #1 It can give them a capable starting caliber QB ( Bridge ). # 2 Im basing this signing on the plan that we definitely drafting a QB high whether by trade up or in our original spots in the first rd. With that being said #2 is if that said QB rips it up during preseason DA can be a good Mentor/Clip holder bkup for the young QB. -

I'm not dreaming its definitely a possibility. DA will be 35 when the season starts that's not old for a QB in this era. He's also started some gms over these last 3yrs for Carolina and has played well . If there plan is to draft a QB whether by trade up or at there spot at #21 there gonna need a bridge type guy and with that familiarity with him from McBeane and the cost involved i can see this being there plan. Like i said previously im not saying i agree with this move but I'll tell u what I'm done watching Tyrod I'd rather watch DA throw pks then watch Tyrod not throw anything that's not completely open. -
U can have all the tools in your shed doesnt mean u can build a kitchen or even a bathroom. That's my pov on Allen. He's got all the tools but doesn't know how to use them properly. He's a project and don't trade up for projects. I think he should really start getting consideration in the 2nd or 3rd rds.

Which non QB do you want to draft most?
NastyNateSoldiers replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
#21 - Tremaine Edmunds, I love this kid if he makes it to us we will be lucky. I see perennial pro bowler potential in Edmunds. #22 - Vita Vea , Another possible perennial pro bowl caliber player. The Bills would have to have horse shoes to land these 2 players. Others i wouldn't mind DT Murice Hurst DT Harrison Phillips LB Roqun Smith -
I was looking at the free agents list at QB and 1 name stuck out to me the most as a possible bridge type QB it was Derek Anderson. DA is 35yrs old has alot of experience and won't come with hefty price tag i can see the Bills signing him to a 2yr deal worth up to 20mil based on playing time. Basically if he starts he'll get 10 mil per season if he's the bkup anywhere from 5 to 7.5 that's pretty much the going rate for experienced bkups . Why does he fit? First off he's the prototype QB Beane has been talking bout he's 6'5 and has a big arm has been reasonably successful over his career . DA brings alot of experience to the table and can be a mentor to the QB we draft . There's also that familiarity he has with McBeane with them all coming from Carolina . Being a quality bkup for the latter part of his career DA wouldn't have any prbs with his role as a mentor and he probably would embrace the opportunity to start for a yr or however long it takes for our young QB to develop. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying i like this move. I'm just surprised no one has brought up this player as a darkhorse candidate for the Bills. He can very much be the guy there looking for based on our cap situation and the need to bring in a young QB.

Why not make a play for AJ McCarron?
NastyNateSoldiers replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wasn't Taylor a bkup when we signed him. U see my point. McCarron can do better throwing the ball and that's QBs are supposed to do. Play QB. -
Cousins to Denver?
NastyNateSoldiers replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Your right this shouldn't be allowed at all this will open up a big can of worms the NFL should deal with this In a timely matter. Roger Goodell has to be the worst commish sports. No wonder there losing ratings like crazy. -
The Cousins Plan
NastyNateSoldiers replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
U got to be kidding right? Tyrod wasn't the reason we won 9 gms this yr. When we created 2 or more turnovers a gm we averaged nearly 25pts per gm. 1 or less 12.9. He also played more then a Quarter of the season missing 4 starters on the Oline. He showed his worth this yr more then any other yr. He basically had a whole new Wr core to work with and was still very good. That's a great sign of him being a franchise QB it shows u his weapons don't make he make them. Why didn't u bring up Brees while your at it considering the Saints weren't good for nearly 4yrs before they finally gave him a D to work with and a running gm. -

The Cousins Plan
NastyNateSoldiers replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I realize u don't understand what I'm saying here first off i believe our line is at least middle of the pack pass blocking wise and run blocking there top 5 so there not as bad as u make them out to be. If we keep Cordy we could have one of the best combination of tackles in the NFL. We might need a guard on the right side if Miller doesn't return to form. But otherwise i don't mind going with Incog and Groy at C and LG. U keep bringing up the Chargers and Jets games but i don't see u putting any blame on Castillo for leaving these guys on a island and not double teaming Bosa. Especially during the Chargers gm most teams can't single block those guys. Now u bring up the Jets gm saying u didn't see much worse this yr. Well u must not watch alot of football. I got 4 tvs going on sundays and i can tell u i seen alot worse this season from many teams. I admit Tyrod buys time with his legs at times. But he also gets sacked holding onto the ball way to long way to much. Especially when he's getting rushed and forced to stay in the pocket. Against the Pats, Saints and Jets he had his worst gms because they made him a pocket passer. Hes not good enough to make teams pay from the pocket actually he's pretty poor at that. Tyrod has piss poor pocket awareness most times he can step up and deliver the ball in a timely matter but he's just not capable of doing this. Lastly although Tyrod does pull a houdinie and runs around and alludes pressure every now and then there's also other ways to allud pressure that he's just not capable of like Releasing and finding open receivers quickly and pocket awareness like i said previously . So at the end of the day we can work with what we got. We have way more holes to fill rather then trying to perfect a postion that we are solid at . We have 1 corner on our roster , major holes at LB and DT , Wr and RB . We got needs everywhere. If u look at the roster as a hole u might find that actually the oline is the strength of this team. I know it sounds crazy but break it down . -
The Cousins Plan
NastyNateSoldiers replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We also have 1 corner on our roster as well as many other major holes. Cordy staying put won't affect whether or not we will sign Cousins we have the money for both. With 3yrs remaining and 23mil left on his deal if healthy that's a steal for a LT in todays market. -
The Cousins Plan
NastyNateSoldiers replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If that's the case we did our job and let them severely overpay. If its the Jets or Browns this would be good for us because it opens the door for a trade up. -
The Cousins Plan
NastyNateSoldiers replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm thinking most teams will tap out at about 30per . If it gets to 35 of course he'll take it. But i think teams will have that line they don't want to cross so the major decision will be the fit for Cousins where does he feel he can succeed the most at. -
The Cousins Plan
NastyNateSoldiers replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we only save 4.5 mil by releasing Glenn i don't think that's enough savings consideration his replacement will cost at least that much 5mil per and that's for a 3rd teir tackle. -
The Cousins Plan
NastyNateSoldiers replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the money will be secondary when it comes to Cousins he knows he's gonna get the cash he wants. I think the fit is the most important thing here . If by some chance the deal gets passed 30mil per i wouldnt blame the Bills for backing out. -
The Cousins Plan
NastyNateSoldiers replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We should be in on this give them a 3 and 5 . Easier to trade for Cousins then to outright sign him via free agency. -
The Cousins Plan
NastyNateSoldiers replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The major difference is we don't have #12 to fill the holes . But i see what your saying. This is even more of a reason to sign Cousins because they're gonna want to build this team in there image via the draft. Can't do that when u give up multiple pks in 2018 -19 -
The Cousins Plan
NastyNateSoldiers replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When is enough enough? We keep opening additional holes on this team its gonna eventually bit them in the rear. Btw speaking of olines Cousins played nearly a Quarter of the season missing 4 starters on his line . Anyone see the Seahawks gm he played great despite getting hit on nearly every play he showed his durability big time during that stretch of the season . Cousins would be a great addition to this team -
The Cousins Plan
NastyNateSoldiers replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What makes so sure Cordy is out. Why the hell would we open up another massive hole on our oline. U act like LTs grow on trees. The draft is not strong this yr at oline nor is free agency so where is these 3 players coming from. Also u keep bringing up the Seattle gm where Groy came in on a fly but i don't hear any other examples of him not playing well the rest of the season. Tyrod does allud pressure at time but u have to realize statistically he holds the ball longer then any other QB in the gm. Those 5 guys are giving him that time to hold the ball. With the addition of a QB like Cousins i think our line is definitely good enough to play on sundays and win consistently are they the best no. But they block great for the run gm in the right system they might be actually the best at that considering what they did in 2015-16. With that being said there's much worse olines all around the NFL -

I thought its 4.9 mil. Savings if released. -
The Cousins Plan
NastyNateSoldiers replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If this regime decides to just cut Cordy Glenn then he better be seriously damaged goods . Because he has 3yrs and 23mil remaining on his deal . That's definitely cap friendly in this era even if your a RT that's solid . He can get healthy he's one of the better tackles in this league. -
The Cousins Plan
NastyNateSoldiers replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't agree nearly every line gets beat from time to time. We add a good QB that can actually get rid of the ball on time like Cousins and were bringing bk the power run scheme that this line thrived in that's gonna open up more play action passes. Our oline is far from horrible. Last yr i seen plenty of plays where Tyrod just sat bk there and didn't deliever the ball. I believe as is this line is adequate enough to get the job done. LT Cordy LG Incog C Groy RG Miller / Dukaka RT Dawkins
